Messi's bid to unsettle Nolan by forcing Ashley to sack Hughton failed. Brilliant attempt though.
-
Thinking of that Youtube video of the Keegan years played to 'Bittersweet Symphony' again :-[ Such a time to be a supporter.
-
No kidding. Is it worth putting up with utter contempt from these royal pricks anymore? If we continue on this path, then the cycle shall be repeated ad nauseum. Ashley has shown his spots, and they will in no way change. How many more fucking iterations do we need to go through to finally be convinced of this?

It just occurred to me. So obvious that Messi is behind this whole fiasco, so desperate is he not to drink his own piss. -
Not sure he's worth £6m tbh maybe not. but he is worth a lot more to us, given who we have surrounding him.
-
shit, man. I was back to looking forward to matches again under Hughton. Now it feels like the turn of 08-09, where I dreaded waking up to waste a couple hours of my time. In all this madness, I am finding it difficult to care so much what happens tomorrow, because it will only make my day at work that much worse. That said, I am accepting an 0-3 defeat. If we win, and win well, my feelings toward this cloud of shit will not change one iota. Either way, I fucking lose on the morrow.

Zip because who will replace him ? If we get a player of similar ilk and then sell (never going to happen) then maybe 4-6m (fits tin hat) certainly not! his price tag in no way reflects his ability. It reflects his history. We will never find a player of his ability for the bargain basement prices Ashley is looking for. might as well keep him, because we are almost certainly not going to get better

What's your point caller? That have having your hands chopped off is better than your whole arms? that dying of prostate cancer is preferable to dying of lhassa fever.
-
Let Barton know that we clearly don't want him to leave. Not for the love of him. Make him feel incredibly wanted up here, in order to sabotage Ashley's plans. Will not likely work, but any wrench you can throw in...do it!

It seems to me that it is clearly his fault that he is our new manager. How this thing unfolded would have the Byzantine Empire taking notes, to say the least. Certainly nothing is ironclad, but as far as I am concerned, Pardew is a duplicitous piece of garbage who had no problem with playing a part in this night of long knives scenario. Backing him now is only giving more power to Ashley's sociopathic decisions. I give a shit about the club, and these fools, including Pardew, represent the wanton destruction of it. Loyalty is one thing, but unconditional loyalty can be as self-destructive as anything. -
tbf, I think it is clearly on the cards that he is going to be sold, and not only for his unpleasant history. Pardew is going to want to break up the fellowship of Hughton as quickly as possible. nufc.com were right when they described this as a watered-down 'Damned United'.

Absurd to get rid of our best player by far. I don't much like the guy, but I respect his traditional ability to pass the ball to a teammate, something all too lacking for the last several years.
-
It is amazing that Keegan was pilloried by a few for what happened. These crooks are redefining the term untenable, and taking it to unprecedented levels. I would not blame anyone for walking out on this regime. I would like my future grandkids have the chance to be tortured by this club. So whatever it takes, this man needs to be jettisoned out as soon as possible.
-
When you are the only one attempting to do this, that is the obvious problem, whether you think it is sound in theory or not. What manager worth his salt would sign up for this shit, when he could get a hefty signing bonus even at a place like Wigan? These pricks think they are revolutionizing the club structure in the game? This madness has ruled out any chance for us getting a good manager while that troll and his oil boy are in charge.
-
This doesn't change objective reality. The nature of what occurred, and how it occurred.
-
I hope you're right, Mick.
-
This is my fear. It won't affect him at all unless it is really coordinated and sustained. People will go back to feeling a bit disenfranchised, and say, "What can you do? It's still my club." Part of the power that anyone possesses is fueled by a collective belief in that power. Take that belief away, and the Emperor's tackle is swinging in contempt.
-
Well said.
-
I am still holding on to the hope that I have become so mentally divergent that I created this alternate reality in my head. It's really 2003 and we are about to finish 3rd. Rumor has it that a bid for Zidane will be all but accepted by Madrid and that he has agreed terms in principle. And we are NOT going to snap up Bowyer.

Let's support Newcastle United against this bunch of c***s rather than supporting the people trying to destroy it, eh? Negativity will only get us one thing and thats relegated. Awesome, if I'd known that the power of wishes could keep us up then I wou;dn't have been worried in the first place. Being complicit in this clusterfuck is what will get us relegated. Luckily the people who are being spineless are either sitting on their hands or staying away (or don't go in the first place), so the only voice that will be heard is the one that counts, the people who are absolutely fucking pig fucking sick of this shit and don't want Ashley's mate to have a nice cushy job without putting up with some horrific shit by way of revenge. Didn't you know? 'The Secret' actually works. Just wish for us to win the league hard enough...so if every supporter of every club at the same time just wished really hard to win, everyone would win the league, and everyone would be happy. It's that easy.
-
but sometimes the best way to support a club is to not support the regime. Dissent shows a love for the club that transcends the current owner. Tacitly accepting this is giving this asshole even more imperium than he deserves.
-
This is all playing out like a shit Guy Ritchie movie. In a few years time, any asshole who watches 'Goal: The Dream Begins' will have to look us up on Wikipedia.
-
And so it begins...the pharaoh drops a heavy brown load on us, and says that he is showering us with gold. Pretty soon the lot of us will be trying to buy a Volvo with a slightly petrified imperial turd. This is the time for "negativity". These assholes need to be held accountable for their actions, no matter what happens in the near future.

only a matter of time until Hitler gives his take on this.

Unbelievable. The hordes of Pakistani laborers working for slave wages to build these stadiums are being rounded up as we speak.
