  1. It still feels weird that I've missed Zurab Kizeroiqwahpqoweir's entire Newcastle career
  2. Hope so. Assuming we ever had any
  3. I'd assume this was just ITK bollocks but it interests me that you mention that Carr was flying out to the Far East, given that there was rumors about Carr coming over here to look at a Korean player last month and I just dismissed them as... well.. ITK bollocks. Not claiming ITK at all, it was a while ago, was South Korea I believe, the Barton shenanigans brought it (the big changes bit) back to mind, that's all. Well, if we put two and two together it does seem like Carr was indeed in Korea to watch the player in question, without informing the player's agent or his club, even. Probably not a whole lot in it since obviously we don't make a bid for everyone we scout, but interesting that he's coming all the way out here nevertheless. I fairness, you don't have to inform a club (or player/agent) if you're purely scouting. My cousins hubby is a freelance scout, most recently for WBA, he's based in NZ but spends a lot of time over here, the States and Europe. He gets a list of player type/positions of interest to the club that's looking, sometimes it's a brief to look at a certain player, but not always. Sometimes it's because a fellow scout asks him to do a report on a specific player and cover some ground for him. It's a very you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours business. The head scouts, attached to clubs, may then take a personal look at a player if consistent reports are good. They get players watched multiple times by "thier mates". Otherwise the "cousin-in-law" just takes in whatever games he can to see what takes his eye and will pass on leads/reports to his fellows in return for the same back, when he wants it. How they get paid if a lead is taken up I haven't a clue. The media over here had the club officially rubbishing the rumors by saying "Newcastle didn't inform us that a scout was coming, therefore he couldn't have been here." I guess it's sort of a gentlemen's agreement thing?

  5. I get this weird feeling that we're going to have this fantastic window, sign Gamerio, Gervinho, and Cabaye and a couple other good players, re-sign Jose, basically do everything right, and then fuck everything up on August 30th by selling Tiote to Chelsea for 25 million.

  7. He knows he's leaving so he doesn't have to deal with Pardew's "no Twitter" rule anymore
  8. Allow me to completely divest myself of any common sense or realism for just three minutes here. Krul Simpson Taylor Coloccini Enrique Nolan Tiote Cabaye Gervinho Gameiro Ben Arfa :fwap::fwap::fwap::fwap::fwap::fwap::fwap: Okay, common sense back on now. Howay Shola.

    Danny Guthrie

He's much more useful to us than the five quid and a bag of crisps we'd get by selling him.
  10. "Never heard of him but...BRUCE OUT!" None of them will have a f***ing clue who he is. They'll see a 40 second clip of him on youtube and think he's one of the best players in the world. To be fair, that's not entirely untrue
  11. Sunderland don't need to be jealous of us, they have Muntari and his Champions League medal, remember? Oh... Wait.
  12. Looking forward to oldtype promoting Park over the summer. Our papers are already ing with excitement at the prospects of a move to England. Was looking through their squad earlier at possible recruits.....but I can see why they got relegated. I don't follow the French league that closely but their squad really does looks very weak compared to the previous Monaco sides... They're really disgustingly bad. Park was playing for a better team in the K-League with us than he is right now at Monaco.
  13. On a more serious note, I have to say that despite everything I'm still in mild disbelief that one of the key players from the French champions is willing to sign for... well, us. Is there something about our club that I'm overlooking that makes us worth more than a season in the Champions League?
  14. I look forward to the day that we're strongly linked with a Korean player, so I can absolutely swamp this place with rampant ITK-ing

  16. I'd imagine they want him to leave now for a good fee. Come on man, if nothing else they'll want him to sign a contract rather than not if only because it guarantees a higher fee for him.
  17. Liverpool have agreed a deal with Honda. ...the carmaker, not the player

    Sebastian Larsson

Someone has to score for you to get an assist and birmigham were allergic to goals.

    Sebastian Larsson

I expect he'll be in an nufc shirt by the end of next week
  20. Right down to the lack of net spend/ambition

    Joey Barton

I honestly do wish he wouldn't say things like "closing in on a player" or "60-40". It makes him sound like kinnear and those deals never, ever come off.
  22. Is the transfer window even open? No. Mike Ashley can force the transfer window to open.
  23. Which Mike Ashley will do without hesitation the moment any serious bid comes in. Oh, and we're getting relegated next season. And the club will go bust the season after that. And then the rapture will happen for real. And none of us will make it.
