  1. have the chronicle publicised the boycoutt and pub offers and so on in print editions?
  2. A bit worrying and what I thought would happen, glitz up the squad with a couple of spends and then leave the rest of the squad as is. No intention to improve the strength of the team as a whole. not worrying at all, for the best tbh lets see what a good old PFM can get out of atsu, aarons, colback, saviet, manquillo et al i know where my money is going
  3. can see about 40-45k vs. arsenal myself if they make a few noisy signings to get the knackers on side, i think it'll take a bad run to really get things going and fortunately looking at our fixtures that might not take long
  4. we're always active like, agree with him there, but we're active in the way i'm active that time i walked into a chanel shop to check the price of a ceramic watch for the mrs.
  5. speaks like a thick cunt speaking slowly and deliberately trying not to sound thick
  6. his soft spoken style is starting to fucking bother me already
  7. so, er, these not been sold then?
  8. this was the thing i read the other day, found it at last...got an injury in march https://www.bundesliga.com/en/bundesliga/news/joelinton-who-is-hoffenheim-striker-dubbed-the-new-roberto-firmino-3483-2614
  9. No one really knows IMO, his reputation has mostly been built on being British and a former Man U player. Obviously his main credentials for being suitable for the Newcastle job is that he is a Geordie. But his ‘record speaks for itself’ though doesn’t it? That’s what the media keep telling us and all these lads coming out the woodwork like Liam Ridgewell and Robertson from Liverpool. It’s almost like we’re being attempted to be convinced. I read the Robertson quotes about Bruce and they were just more generic platitudes about what a good bloke he was. I've yet to see any specifics about his football knowledge - but then he's been a manager for about 15 years now hasn't he? If no one really knows by now then maybe his main asset is that he's just a good bloke. A good British bloke. A Geordie. he's been managing for 20 years now! and that's what struck me about the robertson thing as well, wheel him out as proof that bruce is a good manager because he's a good player rather than as the absolute exception of everything in bruce's 20 year career to date
  10. same guy we had on the books, superb
  11. Won't be 53m if it's based on success then. This has to be an agent thing, has to be.
  12. must be some born to lose scumbags that would dive past in the night and spray ASHLEY OUT on the cunt for tabs
  13. He just isn't a great manager though, is he? He isn't even a good manager. Sick of people spouting shite left right and centre. fucking hell he's a pro football spouting platitudes for his employers under instructions, it's really not worth an analysis of the words he's used in that much detail
  14. aye agree with this, no player in history has ever come out and said the new guy is shite we don't want him so don't see what singling out lascelles does
  15. in fairness the filthy brickwork didn't look great
  16. Well, according to the 2017/18 accounts, WE ALREADY FUCKING HAVE!!! Along with Saivet and Lazaar, amongst others. No doubt when the 19/20 accounts get published in 30 months time, everyone will have forgotten, and their wages (which were written off in an extraordinary piece of accounting chicanery) will quietly be added back onto the wage bill, and who would ask by then, as we try to stay in League One? That's a fucking good point actually. Is there a link to this? was part of the £30m they wrote off for erroneous contracts or whatever they called them in those accounts, didn't specifically name players iirc but was basically paying up front (in the accounts) the wages of players the club no longer wanted under rafa
  17. can't sell something no one wants to buy, but you're right
  18. oddly i'm starting to get the sinking feeling that bruce might not take us down, if he gets *a few* signings like this
  19. they all get some wrong, even the greats, important thing is whether they can put out a functioning side to win regardless of that
  20. Just realised a Chinese there isn’t the same as a Chinese here. Fat fuck.
  21. i hope the fans groups push something passive aggressive against him next season, so rather than booing or attacking him when it goes to shit just sing the rafa benitez song at every single opportunity in every single game, more so when we're getting dicked 5-0 at home to west ham would be worse than attacking him directly imo
  22. cuts right to the heart of it there hahahaha
  23. i'd say that's about right as an average, there will no doubt be an exception or 2 that like bruce's methods on some level but overall i fully expect them all to get worse
  24. if bruce is going to have any hope of success, assuming hayden leaves, he's going to need an athletic type to get up and down the pitch and break things up or we're fucked colback and saivet it is then
