  1. Surely all you have to do is simplify the existing design and make it single colour like they do on the away shirts. Simplify the banner, shield and seahorses and probably remove the flag and you're golden. Doesn't need a complete overhaul to follow the current modern theme.
  2. Oh yeah, anyone not taking all of that lot you listed is mental
  3. Hm, perhaps you're making my point for me. I'm not following this as closely as some, you presumably, but look at your own post a few up: Do the rules say they have to disqualify them in these specific circumstances? That's how laws and rules work, if it's not black & white then you argue interpretation. We simply don't know what went back and forth between the lawyers so it could be that he's right, it could also be that he's wrong. I don't know and neither do you because you haven't seen the details of what was requested or provided.
  4. why are you bringing us into it? better comparison would be would they walk into the teams above or around them - so leeds, arsenal, spurs, west ham? I'd probably argue the ones in bold would yeah
  5. I mean it's law/rules right, so he's arguing over an interpretation of that just as the twitter legal team are arguing the opposite That's what everything will come down to in the end, did they reasonably apply the rules and as none of us know the details of what took place in terms of direct correspondence and requests/provisions it's all pointless speculation as what both sides are saying could be correct depending on the details
  6. Real shame for them, hope they're still fuelled by the paedo & fascist love-ins for it all to have been worth it.
  7. If that fucking idiot is in, I'm probably out Amazed to see this is all still going on in here, been out of it for ages. I'd tend to side with the idea we're fucked like but hold onto the hope that if Ashley is burning money on legal teams to fight this then presumably he's been told they've a decent chance of winning. Granted he got £17m for fuck all but still, not like him to chuck money away.
  8. There was a brief moment, I think start of 2nd half where they lost the ball deep in Chelsea territory against the low block and they counter-pressed right away and won it back while Chelsea were trying to break and I thought Pep had worked it out but then they just never did that. That was the way to beat them imo, a leaf out of Klopps book - if they play that well you can't break through you have to win it back when they're out of position to open things up for yourself, but for whatever reason they never managed it.
  9. Last night had nothing to do with a backup plan, imo, it went back to him changing the system they'd been so successful with the entire season for no apparent reason. I said it to my mates as soon as I saw the lineup; no Rodri they might be fucked here. From about 10 minutes in it was clear Chelsea were gonna use Werner to stretch them out and both him and Havertz to occupy the space where Rodri would have been. Sterling been sidelined for ages, aye lets bring him back in for no reason whatsoever and disrupt what's been a fluid and prolific attack Cancelo one of the most creative fullbacks in the league on either side, probably best leave him on the bench for no good fucking reason. Pep will obviously have forgotten more than I'll ever know but he's got previous for this.
  10. stopped at "while Conte was revolutionising the PL" fucking worthless
  11. Quite incredible how Pep fucking Pepped himself again He's totally inside his own head now with the CL, can't make the right calls when it counts, even worse actively makes the wrong calls time after time. Take nothing away from Chelsea they were superb but that's all on Pep that imo.
  12. Funny timing. I've watched the last few CL and waffa ties in recent weeks and honestly sat there thinking if there's a finer thing in sport than a two leg tie with the away goals rule, and they're getting rid of it now
  13. imagine having free reign in a domestic league for a decade and leaving yourself fucked like that at the end of it
  14. I agree, I just don't see it myself either.
  15. I don't think there's any contradiction here with what Froggy is saying like, and while the above is true has to be balanced with the knowledge he's having to utilise a fair degree of shite that's simply not good enough so 2nd has to be seen as progress and an achievement under those circumstances imo.
  16. Don't forget his disgusting political activism distracting him from his real job Froggy
  17. Never said otherwise. VdB always seemed a strange choice to me when you had Fernandes as when he was at his Ajax best he was playing in the same sort of areas that Fernandes occupies and getting on the end of stuff to score goals. Makes it a bit more odd he didn't try to rotate him in for Fernandes a little bit more against weaker sides. I think you're right, go bif this summer for a CB & CM making sure you get quality, then a CF next summer and I think you should be challenging at that point tbh.
  18. Nostaljaer has proved me wrong to a degree I'll admit but I don't think you can use Bruno and Maguire as being flogged to death as your own "issues" when he's the one that did the flogging Fernandes needed a rest months ago and he just kept playing him, to very little effect in reality so he'd have been better resting the lad and seeing if he could recapture his earlier form. Imo you judge him when he gets a proper midfield, at the moment it's the long running excuse for the way they set up and play but if you're going to take the next step you'll need to control games better rather than countering as much as you do but you'll never do that with Fred, Matic, Pobga & McTominay (though I like him) as your options behind Fernandes. I'd go out and try to swap Pog for Verratti at PSG and a bag of cash, would transform your midfield and get rid of a waste of a shirt.
  19. That would actually be a very good move for both parties imo
  20. Tempted to agree, I'm not convinced he's got what it takes to progress them where they want to go but until they get a competent and competitive central midfield and help for Maguire it's hard to judge. Rest of the squad is decent but that's two big areas where they're short.
  21. I'd imagine where Rashford is concerned you'll have a fair degree of diehard bozza j fans that vehemently opposed to children being fed
  22. I'd take Benteke above the lot myself. Bin Carroll.
