  1. Saudi Arabia have sacked their manager after their unexpected 2-1 loss to Syria. New man Nassar Al Johar is their 58th manager in the past 57 years, and also their 12th in the last decade. Compared to this lot NUFC is a paragon of stable employment.
  2. Weird. Those are people I hang out with, although I'm not in that particular picture. But I don't know who the person who gave the interview is though. He isn't the guy who runs our forum. Alan Smith actually had a pretty big teenage girl following here, but given our usual reaction whenever he plays it's pretty easy to understand why we chased them all away.
  3. It's just another poster with another stupid vendetta against another player. We've all seen it before, lets move on.
  4. Yeah they have a new guy. He claimed that he'd get the team "playing football," but apparently that translates to "we'll do the same thing but with a shitter defense." Their keeper has always been dodgy as fuck though
  5. That's ridiculous like Turns out I was wrong, there was a yellow for time wasting directly followed by a red and a pen for a push in the box. Still a ridiculous decision though.
  6. Commie bastards v. Rich bastards on right now. People's Rooney is playing, just won a pen.

    Tamas Kadar

could just be that we're going to reassess the situation in a month's time and extend if necessary. With Sol seemingly out of the picture now we might need him back if one of our defenders gets injured
  8. http://pds5.egloos.com/pds/200703/05/55/d0029655_1003248.jpg Leaked shot of our new kit
  9. I've been waiting for the first signs that everything is going to fall apart since Pardew came in. This and the match itself probably qualify. Joy.
  10. Messi contributes more to general play. Ronaldo didn't need to.
  11. The text feed I'm looking at has just told me that the ref sent off one of our players and awarded a penalty for... time wasting? Surely this is a joke
  12. I get to watch shit team v. shit team over and over again for the past few days on Al Jazeera, but I just happen to be at the airport at exactly the time that we're playing. And I'm in the one airport on Earth without a single television. Fucking hell.
  13. Dear lord. There is not a single god damn telly in this entire god-forsaken airport. ARGH
  14. ALLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH ALLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH ALLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH ? Fun fact about the Japanese: they deliberately chose the stadium where they lost to minnows Iraq (who had to play their home games in Qatar due to insufficient facilities) to crash out of the World Cup preliminaries in '94 as their training ground. Would make it all the more sweet if they managed to crash out of their group here. It was the last day of Asian Qualifying and the Japanese needed to draw lose to Iraq and we needed to beat North Korea by two clear goals to get through. North Korea blatantly threw the match just to f*** the old enemy over and we won 3:0. Probably the last real instance of North/South cooperation. The Japanese were leading 2:1 up till extra time when they conceded from a corner, missing out on World Cup qualification yet again ('98 was their first time at the finals.) We call that day the "The Miracle of Doha." The Japanese call it "The Tragedy of Doha."
  15. Scum of the Earth down 0-1. Go corrupt Middle Eastern dictatorship(aka Jordan)! Commentator on Al Jazeera is so excited I think he's in the process of cumming in his pants.
  16. Late to the party, but that was the worst performance I've ever seen and we deserve to be relegated down to the Northern Premier League just for how ridiculously bad that was. Just totally, unbelievably bad, I cannot express in words how abject that was. I'm sure most people on the forum know me as a pretty sensible guy. Well, I think every single player on the pitch yesterday should be sacked and preferably have their legs broken into three pieces. It was that bad. 24 hours after the fact I'm still so pissed off that I'm almost numb.
  17. "I was always attracted most to joining City." That contradiction should go down well with City fans. It's almost embarrassing how avaricious all of their players are. How are the fans supposed to identify with the current squad? Hey, if the fans don't like it, the club can always buy new ones.
  18. I know who to nominate for worst football poster this year now.
  19. Ironically, I'll miss this because I'll finally be in the same time zone as this lot. Working on a Saturday
  20. They're spending 7m on keane and no doubt shelling out a hefty loan fee for bentley. Smacks Of desperation. Guess this explains why they're selling us Larsson. Hard to shake the feeling that we've been outmaneuvered.
  21. Djeparov Burn qatar, burn
  22. Played for my local club for half of the season, we took him on loan because Bunyodkor were on the verge of going bust and couldn't handle his wages. Played a big role in our title run. Very hard working and has a beautiful left peg. really does remind me of Emre (not just because of his height ) The Uzbeks are my second team in this tournament and I would like to see the nation of Qatar implode into a ball of fire, so it's pretty clear who I'm cheering for here Yeah the Bunyodkor experiment seems to have crumbled pretty quickly. All their foreign and good Uzbek players have all departed rather sharply. They were always a joke. Spent ridiculous sums of money trying to win the AFC Champions League but failed miserably every year.

  24. Uzbeks have got a decent side. Maksim Shatskikh and Aleksandr Geynrikh are a pretty threatening front two by Asian standards, and Server Djeparov is just a classy little player The Uzbek Emre.
