He should definitely start Nigeria's next game. He actually threatened the Iran goal which is more than any of the other Nigerian players did. Shola and Messi to swap shirts at the end of their game.

How the Nigerian fans on here can slag Shola off? He's been one of their best players. -

Do you think someone has bet him he couldn't work all these phrases into his commentary? A bit like that time the England team mentioned song titles in their interviews? -

The commentary on ITV is pure filth. He's said "Inviting X (I didn't catch the player's name) to open their legs" and a player being "double teamed". -

I don't disagree, but if no other club is willing to pay what Cabella's club want they aren't in a position of power. Obviously Cabella's club want as much money as possible for him. It's in their interest to try to create a bidding war. It would seem these days that the clubs NUFC try to buy players off run straight to the media to announce what they've been offered. I bet they'd do the same even if NUFC came to them with an acceptable offer just in case another club was willing to pay more. You can't blame them.
-
The thing is, teams are unlikely to pay real big money for Cabella until he has proved he is consistent quality in one of the 'best' leagues (Premiership or Spain). Cabaye wasn't a £19m player until he'd performed on the 'big' stage. True, but he is right again that if Thauvin can cost Marseille 16m (which i doubt the figure is real as i remember should be around 12m), how on the earth that Cabella, a more proven player, would only cost us 8m? It is f***ing stupid. Something (or someone in this case) is only worth what someone else is willing to pay e.g. NUFC got £35m off Liverpool for Carroll. Time will tell if another club thinks Cabella is worth what his club want for him.

Some great goals in this game so far. -
We should be able to loan a good midfielder or two off Chelsea this season. They've got loads of them and they can't all get a game for Chelsea. Pardew is supposedly mates with Jose.
-
He must have a white McLaren P1 car. Parked in the village just opposite yesterday for 3 hrs or so. Wow! Even for a Premier League footballer a McLaren P1 isn't cheap. Prices started from £866,000. The whole production is sold out too. Not doubting your car knowledge but are you certain it was a P1? The 650S has a very similar front end.

The Sho must go on.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27674609 So he wants to leave but won't put in a transfer request? Telling his club he wants to leave should count as a transfer request. It's a disgrace how players can get "loyalty" payments by saying they didn't put in a written transfer request even though they wanted to leave and did everything they could to make it happen (apart from handing in a written transfer request).
-
He wont be coming here if he had any sense. From a purely mercenary point of view NUFC is a good club for players from France to come to. We are a good stage for them. Ba, Remy, Cabaye and Debuchy have all had their profiles raised by playing for us in the Premiership. They also get paid more here than they do in France.
-
We don't know if this is NUFC's final offer. I doubt NUFC would be happy if their first offer was accepted as it would mean the opening bid was too high. The trouble is the selling clubs tend to leak details of each bid to the media, probably trying to drum up interest from other clubs. We may end up getting him in the end. The anguish over the rejected bid could all be for nothing.

So playing Luuk de Jong as the number 9 rather than the number 10 would transform him from utter shite to useful would it? He never looked dangerous at corners. He rarely shot at goal. When he did shoot it was pathetically weak.
-
The excuses some people are giving Luuk de Jong are amazing. The majority of fans have seen the some total of nothing in him. NUFC didn't buy him so there's no need to look for a silver lining. NUFC dodged an expensive bullet when Borussia Mönchengladbach beat us to his signature. You can't blame Pardew for Luuk de Jong's performances at NUFC. Luuk was "Pardewed" long before he even got to NUFC. He's been out of form for 2 years. The best thing for Luuk de Jong would be to go back to the Netherlands and see if he can rediscover his form.
-
To be fair, if Hull want Shola for the Europa League games then it makes some sort of sense. Shola usually does well against non-English teams. Look at him in pre-season. He always scores against the foreign teams. In fact, Shola should go to play abroad. He'd be a goal scoring machine away from English football.
-
There's a lot of hopefully bullshit rumours flying around. NUFC seem to be getting liked to some unlikely players. If NUFC really want Kenwyne Jones they may as well have gone for Carlton Cole on a free last Summer. Hopefully Gomis is Shola's replacement. http://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2014/bafetimbi-gomis-3-turkish-offers-newcastle-and-west-ham-talks/

Why do the people who say they don't care always post that they don't care after every transfer rumour? I understand the sentiment behind it but this forum is going to get boring if people post "what's the point?" after every bit of news. If you really didn't care you wouldn't spend so much time posting.
