  1. The thing is that Moses is probably looking for a shop-window club where he can show off his stuff for a couple of years and get his "dream move" to a top 4 side. In that respect, being a "big club" or having lots of fans probably matters less to him than being guaranteed playing time in the Premiership. Additionally, past example has shown that moving to Newcastle isn't exactly the best career move for young prospects...
  2. He looks a damn good player. Very creative and always to seems to get himself in good positions. I've been touting him to make it in Europe ever since he made his debut for my local club, but it's still surprising how quickly he's adapted. The lad's mentality is his biggest strength imo, I've never seen a more fearless player. I feel that part of what's held Park back in the Prem is that he's very hesitant about using his technique or trying risky moves (Fergie probably had a hand in this as well. Park is a completely different player when he's captaining the national team.) Not so with Lee. Keep an eye on Ki Sung-Yong at Celtic. He was fantastic working in the same team as Lee and I'm sure he'll be making to move over to the Prem within a couple of years.
  3. Two more goals for Park Joo-Young at Monaco. I haven't actually seen him play this year but the local press is making it sound like he's ripping the French league to shreds! (Perhaps babatunde could enlighten me on this?) Between him, Lee Chung-Yong at Bolton, Ki Sung-Yong at Celtic and the usual suspects (Park Ji-Sung, Lee Young-Pyo etc) I don't think we've ever had a stronger national team. Summer can't come soon enough.
  4. Fulham would be the perfect career move for him. Oh well.
  5. I've got a bad feeling that some Prem side is going to come in last minute and we'll be looking at this thread ruefully in a year's time. (Much like the Arshavin/Modric threads.)
  6. Show me a post that is anti-Newcastle by someone on here who is a Newcastle fan. oops, that would be anti-nust. sorry
  7. Being anti-Keegan or anti-nust did not(and still doesn't) equal being pro-Ashley, something Certain people tend to struggle to understand for some reason As for williamson, I've got a good feeling about him. Feel like he could be a player who turns out to be unexpectedly solid in the prem
  8. Seems like exactly what we need. We're one injury to Taylor or Colo away from an epic shit-hits-the-fan moment. Good cover for next to nothing is exactly the kind of sensible signing that NUFC has failed to make for so many seasons now.
  9. I'll support him if we buy him, but I don't think we should. Is this position hard to understand? If you read my posts on this page you won't actualy find me saying that we should buy him either. Are my posts that hard to understand? Based on that reply? Ummm... Yes.
  10. We don't have anyone their so they can extend the tournament another month for all I care.

  12. I've missed you man the non-gay man-love is mutual I assure you. Although I wish I was doing something more exciting 18 hours before having to report back for duty. When will you be joining us non-army folks again full-time? January 1st, 2013 It'll be a 9 to 5 job for me starting late March though. For now I just get out on weekends. f*** me that's a long time Does the 9 to 5 mean you'll be around after March then, or? Less than when I was bumming it up in college, but yeah, I'll be able to log on every day.

  14. I don't see how Beckford, who's older, more hyped, and never played in the top division is in any way comparable to Bassong. It's all immaterial anyway. My experience with NUFC tells me that the very fact that we've been discussing this lad for 41 pages means that he'll never sign for us.
  15. 40 minutes, all Man U, Birmingham take the lead from their first set piece. Yup, I love football.
  16. He's korean, he'd fit into most people's pockets. You've just reminded me how much I missed your cracking sense of humor over the past four months.
  17. Well, this is a pretty s*** match. Doesn't help that Stephen Carr of all people is keeping wor Park in his pocket.
  18. Would definitely rather bring Harewood or someone else serviceable on loan than blow big money on this lad. Just don't see how a 26-year old who's never played in the Prem can be expected to make the step up now. It's a gamble whether or not he'll succeed in the Championship, never mind the Prem.
  19. Who is that brilliant right back and why does he look like Stephen Carr? Christ, and Bowyer plays for them too?
  20. I've missed you man the non-gay man-love is mutual I assure you. Although I wish I was doing something more exciting 18 hours before having to report back for duty.
  21. oh well, might as well watch BFC v MU since I've got nothing better to do with my weekend.
  22. Landon Donovan plays for Everton? Between being away for 4 months and us not playing in it, I've been completely out of touch with the Prem this year (haven't watched a single match.) Going to have some major homework to do if we do get back up!
  23. Whoever wrote that up wants shooting for putting up a headline like that in January.
  24. Zambia 4 - 2 South Korea It just sank in that basically our entire starting XI now plays in Europe now and that we're pretty bad without them. I doubt anybody cares but it just reminded me about how fast time has gone by. I'm still used to Ji-Sung Park and YP Lee being our only players abroad.
