Sorry, but those are just stupid statements. We're talking about a player, having arrived less than a week ago, never played in that league. Why playing him straight away when Taylor is available, who's proven at that level. It's a completely different case with Debuchy, Sissoko and Gouffran, but I 100% agree with Pardew on that one. Definitely agree. It's common sense to give him a little extra time and we'll also probably see him come on tonight as Saylor may not be able to play 90 mins.

The first hurdle was cleared when the player turned up at Darsley Park on Thursday morning and photos were then released showing him training with the rest of the squad under the supervision of manager Alan Pardew. I just want to say that as well these reinforcements being great for potentially helping us out of a crap league position, it really shows the current players our ambition. This can't be overlooked really, as we've read about HBA wanting the club to show progression for example, and the guys we've bought in must seem like a breath of fresh air to them. Especially the frenchies for obvious reasons. I think if we hadn't had a positive window, you'd have seen a slow influx of negative stories relating to player unrest, heads being turned, things going downhill, etc, etc.....this is a signal of intent that never happened last summer. I'm chuffed and can't wait to see how it all unfolds, seeing we have a lot more options to choose from now.

Villa have Benteke though, he's pretty immense and can win any game for you. We just don't know what the fuck to expect from ourselves, especially with all this new talent hoyed in! Nailed on to be a 0-0 then.
