  1. Really shouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility to sign a midfielder who can run, tackle and pass well like
  2. gosling is nailed on to run rings round us and score like, might as well get used to the idea now
  3. yep, the two headers i most remember from his apart from when he's scored was the long range one at old trafford and the one at the weekend that hit the post they're half chances....i think back to the norwich game and the quality of cross from wide they were putting in, if mitro was attacking them every week he'd be in double figures by now
  4. But what does make sense to you is believing that Sunderland losing heavily to Everton in a completely different game of football somehow bears relevance to another entirely different game of football that took place a week earlier? You try to pull the village bike, she turns you down. Do you see the relevance? Well, using a similar analogy for the one that KI doesn't think makes sense is the equivalent of being halfway through a successful attempt at pulling then the bouncers coming and throwing you out of the club for absolutely no reason. Granted we could have persevered, maybe climbed back in through the bog windows and got back in the game, but they intentionally broke our ribs throwing us down the stairs on the way out so we couldn't make the climb. I like it but mojo, every single Saturday night you're chucked out for "absolutely no reason", sooner or later you should start asking questions. Maybe it's your attire, maybe it's your attitude, maybe it's just your face - not my business. Maybe if you just pull before the bouncer has a chance to start things would go nicely I wonder how much further we can stretch this analogy I don't like where this is going, time to get off

  7. Should be pushing all of then out who are in that situation, though they're going to be moving for less wages obviously so it'll be harder than it should be. Image if we could get Willo, Obertan, Marv etc. off the books, Christ.
  8. Yeah, don't fancy this at all. Has the hallmarks of a classic away defeat to shit opposition.
  9. This isn't really true. The clubs that win stuff spend the most money on transfers and wages. Look at City, Barcelona, Chelsea - they sign a lot of flops. The issue with Thauvin is that he isn't even highly rated. He seemed to have a great breakout season and nothing since. I don't see significant quality with the lad. Add to the fact he doesn't seem physically up to it too. We needed strengthening in other areas it just looks shit. We needed a CM. I'm assuming Wijnaldum was bought for that purpose - he's at LM. We neeeded a genuine wide player but it seems Thauvin is more of a #10, but I'm assuming we bought him to play wide. I just struggle to see what the intended line-up for this season was meant to be. All over the place this post, and we know it all anyway. Winning clubs spend more obviously but they get a better proportion of signings right on the whole imo. As regards the rest of your post none of it, while true, proves any of it is down to Carr. Could have been Little Mike and his balance sheet making the calls, probably was.
  10. Makes me laugh this Carr criticism. Pretty sure if you analyse most clubs transfers they get as much wrong as they get right overall, the ones who buck this tends trend are the ones who win stuff. It's not Carr's fault how parsimonious the club are, I have no problem with him. I'd much rather him picking the signings than another Pardew, or worse Carver. No idea about McClaren's record on transfers but I'd wager a guess it's not amazing.
  11. Sorting Toney's strike partner for the promotion push
  12. Plus McClaren would look like an absolute fucking buffoon dropping Colo after waxing lyrical about him when the contract extension was handed out. 4 months later I just don't see him holding his hands up saying aye we fucked up there, he's finished. That's to say nothing of Little Mike who must be on the gangplank atm. McClaren must be preying for him to get a season ending injury the game before 1st January.
  13. You're not allowed to suggest playing any of our CH's at DM around here dude, Colo was shit at it once so it means they all are apparently.
  14. I don't think they're even considering a CH like. It's Colo and Mbemba all the way. The CM, if we sign one, had better be fucking good or we are deep in shit. Good enough to carry Colback as well mind as that's who he'll be playing with
  15. That money has already gone on Colo's contract extension
  16. Class, so we've got to sell in order to sign the players we need to stay up that we should have signed in the summer
  17. I do wonder what another manager would be getting out of this group tbh. A Klopp or other top class coach maybe but I've honestly been shocked at just how awful and unsuitable our midfield and defence are now. I mean we all knew they were bad but they seem to have intensified their level of shitness somehow.
  18. January is going to have to be spectacular.
  19. Yeah, you don't go left to right top row then start again left to right bottom row, just go left to right therefore number 10 is the best looking. Fucks sake.
