  1. My Dowie was not for you, rather the lack people understanding what you meant.
  2. Why would you want a CB with tackling as a weakness?
  3. Well, this lessens the chance of Willo getting in the team so it's good from that respect I guess. Would have looked to see Dummet with Mbemba myself.
  4. Why is stuff like this always suggested? I don't get it. It's something that would only work on FIFA but in real life if always, always an absolute disaster. Fucking hell man. I honestly thought the lad had played DM before as well as CB and fullback.
  5. He getting a game I wonder? Also noticed the other day Abeid had only played 4 times but not sure if injured.
  6. exactly man, i've asked for some examples of teams coming back from a similar situation in a derby (any derby) and not heard any yet, i'd doubt there were many especially away from home it just doesn't happen, yet accordingly to some we definitely should not have lost despite being absolute shite for most of the season i just don't see the point in whining and fucking moaning about ashley and recruitment when we entered the game beforehand knowing how shite that all was, the game turned on the decision and that's that...we still went at them to win and conceded a shite second after missing a good chance to equalise but that opinion is "weak" or whatever ron et al have dreamed up Why should it being a derby make any difference? Not every team that goes 1-0 down and a man down ends up being thrashed, especially when playing such an awful side. It happened at the weekend in Italy actually. Sassuolo conceded a penalty and lost a man against AC Milan in the first half. They then equalised midway through the second half before going on to lose 2-1 right at the end. This attitude of "the red card was game over" is pathetic given the state of the opposition. Why should derbies, that are always considered 'different' games, be considered different games? They're not different though. If we're treating it as such then we're at a handicap before kick off. Which we didn't, and we dominated the game. The sending off galvanised them into believing they could get a result and then the derby side of things became important - to them. As I said earlier we denied them and the crowd any hope or attempt to get into the game, the sending off changed that even though they didn't immediately play better as a result. A sending off and penalty at Leicester away would not evoke the same reaction from the opposition as it does in a derby, this should surely be obvious.
  7. Could Mbabu maybe play in there at a push?
  8. I suppose, but I was referring more to the cheap, or free Englishman aspect a la Colback. He's nowhere near good enough.
  9. I would definitely take someone along those lines. All we need is someone with heart and experience who doesn't make too many mistakes and can head a ball. Shouldn't be beyond Carr's talents to find. notsureifserious.jpg

This attitude of "the red card was game over" is pathetic given the state of the opposition. Why should derbies, that are always considered 'different' games, be considered different games? I'd agree with what's being said if we shat ourselves and got battered to lose 3-0 but that simply didn't happen, we kept having a go and conceded a shite second and the rest is history. Keep hearing about "thrashings" or whatever but this wasn't a thrashing, everyone who watched the game knows it wasn't and repeating it doesn't make it so. It was a poor result on paper that didn't reflect the match at all. It happens. But I accept we've got recent poor history in the fixture and some people don't seem able to divorce the two, which is what I am able to do to some extent. Losing 3-0 is not acceptable and no-one has said it is but there is much more to it than us supposedly being thrashed and the refs two calls are a massive part of that, whether you like it or not.
  11. So then why did we dominate possession after that and do absolutely nothing with it? The excuses and examples can't have it both way. You can't say the game was over because of the red card and then say that we dominated possession despite being down to 10 men. If anything it shows you just how terrible Sunderland are. we made a great chance to equalise and it was missed then they got a scrappy, badly defended second and that was that some people are acting like this was another pardew/carver showing and it simply wasn't

  13. exactly and the one decision instantly made the following things happen put us a goal down put us down to 10 men gave them back the hope and belief that we'd spent the entire half sapping away brought their fans back into it same as above probably shook our own confidence a bit people are acting like we should have just shrugged it off but it's literally not as simple as that for many reasons we absolutely must beat stoke now mind
  14. This, considering how much of a shambles we are at the back we need to be even better than this as a minimum. Our priority should be defensively and not going forward because based on this season we'll have to score at least 3 goals to be within a chance of winning a game which is ridiculous. but you have to know that if we shut up shop we don't have the capabilities to win games on the break due to our shocking midfield and we'll just be dominated, much in the same way we dominated the mackems first half actually because they couldn't get out either
  15. Replaced with better ones off the bench. Exactly, it's like theoretically saying Colback was forced off and we brought on a better player to replace him If we had a better player that is.
  16. We didn't just not come back though, we got fucking thrashed. Again. There's no answer to that, you and everyone else knows it was a different type of performance to the five defeats before it. We tried to win the game with ten men and got beat, it happens, let's not forget he was ripped to shreds for closing the Swansea game out with ten men.
  17. People going on like two opinions are mutually exclusive. Believing Ashley is (correctly) the root of our problems does not render the opinion that a game we were dominating was both turned on its head and instantly weighted in their favour invalid. All this 'never seen a game of football before' shit. How many times have teams come back from one nil down and a sending off in a local fucking derby like ours? Howay man.
  18. Handed the captaincy and a new contact, get the idea out of your head, he starts when he's fit. McClaren won't be that brave.
  19. Yeah show it to them how much of a attention seeking dick he is. Talks so much fucking shit its unreal hai guyz, we know most of you are total cunts but just in case you want to see how to take it to the next level here's the latest video from true geordie
  20. the funny thing was he was about to challenge a big lad like fletcher on the run, the ideal thing would have been from him to physically ease him out of the situation and/or put him off enough with his presence so fuck up fletchers chance had he tried that and fletcher scored everyone would have crucified him for being weak and physically not up to the league fletcher went down very easily for a player his size, is kind of what i'm trying to say
