  1. At a real club you'd t think the end of December would be the cut off for him to start showing something, but we're not a real club.
  2. Cathro is still in his 20's isn't he? That'd be a ludicrous move at this stage, worse than JFK objectively speaking. I'd take it mind
  3. Was it Saturday when in the first few minutes he tried to play an incredibly inventive flick in the box from one of our usual s*** crosses? Was really unlucky it didn't come off. He's very skilful and aware imo but he's just not seeing the ball enough in the right places because the rest of the team doesn't function. He'll score goals. He does display some really deft touches and when he gets a run on a header he's good but some of his movement is quite poor and he's definitely a bit slow in his thinking. After all, he will be adapting to this league still and that's to be expected (which is why we shouldn't be relying on him as much as we are).

  5. Little Mike getting big ideas huh?
  6. I'd go with that. Worked well at Norwich. Been utter shit ever since and it seems like we won't go away from it, despite how bad it looks. 8/10. I am really worried now. The only thing that gives me hope and stops it being 10/10. Is the fact that Villa look dead and buried and sunderland are awful. They will probably go, even though we'll gift them 6 points again. So we're in a battle, with some very average teams, for the third and final spot. I think we'll probably scrape by and finish 16th or so. What an exciting thing to look forward to every season. I think we'll spend a bit in Jan. Just like in 2013 when it looked like we were going down. Garde has had one game at Villa aye? I wouldn't count them out just yet seeing as he's supposed to be able to put together a defensive unit.
  7. Think of his header off the bar at Old trafford, his close header that raised the crowd V Chelsea, think how much we've gave him a chance. Instead we drop Anita to right back when we have the ball so Janmaat can play right wing seemingly in order to allow sissoko to come inside and keep him happy and leave us actually a man short in the middle. Seems like no matter who the manager is he's trying to keep certain players happy. said after the norwich game when they ripped us up (before wijnaldum went apeshit) with quality crosses that if mitrovic gets that service he'll score a bagful, fact is he's not getting that service don't think i can remember him ever getting a clear header at goal created for him in a good position that he's missed, always seems to be scrapping for half-chances Goalscorers always kind of find a way to get themselves into situations where they can score and it doesn't look like Mitrovic is much of a goalscorer so far. Cisse for example even though he is rightly not starting usually somehow gets in a position where he has a good chance of scoring although he often misses. Mitrovic is a good footballer like and is still very young so he can improve. The service is also a big problem though obviously I'd like to judge him once he's getting regular service. It's really hard to be too harsh on him when he's getting one chance a game at best. Alan Shearer in his prime would be wondering where the next goal is coming from in this side as it's that bad at getting the ball to it's strikers in front of goal. Exactly. If he was missing chances then fair enough but he's not being given any to miss.

  9. we'll be keeping our powder dry to try and pick over the bones of these clubs no doubt if their sponsorship cash gets pulled i joked about it a while back actually http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/nov/22/volkswagen-ending-bundesliga-club-sponsorship
  10. That's exactly what it is. The "can't compete, won't compete" mantra has been drummed into the fanbase from the very top. Owner, CEO, manager, coaches and players hammer the message so much that it's become an accepted fact. As unpalatable as it is to some on here, the people who still continue to pump millions into the club via tickets and/or merchandise are part of the larger problem. Willing to be treated like shit, patronised and taken for granted because they continue to come back every week, paying through the nose for the privilege too. Ashley's under no pressure whatsoever, he's taking the piss and getting away with it. the damage pardew did through the media in his 4 years should never be underestimated, every single fucking press conference or interview was a dampening of expectations i utterly detest the cunt
  11. an aversion to buying anyone of adequate size and strength really
  12. Liverpool could be absolutely brutal like, it might be the start of people turning on him, which might accelerate his departure if he's getting shit on the terraces.
  13. The combination of his unwillingness to be involved with the club day to day and his unwillingness to pay the going rate for people who have track records in developing players and systems, of actually winning things at football etc. is something that will forever haunt me I think.
  14. If that does happen I suspect it'll be too late for us.
  15. We had a tough few opening fixtures so that wlas a legit excuse for the first few games. I think the excuses have run out after the last two games. Bournemouth and fucking Leicester. Well, Leicester proves the point, they're at the top of the fucking league man. West Ham is another one as well. Not making excuses mind, just pointing it out. The list of teams who we now have to be afraid is growing every season. Last season it was Swansea and Southampton. This season you can add Leicester, Palace and West Ham. I'm just saying the number of teams we can go in against with any hope of a win is dwindling fast. Not following you exactly, I was trying to point out that we've faced a few teams at times when their form has been particularly good as teams that we should be expecting to get results. Just a timing thing that's added to the overall shitfest. Yeah you are right, I'm making an additional point really. Yes we are playing teams at the wrong time, but at the same time there's less and less teams who we can go up against expecting a win. Other teams are improving, we aren't. Ah absolutely
  16. He's not getting sacked like, he's just not. Pardew style everyone is blaming the poor quality of the squad and roundly ignoring the fact he's getting sweet fuck all out of the players he does have, which happens to be his job. He'll be given money and unless the players that come in are very good and hit the ground running we'll be down.

  18. We have an owner who doesn't give two fucks about the club and is using it purely to advertise his shops at the lowest cost he can. We have fans who appear to be able to rationalise any cynical act he performs and keep turning up, which in turn makes his successful performance of the first aspect much easier. There is only one way we get change or this is it, until the pick prick does us a favour and dies. So while I applaud Foluwashola continually standing up for the common fan it's ludicrous not to acknowledge that by then continuing to attend in such numbers they are participating in prolonging the situation.

  20. Would say one thing about the season so far mind, we've played a fair number of teams at precisely the wrong time when they've been in form that they're not likely to maintain for the season, such as Leicester and Swansea.
  21. He'll sack Charnley first. Yeah - he's a ruthless bastard when he has to. back to secretary, avoid the payoff
  22. Fortunately buying top quality players in the positions, depth and ability is one of our main strengths as a club
