  1. watching motd right now, Cacapa is even worse than I remembered. He is literally fucking up in some form on EVERY Fulham attack.

    Steven Taylor

Fell out with Keegan didn't he? Wanted to move back to the North West where his home and family was, i recall. You big fat WUM. I think there was talk about him being loyal to Big Sam and never really taking to Keegan. Not sure where i read it though. The people running the club aren't stupid (I know, despite some evidence to the contrary) so I don't think he would have been sold unless there were some serious personal issues.

    Duff vs Dyer

I agree that whatever contribution Dyer made to the club has to be balanced out with the damage he's done due to his row with SBR and the Bowyer brawl. Particularly the latter. That day is still such a bad memory, only time I've actually felt ashamed to be a Newcastle supporter.

    Steven Taylor

what's wrong with Taylor by the way, is he injured?
  5. we've shown that we're capable of playing well and winning despite our problems in the attack or midfield. nobody is capable of winning when Cacapa is giving away goals for free like that.
  6. there was most certainly a push on Cacapa beforehand that should have been called. I wasn't close enough to comment on the actual pen though, will have to watch MoTD. If it's yet another bad decision that's gone against us I'm going to explode.

    Duff vs Dyer

someday, somewhere, some doctor is going to make a fortune writing a medical journal that explains Kieron Dyer's body.
  8. Probably not, due to the stigma of being... well... Shola Ameobi. If Heskey gets an injury or something though, why the fuck not? Will probably have the biggest laugh of my life if this happens.
  9. he was simply the biggest problem of many problems. I'm not saying we're perfect, but today he could quite fairly be described as our "only" problem.
  10. Our away record this season is pretty horrendous isn't it? Thank god Wigan is at home, I'd be shitting myself otherwise.
  11. f***ing hell, what an opening paragraph. I have a theory that he's been replaced by an evil twin since the Portsmouth match. He was absolutely rock solid in his first few appearances.

    Duff vs Dyer

Dyer was three times the player when he was fit. good luck with that though
  13. The Brazilian Boumsong. Okay he's a former Brazilian international and Lyon captain, I understand Kinnear screwing up the selection once based on reputation. But if he ever, ever starts again, I'm going to go completely bonkers.

    Tactics killing us

we're not defending deep and we're not only playing long balls. I think there's a good mix of passing variety. If anything we tend to get into a bit of trouble when our fullbacks push up too hard. I agree that Kinnear has tactical issues, but it's not because of "long-ball." What's worried me is his horrible substitutions and his seeming inability to adapt our shape to the opponent's tactics.
  15. Well, at least I've seen us score now. :-[ Honestly not too unhappy with the performance. We easily deserved at least a point if not all three, and probably would have won it comfortably if not for a certain individual... I wasn't aware of this, when did we bring Boumsong back? Wait, that was Cacapa? Well, I have trouble distinguishing between the two because they're both big, black, bald, and f***ing s***. Seriously, that's twice now that he's single-handedly, and I mean literally single-handedly cost us a match. Hopefully Kinnear will learn from his mistake and never, ever play him again. Great atmosphere from our support throughout the match. Watching a Newcastle match from the away end was really everything I dreamed it would be. I've completely lost my voice from screaming throughout the match, and the way the away stand at Fulham literally bounces made it feel like we were bringing the whole thing down when we scored. Lads in the back who kept banging on the metal caging got a bit annoying though. We got kicked out of the away pub exactly around when I arrived though, so I wasn't able to get a drink wonder what all the bother was about. Overall, I'm not as gutted as I'd normally be because a. I've finally seen Newcastle score at a live game, and b. I think performance-wise we've shown that we've got enough quality to avoid relegation if we keep playing at 100%. It was nice having one week where we could imagine that we'd dug ourself out of the relegation fight and could make it up to top half, but the time for dreaming is over now. Time to get our s*** together and prepare for a long, hard season. (f*** me, we're already back in the bottom three )
  16. ok but if i get my head kicked in by a martial arts blackbelt who happened to be lost in south london i'm blaming you It would have to be one who also, by pure coincidence, happened to be wearing a Newcastle shirt
  17. If anyone notices a confused-looking Asian sitting/standing alone with a pint at the pub tomorrow, feel free to come over and say hi.

    Jonas Gutierrez

It's been mentioned among Korean fans for a while that Jonas is basically Jisung Park, only better. Has the same work rate, pace, passing with better strength/balance. I think Fergie would love him. Although you would think he might have something against Argentines...
  19. Few things in football better than experiencing us scoring at an away game IMO. Let's hope you get to feel it a couple of times tomorrow. Fingers crossed. This is probably a bad time to mention that I've also had the dubious pleasure of seeing our players booed off at halftime in every match I've attended as well.
  20. might not be a bad idea I've come too far to do that though, even for the common good!

    Nile Ranger

We shouldn't push him up too fast I think. Experiencing the highest level, even if it's only as a late cameo sub, too fast could just kill his confidence. Remember, Andy Carroll is a dominant striker at the reserve level. The first team is a huge step up.
  22. oldtype, I watched the game in a boozer on County Rd and I'm a bit smashed now. Our fans always travel in good numbers but we're not the loudest, home or away. Absolute daylight robbery to get 3 points, we didn't even deserve a draw. A mad 5 mins and a bit of class from Saha made me a very happy lad. Aye, you were so poor I was more surprised than anything. Looked like Newcastle with Blue shirts for most of the match. Credit where credit's due though, you were able to force a lot of half decent crosses into the box and ultimately one (or two) of them was bound to hit the mark. #3 was just gravy.
  23. I just want to see us score at a match I'm attending. For the first time. EVER.
