  1. Turn Sky Sports on at 3:58pm. Put the sound on low until kick off (if you don't want to hear the biased, anti-NUFC commentary keep the volume low). At half time turn the sound off, go for a drink, go to the toilet. Second half put the volume back to your preference, at the end of the game switch the TV off. Problem of Sky TV's pundits solved. That's what I do.
  2. I'm sure Mike Ashley does want to sell NUFC. The only problem is he reportedly wants £450m for it which is way more than other clubs have gone for. He's held on to NUFC too long. The TV money has gone through the roof but so have transfer fees and player wages. The pool of possible buyers will have shrunk again due to the amount of money required to buy and fund a Premiership club. Also, the buyer has to accept that they'll almost certainly lose money rather than make money. We'd therefore need a buyer viewing their ownership of the club as a status symbol (e.g. Abramovich) or as a promotional venture (like the owners of Man City or PSG).
  3. He might as well have offered £100m. It is ridiculous that footballers get a bonus anyway. It's as if the £40K+ a week isn't enough, they need an extra incentive to finish as high up the table as possible.
  4. His goal drought is over. He scored against PSG. http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41205167
  5. PSG are treating Ben Arfa the same way NUFC are treating Colback. Both were told to find themselves a new club in the Summer and both decided to sit on their contract.
  6. I beg your pardon. Getting banned on video evidence after the event is so much better than being given a red card during a game. Shelvey got banned for kicking out (later rescinded) and for racist abuse (found guilty but might not have been).
  7. We're right to slam players who keep getting sent off. How many times do we have to support Mitro and Shelvey for getting sent off? Getting sent off is a regular occurrence for them compared to most other players.
  8. Let's see if he maintains his goal scoring run over the next 3 games for NUFC. Oh he can't as he got himself banned again. I hope his replacements do well. Mitro would only have himself to blame for dropping down the order.
  9. Milner didn't have an agent (he may do now). He used the PFA back in 2005. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/trusting-their-own-how-pfa-offers-alternative-to-exorbitant-agents-317168.html
  10. Mitro is nervous so he goes and needlessly elbows someone when NUFC are 2 - 0 up and cruising. You sound like people who try to make excuses for a dog that's bit someone - "He was excited".
  11. He had a reasonable chance at a run of games due to Gayle not being 100% fit in body or mind. He then got himself banned for 3 games again.
  12. "The former Newcastle striker" is back playing again. http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41058185
  13. NUFC need to find out from Serbia how they stop him from doing needless Red card offenses.
  14. He can't be hounded out. He can only be bought out. He doesn't care about anything other than money.
  15. As if Rafa would hang around just to avoid having to pay £5m. He must have tens of millions of pounds. I'm sure he could afford to take the £5m hit to go to a better job or just to leave if he'd had enough of Mike Ashley's NUFC regime. Hope he stays. This season is going to be tough as it is now. If he leaves it's game over.
  16. We're stuck with him unless an Arab oil nation fancy paying him £400m. He's held on to NUFC too long for his own good. Average players now go for £20m+ which he won't pay. The pool of possible buyers for the club has shrunk to an even smaller number due to the money required to fund a successful Premiership team. Nobody looking to buy a club can expect to make any money out of it. Clubs are now vanity projects or promotional vehicles for Arab investment funds, oligarchs, etc.
  17. Marseille can fuck off with a loan. They sell players to us who flop, we loan them back as they haven't got the cash to buy then after a year they pay much less than we bought the player off them for.
  18. No. "Emergency loans" after the transfer window closes is no longer allowed. That stopped a couple of seasons ago. That's why the last day of the transfer window now goes crazy with loan deals.
  19. It's the Shelvey / Mitrović tag team. As soon as one completes a ban the other starts one. This ban should win Mitrović some more fans. "He's crazy lol", "Look at how much passion he shows", "He loves the club", "He's a mad bastard", "He's daft", etc. No, he's a fuckwit. We know the FA / Refs / Media are always looking to screw us over. Don't hand it to them on a plate.
  20. My point was more about the 5 year contracts and the better than most clubs wages paid. Did NUFC really need to offer Hanley a 5 year contract and a massive increase in his wages to make him want to leave Blackburn?
  21. Maybe not 2 year contracts but they got 5 year contracts. Also, apparently Hanley is on very big wages compared to what he was on at Blackburn. If so, why? NUFC certainly shouldn't have had to pay Premiership wages to Championship players to get them to come.
  22. I think we'll loan out most of the deadwood and bring in a few on loan. I do think there will be a lot of business done before the transfer window deadline. Too many players wanting game time ahead of the World Cup. Clubs with too many players. Clubs will buy players and then need to clear space in their squads. Like Rafa said, there'll probably be a few surprise names that become available. Whether NUFC get any of them is another matter.
