  1. Just imagine playing Barcelona at home. The pre-match hype. The CL music. Messi on the pitch at SJP. Perchinho would have him in his pocket of course
  2. It's a bit more complicated than that. People had been turning against summer tours from big European clubs for a while now, particularly when they disrupt out own domestic league, which takes place over the Spring and Summer. Barcelona's attitude really took them over the edge though. From the minute they stepped off the plane, it was clear that Guardiola and the players hated having to come here. Messi's answered the first question at the press conference "how does it feel to be in Korea?" by saying "I'm so jet lagged and tired, I honestly don't even know where I am." None of the Barcelona players would answer any questions from the press outside of the official presser and had expressions on their faces that made it clear that they really, really didn't want to be here. (Except for Ibra. Reportedly he signed every autograph he was asked for the duration of the tour and couldn't stop talking to the Korean press ) Guardiola's threat to breach contract was really just one of many things that showed Barcelona's disdain for the event in general. Playing a B-team for most of the game and putting Messi on for something like 15 minutes somehow felt more insulting than just not playing him at all. The whole thing just felt massively unprofessional and more than a little condescending. This was in stark contrast to Man United, who have always been vomit-inducingly media-friendly whenever they're here.
  3. Could have decided that they do more harm than good after the reception Barca got in Korea a couple of years ago.
  4. Let's keep this dream alive. At least untill I come over.
  5. Also, I actually think Wigan away might be our toughest remaining fixture. They've hit their annual "great escape" form.
  6. Can see us being involved in a Spurs 2005/2006(or was this 2006/2007?) scenario where we're in the driver's seat on the last day then everybody gets hit with food poisoning or some shit and we miss out on goal difference. Nah, fuck it. We're doing this. We deserve it.
  7. These Man City cunts are blatantly going to fuck it up against everyone except us.
  8. Seems like an excellent idea to me. Just do away with the Champions league tag and call it the European cup again.
  9. Would be fucking amazing if we clinched a CL spot by beating Man City at home while I'm over there. Just thinking about it gets me all
  10. If Simpson's going, we probably need one.
  11. I'll be starting off from London though. Right now my schedule looks like Chelsea v. NUFC on Wednesday, Championship playoff on Thursday and Friday, Arsenal v. Norwich on Saturday, and NUFC v. MCFC on Sunday. I suppose Arsenal v. Norwich is droppable depending on where the Championship playoff matches are. Feel like those would be much more fun.
  12. In addition, does anyone know how hard it is to get tickets to Championship playoff matches? I see that the first legs are on May 3rd~4th and I'd love to watch both if it's in any way geographically feasible.
  13. Okay, buying tickets now. Just paid for $1000 of airfare. 40 pounds feels like nothing now
  14. Thanks Ronaldo. So upper tier, lower tier, or anywhere in the corner?
  15. Mike - Andy Carroll Betrayed his first club to bandwagon jump to another team. Turned out to be not worth it.
  16. All things considered I'm pretty sure we're a lock to finish sixth. Just have to hope the FA cup pans out properly and that gives us a Europe spot. Sixth is fantastic either way, but no Europa League after the season we've had would be heartbreaking.
  17. In all likelihood Arsenal and Spurs won't be dropping more than 8~10 points or so for the rest of the season, so we pretty much need to win every game for a CL spot. Worth a dream, I suppose.
  18. I don't know how you can afford this lifestyle. I went to see Marseille at the Emirates (70 pounds for a brilliant view of a boring 0-0) and had to fast for about a month, and this was without paying travel costs. When I do go to SJP, I am going for the most inexpensive seat allowed by law. Where are these? A combination of having a regular job and the magic of interest-free credit card installments. It's not like I do this every week anyway I haven't been for three years now.
  19. Sure this question has been asked before somewhere but can't seem to find it... Where exactly is the "singing section" in SJP? (which section, which level) I've always gone for the posh seats whenever I've been so I could get a good view of the match but having gone to an away game, I feel like having that sort of atmosphere is worth a lot more than being close enough to make out the zits on Danny Simpson's forehead.
  20. Sunderland win anyday. They're not in contention with us so why should we care how many points they pick up.
  21. Lets win every game for the rest of the season and keep that Champions League dream alive

    Danny Guthrie

Was certainly miles ahead of the two piles of shit they had playing CM yesterday.
  23. Wolves would agree to this why?
