Coloccini played well today. You're still a s*** poster, mind. I've been a Colo supporter in the past but I thought he was pretty poor in the first half today, and excellent in the second. The way Josh King waltzed past him in the first half was pathetic. Same, awful in the first half like everyone else.

Probably what's left after fat Sam, his back room staff, and all the big name players he paid for when they were in heir 40's. Still paying Nat Lofthouse tbf

Ron not required. No is the answer.

Neither here not there that. You'd swap mcclaren for the best young English manager around? Well I'm staggered. We must have the only managerial headhunter in the game who doesn't watch football then. Eh? Give over man. Howe would want his head testing coming anywhere near us, and they know it. well, aye, but the opportunity to manage literally one of the biggest clubs in europe might appeal eh? he wouldn't be the first plus we must pay better than bournemouth Have you been in a coma? As a club we're spent, thanks to Ashley. financially we're still top 20 and i'm sure stature-wise have a big pull But ignoring some arbitrary list about money, the fact is that we don't pay big wages, actively avoid progression in cup competitions, rarely qualify for European qualifications and battle towards the bottom of the table more regularly than we do the top.. or even the middle. I get what you're saying, yeah Newcastle may still have some pulling power because of the name, the history etc., but to say we're 'literally one of the biggest clubs in Europe' is so far off the mark. It pains me to say it, but we're a shadow of what we were. Even our stadium is an eyesore now-a-days. wasn't the point about eddie f***ing howe? i thought it was, not jurgen klopp....if it was klopp then ok but i thought it was howe I didn't mention Klopp once. Infact I didn't mention Howe once, I just pointed out that your statement of us being one of the biggest clubs in Europe was bollocks. Apologies if you failed to follow this. In terms of Howe, he's been with Bournemouth for two different spells and taken them from League 2 to the Premiership. If he was to leave the club I doubt it'd be for a team that doesn't show ambition, infact he'd probably see Newcastle as a sideways step given how restricted he'd be by the clueless f***ers in charge. And even if he was interested to the point of having sit-down talks with the club, 5 minutes in a room with Dizzy the Egg will be enough to have him on the first train back to the south coast. I just mentioned Klopp as the opposite of Howe. Whatever you may think we're still a big draw, that was the point. If you were offered the chance to leave say Brighton and manage us would you do it? Of course you would. Fair enough. There is definitely a difference in being the manager of a team that has been in the championship for a number of years and being the manager of a team that you have taken from the very bottom of the football league to the main stage of English football. Hand on heart I would probably want to stick it out with the club that I've essentially built from the bottom. At least for a little while. aye, but imagine being the next Keegan - that's the draw obviously these days that draw is tempered by the fact that your best chance of success will be to sell some socks in SD

unless it was a different goal it wasn't him

funny, i remember comparing the two in my mind at the time and the difference for me - other than the shit ref - was that mbemba had both of his hands in the air so the weight of his challenge wasn't in the shoulder it was in the torso or whatever whereas colo had his hands down and looked like he barged him out of the way

As w*** as Cisse is, he's more of an outball than Perez is like. why do we need an outball? no one who plays against us needs one When you're playing deep and trying to defend a lead (not that I'm condoning this as a way of playing), it goes without saying that you need some sort of focal point up top. As much as I like Perez, he's too small and not strong enough in the air to lead the line by himself. Mitrovic is the ideal choice but Cisse, shit as he is, is more suited to the role than Perez. FWIW almost all teams in the league have a striker for this purpose - Pelle/Southampton, Gomis/Swansea, Costa/Chelsea, Giroud/Arsenal, Benteke/Liverpool. is this a joke? he fucking took mitrovic off
-
agree, he's a card waiting to happen but he can compete physically colback gets better with every game he doesn't play though - so anita/tiote for me
-
can't argue with the fat cunt today tbh, but i'd imagine he'll throw the ball in his own net next game to make up for it
-
i'm a massive critic and he was shit today but he's been one of our more dangerous players in the last few games so everyone is due a poor game i suppose - problem we have is always having a cowardly manager who'll never drop him when he needs it

this is correct Absolutely. Lad did well today when he came on. until the last 1-2 minutes mind when he tried some daft stuff in daft areas, that's my only issue with him atm...it's not working for him right now but when he keeps it simple he's good enough to be in the side, hopefully the clever shit clicks later on
-
hai! remember me? no, nobody who watched the game today knew you were there moussa
-
diabolical taking him off today like, such a fucking shit call
