  1. He switched sides with Downing at some point during the game, so some credit to Perch as well here.
  2. He was needlessly sent off. And that was his fault? Dresden is absolutely right, Shearer was inept and farcical. The tackle was his fault. It was very dangerous tbf. Gerrard or Lampard would have got away with that foul tbh. (without getting sent off) It was down to the fact that he's Barton.
  3. As long as they don't want Hughton. They can have Chris Howton, but hands off Hughton!
  4. As much as I would like to have Shearer as our manager (because I loved him as a player and because he's just a legend), he looked quite clueless in his 8 games here.
  5. Ok, it is quite a while since I've last tried my luck with Norwegian football: 10 € on Valerenga (dnb), Stomsgodset (dnb), Rosenborg (dnb), Odd Grenland (-1), Stabaek (dnb), Aalesund. Knowing my luck at the moment, all my dnb's will win and Aalesund will draw and/or Odd will draw/only win by one goal. Edit: Aalesund, somehow I knew it. Didn't want to pick them, but somehow still included them.
  6. As Leverkusen are 5-2 behind, I can forget about that bet. Have covered my losses well, though, with backing Bolton/draw after they were 2-0 behind with 10 men. Now I have 5 € on Man City/Liverpool double.
  7. Wtf, I had Bolton and Bolton/draw bets running today, lost any interest when it was 2-0. Went to play a game of FIFA, came back and it's 2-2.
  8. Aye, Hughton will need something against the headaches in the coming weeks. http://www.chemistmart.co.uk/images/Paracetamol%20Tablets.jpg
  9. I suppose keeping them all happy would be one thing This. The morale in the team is a big factor, no matter of how many quality players we'll sign.
  10. Honestly, no one in this team except Harper and Perch have in my opinion. But there is no doubt that Enrique is so much better with Jonas and HBA is a better player than Routledge if ou have seen him, then again HBA needs to adapt, but he'll never sit n the bench. I was just wanting to say - Hugthon should drop someone else than Routledge. We will see who's gonna be on the bench, but I'm very much sure that it won't be Routledge.
  11. Probably true, but Krul will only improve if he gets games. As I said many times, he'll do the odd mistake, but so will Harper. The difference is, Krul will make some world class save here and there and will improve, while Harper won't be able to get any better (the opposite thing will happen). And Krul will distribute the ball bloody quicker That's an advantage, too, even if it's only a little one.
  12. Routledge has done nothing, absolutely nothing to get dropped to the bench.
  13. Probably true, but Krul will only improve if he gets games. As I said many times, he'll do the odd mistake, but so will Harper. The difference is, Krul will make some world class save here and there and will improve, while Harper won't be able to get any better (the opposite thing will happen).
  14. Never would wish an injury to any player, but in that case, I somehow hoped Krul could get a chance.
  15. I'd sack him. Kinnear is healthy again I've heard.
  16. Just checked my long term bets; Very happy that I've placed 20 € on us (before the season did start) to finish top half of the table. Was a very optimistic bet that time, now it seems much more likely. Put 3 € on Carroll to become topscorer of the league now as well.
  17. That's Hughton's biggest test imo. To drop one of his favourites (it seems to be the case, at least) with Nolan. To drop Barton instead of Nolan would be just crazy.
  18. Just had a look at the squad list at .com and thought about that. Maybe it's why Tiote hasn't been given a number yet, because he's wating for Nr.8 to become available.
  19. Aye, another left back to cover enrique is essential. Yes. I actually forgot about a left back before. We all know that Jose will pick up an injury during the season once or twice.
  20. Don't know if we really need 2-3 new players tbh. We need them if somebody will be sold. But in case every player stays now, Keane would be enough imo. If we can afford it then why not..it would be madness not to if we can afford a couple of experienced prem lads on loan. As somone said in some thread here before - we shouldn't do too many changes this season. We have/had a good plattform and added now some quality players (Tiote, Ben Arfa, maybe Keane) to it. If we start doing major changes we will be there where we've been some years ago; having players who are here for a good career, but probably not fighting with everything they have. Its going to be a long season with some shitty results, the more the merrier for me...Also a few seasons back and our elegation season everyone was saying how short on players we were. We even thought we were short on players in ou promotion season. Adding two or 3 more wont upset the apple cart. Depends on what players we would add. If those are players who are certain to be in our starting XI I can see it being a problem. If those are some (loan) signings, with players who are more or less here to just add to the amount of players we have, than I think it's ok.
