Wigan are dismantling us. Can't believe this is a home game.
-
Rooted to foot of table? Check. Key player injured? Check. Chelsea away coming up? Check. :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic:

Nailed on 0-1 loss now then. That's how it usually works with us and Wigan right? We bang our heads on the wall for 90 minutes and they just nick a random free kick goal off Ryan Taylor.
-
He actually looked like he had lost a lot of weight in the few pre-season training photos he was in.
-
3-1 to us. Some combination of Barton, Martins, and Ameobi. Sibbers can have a goal and be class by not celebrating it.
-
I can't search with that, but my hometown is apparently 5354.81 miles from St. James' Park

Considering how much of an issue this have been in America lately, I wouldn't be surprised if there's some usage of performance enhancing drugs going on under the table because of the league's ridiculously lax regulations. (Obviously not to an extent anywhere near that of the US) Would explain Hull City, at least.

As long as Kinnear can keep us up, they can take as long as they want as far as I'm concerned.

That match was my first ever proper football match That sort of game is what football is all about imho ,every emotion and that is a game i will never forget .The Carney brothers were freinds of mine so this had a more personal connection for me .Gone are the days when the Shoulder,Waddle ,Carneys of this world are given a chance and it is a sad indiciment of our game that no manager in the top flight takes a chance of there ilk (maybe poorer teams do but cannot remember ) get a chance nowadays with all these over paid premaddonas . To be fair, the reason they're not being given a chance is because they're not very good. Nowadays, if you're not living in some jungle village in Africa or something and you haven't been picked up by a professional club in some form by age 18, you're probably not good enough and that's it. (I suppose there are a tiny, tiny number of exceptions, like Klose.) With the improved information capability/scouting, the whole "diamond in the rough" thing just doesn't happen anymore.

If Butt gets a new contract, I'm just going to put myself out of my misery and support Blyth Spartans or something.
-
watching motd right now, Cacapa is even worse than I remembered. He is literally fucking up in some form on EVERY Fulham attack.
-
Fell out with Keegan didn't he? Wanted to move back to the North West where his home and family was, i recall. You big fat WUM. I think there was talk about him being loyal to Big Sam and never really taking to Keegan. Not sure where i read it though. The people running the club aren't stupid (I know, despite some evidence to the contrary) so I don't think he would have been sold unless there were some serious personal issues.

I agree that whatever contribution Dyer made to the club has to be balanced out with the damage he's done due to his row with SBR and the Bowyer brawl. Particularly the latter. That day is still such a bad memory, only time I've actually felt ashamed to be a Newcastle supporter.
-
what's wrong with Taylor by the way, is he injured?
-
we've shown that we're capable of playing well and winning despite our problems in the attack or midfield. nobody is capable of winning when Cacapa is giving away goals for free like that.
-
there was most certainly a push on Cacapa beforehand that should have been called. I wasn't close enough to comment on the actual pen though, will have to watch MoTD. If it's yet another bad decision that's gone against us I'm going to explode.

someday, somewhere, some doctor is going to make a fortune writing a medical journal that explains Kieron Dyer's body.
-
Probably not, due to the stigma of being... well... Shola Ameobi. If Heskey gets an injury or something though, why the fuck not? Will probably have the biggest laugh of my life if this happens.
-
he was simply the biggest problem of many problems. I'm not saying we're perfect, but today he could quite fairly be described as our "only" problem.
-
Our away record this season is pretty horrendous isn't it? Thank god Wigan is at home, I'd be shitting myself otherwise.
-
f***ing hell, what an opening paragraph. I have a theory that he's been replaced by an evil twin since the Portsmouth match. He was absolutely rock solid in his first few appearances.
-
Dyer was three times the player when he was fit. good luck with that though

The Brazilian Boumsong. Okay he's a former Brazilian international and Lyon captain, I understand Kinnear screwing up the selection once based on reputation. But if he ever, ever starts again, I'm going to go completely bonkers.
