You'd hope players who want away (Janmaat, Sissoko, etc) would be busting a gut for the rest of the season to try to impress potential new employers. -

Regarding the case against him, I assume every single piece of evidence and witness statements weren't all made public. Those fools defending him won't have seen or heard all the evidence. What sort of person publicly sides with a person who has pleaded guilty to what he has?
-
What qualifier? Friendly of course. Good thing he didn't get on if you ask me. I don't follow internationals that closely so wasn't sure if any of these games had anything riding on them. If he plays against Estonia on Tuesday I hope he scores. He could do with the confidence boost.
-
Serbia lost 1 - 0 to Poland yesterday. Mitrović was on the bench but didn't play. Do Serbia have better strikers? Was it a friendly or a qualifier?

Seems that list of players away on international duty I posted earlier in the week was missing a lot of players (I got it off nufc.com who have since updated their list). Quite a few players away which won't help our cause. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-players-away-international-11084634

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35876607 Worst comment is the woman at the end who only worries about England getting Champions League places.
-
You'd hope justice is done and Sunderland are relegated but life doesn't work that way. Probably Newcastle and Norwich will get Relegated while the paedo playing Sunderland stay up and rub our noses in it.
-
Slaven Bilić and Claudio Ranieri say hi.
-
Frightening levels of drivel. Chris Sutton is one of the stupidest people on the press circuit. Imagine uttering the phrase: "Rafa Benitez is a big gamble, especially when Nigel Pearson is available" with a straight face. The joke is, if Rafa doesn't keep us up the idiot pundits will say it proves they were right about Rafa not being the right choice. Nevermind the fact our squad is not fit for purpose and nobody could probably have done any better.
-
A Sunderland player fouled Mitro (but it wasn't given) just before the foul was given against him. It all adds fuel to the fire of my theory that the refs don't like NUFC.
-
As usual, we're still miles clear of our rivals at the top of the Injury league: - http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php

From the first team only Wijnaldum, Sissoko and Aarons are going away on international duty. Janmaat has withdrawn from the Netherlands squad due to injury. It means Rafa and his team will get to work with the majority of the first team during the international break. He'll probably need to come up with a plan for when Shelvey is out as he is 1 yellow card away from a 2 game ban.

Our players don't do gamesmanship. They don't tend to dive or shriek when tackled like a lot of the opposition do. Our players don't complain about decisions either. Having said that, I don't think we get decisions when we should so cheating to get a decision is probably even less likely to be given. Whoever we play up front never gets a decision no matter what the opposition do to them. Mitro rarely wins a foul.
-
No Sunderland players were booked were they? Most of our players were booked for a foul they committed after being fouled themselves where the ref didn't even blink and let play continue. Stopping the game during a Newcastle attack as a Sunderland player was down with cramp took the piss. I genuinely think the refs hate us for some reason.
-
I'd start him (if he's fit enough) in our remaining games. He's probably still our most likely goal scorer even though he's not the player he once was. He needs someone like Mitro up with him though as he doesn't hold the ball up when he's up front on his own. Hopefully we'll see him smile due to scoring goals.
-
It's the way he is win, lose or draw. It grates when he misses a chance or we lose a game and he's grinning.
-
He was grinning away when he came on. We're a goal down at home to Sunderland in a crucial relegation game and he's smiling like he's just heard a good joke.
-
The Sunderland commentator on BBC Radio Newcastle mentioned that Sunderland won't want Norwich to beat Newcastle in the next game as it would put Norwich further ahead of Sunderland. I bet a lot of Mackems will still want Newcastle to lose.
-
NUFC fans have strange favourite players. Cult heroes rather than actual heroes. We haven't really got any players I'm that bothered about these days. Our standards for heroes has fallen a long way. Just putting effort in and looking like you care makes you a favourite these days. If we get relegated I can see us keeping Mitro for the Championship.
-
I was surprised how shit the team played in the first half considering we were at home, had the crowd behind them and had the boost of the new manager. Hopefully that point will become the platform. At least the team won't be miserable as they avoided losing. Losing would have killed any positivity.
-
We're going to have to defend well as we don't have anyone who looks like they can score goals regularly.
-
Jason Roberts on Football Focus said he'd rather have Big Sam as manager for a Relegation battle. I bet Benitez will be desperate to keep NUFC up so he can remove the blemish from his CV of not having been in and won a Relegation battle before.

Even on the days they train it's not like they are there the full 9 to 5 day.
