Oh shit! I saw him play when I was 5. We had season tickets for Washington Diplomats games. He was playing for the New York Cosmos.

Jesus fucking Christ, man. You are just a relentless downer.

We couldn't win or lose for the first ten games of 22-23, apart from the opening game. We also drew Man City at home in that time. We got a last minute leveler against Wolves after looking pretty awful. We drew Bournemouth and Palace at home, and got an extremely lucky draw at Brighton. 8 points from 7 games. We scored 8 and conceded 6 as opposed to our 8:7 this season. We played Liverpool and Man City out of the big clubs. You could argue Tottenham and City this time round. It's just ridiculous that I could copy and paste some posts from then and they would fit right in.

FFS man with this 4chan bullshit. 7 games and one loss, despite being not up to par. If you had your way, you would use up all your subs by the 13th minute. Some of you were doing this same bullshit in 2022 with the first ten games. Just tired of some of you.

Just appears to be an all around lovely lad. Great ambassador for the game.

Clearly a performance art duo.

Cattermole did that backheel assist every game.

No. We don't. Is it a possibility? Of course. But is irritating how some of you speak with such confidence about a behind the scenes situation that you actually know very little about. Drives me crazy that I deal with it as part of my work situation just to see the usual suspects doing it here. No wonder that disinformation is running so rampant through civilization.

I hope you are being hyperbolic.

Just a wild guess. i could have picked Chad, but chose kindness.

Yeah it is about fit.

Really depressing to know how many absurdly talented but out of work football analysts and world class managers are on this forum.

One thing that appears to have drastically attenuated in this information at your fingertips age is patience.

In a fit of what I can only assume is madness, one or two actually suggested Mourinho last January.
-
His overall points total despite being given an absolute disaster of a team when he first came in strongly suggests that he has elevated to a different class.

If the doubts were just beginning, then fine. But they’ve been there for every less than perfect spell since he has been there. Despite that atrocious spell last year, he did turn it around in the end, yet people make it sound as if we limped tamely across the finish line.

One thing that I’ve noticed since Howe has been here is that we never have gotten off to a particularly strong start in the season. Good points haul to start this season, but it easily could be 4 points instead of 10. we had a similar debate last year after the first five games, except that the results were far worse (tougher start and all). in 2022, we didn’t lose but we really struggled to win in our first 10 games. We were fairly solid but not great except for a few games (man city home). A fair few complained regularly during that stretch. in 2021, 1 win in his first 10 tells the story (even though he came in pretty hamstrung). Wouldn’t it be fair to keep the knives sheathed until we hit the quarter mark? If we go on a solid run for the next 5 games (difficult), then we have a brilliant platform for the next 3 quarters.

Every 8 seconds according to the myth about goldfish.

All I can say is that a few on here appear to have suffered from severe recency bias for awhile. Treating all of last season as a monolith is wildly inaccurate. We had very low lows, suffered in away form until the last part of the season, but scored boatloads in others. Treating 10 abysmal games, and maybe 8 fairly disjointed ones as the whole of the season is just not a good indicator of last season at all, especially considering that we had a stretch where we just couldn’t lose, and then finished pretty well over the final quarter of the season.
-
We were not so disjointed for the last 10 games of last season. We were disjointed for 4 of the first 5, absolutely abysmal for about another 10 games after that long unbeaten run, somewhat disjointed for another few games, and then finished relatively strong performance and results wise.

It’s just as telling about some of the fan base though.
