  4. Yes, I was drawing attention to the Shearer video. You can tell they keep asking him about Owen because he is a friend of Owen's. apparently they fell out when shearer dropped him at the end of last season If that's true it just makes Owen look even more of a cock. He seems much more animated talking about horses than he does football. I think he'll be retired soon. I can't imagine him being willing to play for 'lesser' teams.
  5. Which is why Platini at UEFA wants clubs to operate within the restraints of what they earn rather than what they may earn or can borrow. What's happening at Portsmouth and the other clubs in trouble is a wake up call. Will it be heeded?

  7. My opinion on Ashley is based on the fact that we're stuck with him and he's stuck with the club. Chanting get out of our club is pointless as who is the alternative owner? A South African consortium? Until the World economy improves dramatically we're unlikely to get a better or richer owner. I'm not against the club living within its means either.
  8. There's a video of Shearer getting asked if Owen will be going to the World Cup: - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/man_utd/8527408.stm
  9. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8527495.stm I can see their players being paid late again or not being paid at all. If that's the case they can just walk can't they?
  10. He provided the cross for Carroll's equaliser against Swansea.
  11. All the talk of a South African consortium being interested in them sounds very familiar. Probably the same bullshit merchants who were supposedly interested in buying Newcastle (without ever getting close to doing so).
  12. Damien Duff scores yet again for Fulham. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8526549.stm
  13. Van Aaholt is here til March 1st isn't he? Yes. Newcastle haven't asked about extending Van Aaholt's loan yet so we don't really know if Chelsea want him back as cover for the injured Ashley Cole yet.
  14. I thought we were supposed to be the 'Manchester United' of the Championship. It seems West Brom are with all the penalties they get and the amount of extra time in this game.
  15. That's a horrible experience, but don't let that shape your impression of going to games. There will always be people around that get a kick out of being confrontational. There are arseholes the world over.
  16. I thought the relegation would have cleared out a lot of the negative supporters from attending matches. It would seem some people are never happy unless they are moaning.
  17. Is http://www.readytogo.net named after the awful "Ready To Go" Republica song that Sky TV used to play all the time?
  18. What's the situation if they liquidate? 2 teams get relegated from the Premiership as the 3rd position is taken up by what would have been Portsmouth? How does the Championship adjust to only 2 teams coming down from the Premiership but 3 get promoted to the Premiership? 4 go up from League 1 or only 2 are relegated from the Championship?
  19. They may have started out dirty but once the marriage was secured they may have lost all interest in sex. It's a common trait. PS You are taking this way too seriously.
  20. I thought that was my Freeview box playing up. Good to know it wasn't.
  21. Your dad is wrong. I see Sky are calling it a controversial goal. I don't see why. He's always been a bit mental over the quick freekick, tbh. I bet Arsenal wouldn't be complaining if they'd scored that way. Even the ITV commentators backed the Ref and blamed Arsenal for screwing up.

  23. She might be an ice queen and not even allow him to do that. Anyway, if you'd got other women throwing themselves at you offering to 'do the work' for you I'm sure you'd be tempted (Which is why footballers who know they can't resist shouldn't get married. I bet Peter Crouch doesn't cheat). Tiger Woods is another one. Compare his wife to the women he's had affairs with.
  24. Agree. Same with the one/s Ashley Cole allegedly had sex with. True. That could also be the same reason why Ashley Cole allegedly cheats on Cheryl Cole.
