  1. he won't even find out about it
  2. interesting that people think it's carr and he never once backed carr's judgement first time round for first choice targets that have gone on to big things
  3. it's not the old fella, we appointed a head of recruitment during rafa's time called steve nickson (i think) who was at blackburn so it's presumably him that rates the guy so highly
  4. Judging from one YouTube video; Yep, pretty much. Again looks exactly like Zaha in style and end product. Would expect similar stats from him as well.
  5. they'll sign saint-maxim once they get his agent to upset things so much they accept a pittance and that'll be our front 3...probably a very good one tbf
  6. sell for £35m and insist on a couple of loanees from manyoo part of the deal, rake in some cash and boost the squad (for a while), everyone wins right
  7. did he not play it to match someone else's system at the start of the season then stick with it? he had used 5 at the back in some of his most defensive games against the likes of man citeh and others. was it not just adapted from that ? was the chelsea game i think, so not to match them but to negate them aye
  8. did he not play it to match someone else's system at the start of the season then stick with it?
  9. I like 5-3-2 it has potential. Would Almiron play just off Joelinton in that or advanced in a three? Hayden or similar plus Longstaff and they might stay up. would imagine we'll get the saint-maxim guy now as well with the agent link and lowball fee etc. would possibly be a very good front 3 tbh, if they upgraded LWB we'd have a canny first team potentially
  10. if bruce has an ounce of sense he watches vids from last season and tries to copy it, changing the 3 CB's would be fucking insanity
  11. this is getting dangerously close, they'll have to get charners to feel him up in the bogs to make sure we don't sign him
  12. like this one https://www.theguardian.com/football/ng-interactive/2019/jul/23/david-squires-on-new-football-kits-betting-and-banter
  13. don't know if this was mentioned in that 100 pages of arguments with Seymour[/member] but if i had a season ticket and couldn't face giving up for a season for whatever reason, i'd sure as fuck be using the arsenal boycott to send a message in support of rafa and everything he did for us the last 3 years bloke deserves that from the fans as an absolute minimum imo, cunts can't even stay away one bastard game 52K singing Rafa's name for the full 90 would be something else. But the focus has to be on getting people to quit. Maybe we can convince the seymours of the world. would hope the away end does that the entire season

  15. the ridiculous part of this, well one of many, is that no one in the media seen is asking the question: if they're getting rid of rafa because they're using nixon's scouting to ID players for a head coach to use, why haven't they had them all already signed?
  16. Talksport has some decent presenters. They've got a bunch of nuggets too but that's generally the pundits. Aye the presenters are fine but some of the pundits are so ill-informed its embarrassing for them. aye, so er ones not like that
  17. he came back for the draw at southampton then carried on playing and getting better as we won the next 3 games? it was a major turning point in the season, we'd not won before that point
  18. is there a good football radio talkshow at all?
  19. Maybe that's what it is?! He was so shit at the start, I then had a fixed opinion on him and I was overly-critical and never changed my stance when he came back in. chelsea & man city i think were the games, looked so badly off the pace it was terrifying didn't play again for nearly 2 months then was class until he fucked off to the asian cup
  20. remember ki's first couple of games at the start of the season? some of the worst shit i've ever seen tbf, diabolically bad was when he came in later on he was really good
  21. we're really not like doesn't necessarily mean that everything is shelvey's fault or whatever just that once ki came in things clicked for the team as a whole largely due to the way he played it out per loki's post...from that point on shelvey was done under rafa imo especially as we had 2 cb's that could play the hollywood balls shelvey was doing anyways we went from have 1 tactic/threat - shelvey direct to the strikers from deep - to still having that option but also being able to play through the middle and move the whole team up, bringing the full backs into play higher up the pitch etc. not sure what you were watching Not entirely sure how that’s Shelvey’s fault like. Seems more of a tactical fault to me. which is why i said that exact thing the sentence before? it's not his fault but equally he's not capable of playing the ball and moving intelligently like ki does under pressure in the middle which is why he reverts to the long pass so often....the way we played literally changed overnight when ki came in, sorry it just did
