  1. captains kill me, i'm 30 points or behind our leader but it's purely cause he's landed captains and mine have been poor to shite - always seem able to pick a solid 11 that score well but miss the massive numbers salah and lukaku will no doubt fuck me this week while ron/bruno star in carry on up the goals
  2. Stephens/Livarmento 33/1 Fabinho/Zaha 45/1 Gallagher/Milner 40/1 Man city +2 goals, Sou +2 cards, City win 5/1
  3. Yeah think that's gonna their thing this season, stellar game then 3/4/5 of nothing. Madness how often you get boned with this at FF mind. Stick with a player for weeks and get nothing, the moment you move them they're fucking Messi. Expecting Ings, Conor Gallagher & Billy Gilmour to turn in world beaters. And probably Coufal as I benched him
  4. Took Mbeumo out yesterday, Toney last week. More good work
  5. He has the physical attributes to play in the PL, his pace is decent for his size, he's tactically disciplined and imo grafts for the team. He's not top class at any of these things but he's good enough at the them all to make him a decent all round player.
  6. You appear to be in the minority these days imo. If you're able to put aside the fee and the fact he's not a striker you'd see he's doing fairly well overall in that left side role, albeit without the production. He's also improved on his physicality this season in particular imo, getting really stuck in much more and using his size. I don't get the lower level comment, wouldn't that be because they were playing at a lower level?
  7. I concur, thought he should have got a hand to it. Clearly wasn't expecting him to shoot given how wide he'd gone.
  8. From posting in the other thread I was literally just thinking about lumping on ASM when we play Palace
  9. Oh yeah could be right nees, totally. He's not shy of graft, could see someone like Klopp taking a punt myself given their financial constraints.
  10. still only 24 as well, as said under a proper coach and fitness regime he could be special
  11. That's what he is, a bog standard PL level AM playing under a shite manager since the moment he arrived.
  12. spaffed 16 poins on a semi rebuild this week got 15 from the leeds game so still behind
  13. Anyone think he's fit/disciplined enough to play in a Klopp front 3? Seems to run out of steam with us at times but then he's often taking on entire teams single-handed so not surprising. Liverpool will be looking to refresh Mane/Salah in the next few years apparently...
  14. No, no, only 3 people in the world are allowed to have an opinion
  15. What did you reasonably expect him to say or do like? Also that Cafu quote is the worst thing I've heard in my entire life.
  16. Yeah it was annoying like but no one is ever going to call out a (British) manager on national TV in this country I guess, can't think of a time it's ever happened. They'll skirt around the edges of assigning responsibility but never actually go as far as blaming them.
  17. Thought the post match with Nev/Carr was really weird after everything that went before - they basically outlined a lot of the problems we have very well in that there's no structure, organisation or plan to the way we play but they simply could not bring themselves to link Bruce to that in any meaningful way. They're stood there correctly saying what's wrong (they don't look like they know what they're doing or words to that effect) and I think KD asked if that was down to coaching then Neville stutters and changes the subject ASAP. Just dismal.
  18. I find that very interesting having skimmed it as they talk a lot about the high press but don't really use any stats to back it up. It's also funny as a manyoo fan I work with (not a dummy) was very happy with Varane because he hoped it would allow them to push up higher whereas he felt (as I did/do watching them) that they sit too deep and don't press high enough up the pitch. You seem to see something different. I suppose the definition of "high" would be important in this discussion. Anyway we shouldn't derail this further but I'll keep that in mind when I watch their next few games
  19. This isn't just about the manager though, it's about the ownership as well as the manager. I want us to lose because Bruce is fucking godawful and I want Ashley to lose everything by getting repeatedly relegated until he has to sell the club because it's the only way it'll happen. Comparing to the past (pre-internet) isn't useful imo; back then people had very few avenues down which to vent and certainly very little thought that their opinion might be able to influence things because their opinion was just that. Rightly or wrongly the internet has changed that.
  20. Ahhh Not as dramatic as I'd hoped sadly.
