In your opinion obviously. imo I think we will. Think Jabba will act if we look like getting cast adrift. He won't risk the wonga on offer at the end of the season. They won't sack him, not a chance, they'll spend in January to try and buy their way out of it. Imperative we get 10-12 points between now and the start of January to give us a chance of getting out, not impossible imo. Only thing a new manager could do at this point iyam would be to shut up shop completely and try to 0-0 and 1-0 us to January but I'm highly doubtful anyone is good enough to succeed at that with the shit in our midfield and defence.

I'm inclined to agree, but as I've said today we'll need at least 3 top quality players in January or we will go down. Can't see the squad having enough as it is. What if Mitrovic gets injured foot example? The whole plan is then fucked and it's Riviere or Cisse.

Wonder what Ashley would think of it all. Goaded into a live TV interview for the first time making promises he backs up with the continued appointment of Lee Charnley and his litany of failure. He's going to look like an absolute fucking fool and I can not see the man taking kindly to that.

He'd probably have had Cattermole sent off had he played in there tbh.

Seeing those things from mackems on social media that I didn't even know existed, plus the fact he's a heavy user of social media and the mackems have got behind him for his possible fiddling, I'm starting to wonder about it now.

He was given time and space today and still did nothing. They backed off him and he still just played the percentages, passing it sideways and backwards, not really getting involved too much and his touches were in areas where Sunderland knew he couldn't do too much damage. He did get kicked out of the game and that's not his fault. Any injury he's picked up was inflicted by that c*** Cattermole. True - he wasn't great with the ball, but he got himself into the box a few times. I suppose I just didn't find watching him today as painful as I usually do. Still just plain average. What was his role yesterday? Auxillary right back at times? But he often had licence to really break forward and that's where he was poor for me. In the first half we looked a talented with the ball CM away from being a really slick team imo. On the ball Tiote was the Tiote of old. 2 touches passing it simple and forward when he could. Sissoko opened his legs a few teams and looked a threat. Wijnaldum came in field and caused some trouble. I think he looked most likely to score, got himself in a few positions to let off a shot. In the first half, Ayoze was linking up really well - controlling the ball in tight spaces and helping us build attacks in the final third. But Colback? I don't think he added any value other than a bit of tactical discipline. Agree with a lot of this but found Perez's positioning a little baffling in that first half as he was playing very high, seemingly on the shoulder of their CB a lot of the time. Therefore the massive, horrible gap between our shit deep midfield and front four was there again. If Perez had played deeper like he did against Norwich I think we'd have cut them to shreds. Can only think McClaren expected he would get in behind from Mitros knockdowns. Not the best idea imo.

If Ashley has to shitcan McClaren and spend 50m on replacements then Charnley won't survive imo. -
Yep. Tactics Tim is available now Pardew to Carver to McLaren to Sherwood. Fuck my life. One thing is for sure if McClaren did go it would likely be another Englishman off the merry go round of shit for us. Mind you, I couldn't see Charnley surviving this time though so perhaps not. Need a clear out from top to bottom. Carr, Charnley, McLaren, everyone. Fat chance the fat one will go too but never mind. Judge me after 10 games Weighed and measured.

Sorry like but I'd have McClaren over Allardyce any day of the week. Same. He's not very good but he's capable. I suspect the utter shitness of the playing staff has come as a massive shock to him and what he agreed in terms of recruitment in the summer he'll now know was woefully inadequate. If we end the transfer window still playing Collocini, Colback, Anita, Tiote, Elliot and the current crop of LB's then he and everyone at the club deserve what comes next. -

I think he just needs to get the basics sorted first. Like using his body to shield the ball when he's under pressure - he could learn a lot from Wijnaldum in this regard. Also not making passes which are too easily cut out by the opposition. He looks shell shocked at the moment. Yeah this. There's something in his lack of fear to try stuff with the ball that I like but he needs to get basic stuff right first. We could help by giving him game time when we're not up shit creek mind, assuming that comes along again. We could maybe pencil him in for the end of February. Got nothing before that though.

Funny thing is they've just broke the record for consecutive derby wins so in the real world you'd expect that to reflect some kind of improvement on their behalf buy they're worse than ever Fucking Pardew

But are we (a) capable of buying the players we actually need and (b) depending on where we are in the league, we might struggle to attract any decent players. well, these are additional questions but we appear to have bought 3 good players in the summer and one who is struggling, we could feasibly buy 3 more for the right positions ashley has to know the TV money is going up, spending another 50m in january doesn't make a dent if we stick around in the league and trouser that cash -

As regards the going down bit it's by no means certain. 9 games to the halfway point, we're capable of winning at least 3 of them and nabbing a draw or two. Then buy well in January we'd be OK imo. Either of those two things doesn't happen it'll be curtains. -
Spent 50 Mil in three seasons..what more do you want. I keep getting told nar man Mike Ashley spent loads By whom?

did you watch the game? this seems like an emo note to failure from someone who didn't watch what unfolded Yeah, I watched it until 2-0. The referee was terrible yes, but I think looking at the referee is just a sidenote. Pre-Pardew/Ashley Newcastle teams 1-0 down and a man down would have fought back to a 1-1 against a team as pitiful as that, shit ref or not. looking at the referee is a sidenote? you've all lost it, totally lost it like You'd have a point if we'd lost 1-0. It is a sidenote, as I've said, pre Pardew/Ashley teams would have fought back for a draw in that situation against a team as shit as that. Do you disagree with that point? I thought we did try to fight back, should have equalised but then ended up conceding more goals while chasing the game. Pretty hard to fight back when you are behind and down to 10 men. If the score was 0-0 then that's a different matter, we could just took a striker off and defended. This is what I said aye, we came back well enough but the second goal was a sucker punch, it doesn't render the rest of the performance invalid. It's the point I'm making about this losing mentality we have in the club though. It used to be unacceptable, now it seems excusable. I honestly didn't see that Pardew factor today, guess that's the difference. -

Honestly missed it. The answer is maybe. In all my years watching Newcastle coming back from a goal down with 10 men has not been one of our strengths if I'm honest. It's not something I feel should happen though today they had a go and got caught with a shitty deflected 2nd goal, hence I don't get the outrage/depression. -

Eh? We completely dominated the game with 11 men and could easily have been 2 or 3 up. But we weren't 2 or 3 up. man. Please stop being a tool. I'll be alright thanks. The day I take instructions from you will be a sad day indeed. Its not a strong point anyway. Sunderland last season: Arsenal 0-0 Sunderland Sunderland 0-0 Swansea Sunderland 1-1 Man Utd Sunderland 0-0 Chelsea Liverpool 0-0 Sunderland They have proven that if they sit back they can keep a game tight. Its hardly ridiculous to not score when they get everyone behind the ball, thats all they are good for. Its when they dont do that they are vulnerable. Southamptons 8-0 was the same season as the above results. Its how they approach the game. Jayson, you're not reading the script. It's down to Ashley.
