He's great in the air and, in my opinion, one of the best Championship defenders. Would be an all right signing considering our options at the back. so assuming we somehow miraculously get shot of williamson and signed this lad we'd have the following CB options colo - 33 taylor - 29 mbemba - 21 dummett - 23 dunk - 23 lascelles - 21 6 CB's...you'd have to imagine lascelles would go out on loan for at least part of the season and then you'd ideally want to be getting shot of fitpump i suppose leaving 4 CB's for the season

I'm hoping that one moment of insanity doesn't earn him a new deal here. I'm hoping it doesn't stop them peddling him in this transfer window ffs
-
I doughnut know
-
Honestly, what would we do with this lad if we bought him? We're struggling to fit people in as it is and we certainly don't have the personnel for a 4-4-2

I'd never wish death upon Pardew like that. I want to watch him suffer and lose everyone and everything he holds dear. Hoping Cabaye only joined Palace to go Monte Cristo on his ass. Yes, perpetual suffering. Imagine him getting the England job and being shit, he'd never be able to suffer the abuse McLaren got for example. Love for him to be hated everywhere he went. Only trouble with it is he'd get very rich in the process.

Is this Dunk anything resembling decent?
-
there's this plus the fact he's toilet and a total one trick pony if he signed for us and we did some type of clockwork orange brain reprogramming on him to make him always go outside and put crosses in then there might be something there to work with for mitrogol up front but if spurs are looking for 15m we shouldn't even hang up the phone, just put it down on the table so they can hear the laughter

"Roy Hodgson will be out if the sky is fucking blue tomorrow"

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/aug/12/roy-hodgson-out-england-euro-2016-fa it's all coming up pardew think i now want them to have a 'decent' season, obviously not winning anything but maybe getting palace to a top half finish would be enough for the media to steamroll him into the job

i agree with this entirely, but i only see this as a problem until the team starts to function a bit better and hopefully become a bit less shaky at the back...then it'd be no worse than having an immobile 2nd striker in a 4-4-2, thing is he'd have to weigh in with goals for it to work he should be nowhere near the pitch in games like sunday mind, not for a long while, hope mclaren gets this now Sorry, this is just wrong, he's not immobile at all man. fortunate i didn't say he was immobile then

we'll have to pay williamson anyway, so why just ask them nicely to take him as part of any deal that's any deal for any player at any club like, please, just take him
-
His movement's one of his best attributes. aye, his off the ball movement looks quality tbf
-
you're assuming anita is injured i take it? if not he should be a guaranteed starter just now
-
Must be a weirdo and/or freak
-
Think he's less #10 and more goal scoring support forward. Movement, finding space, finishing his best attributes. I'd rather see Ayoze in that position tbh. Agree with this. And I'd add that I'm not sure you can carry this type of player when you're in the sort of position we are in the league. Maybe Citeh or Manyoo could but we need all 11 contributing fully. Think I said the other day that I can't see how you'll ever be able to have Cisse and De Jong together.
-
I'm not suggesting they could forge the perfect partnership but I would be very confident that Mbiwa under a decent setup would be better than all of our current possible partners for Mbemba.
-
would have sakho to play with mbemba like, but didn't they pay 18m for him? not that it matters, no way we're even looking at a new CB imo
-
Incredibly harsh on Mbiwa to say he 'didn't improve' like Aye, he didn't get a proper chance. had roma been a loan (ffs) and he's been back in the current setup i think we'd have had a quality CB on our hands to play with mbemba alas
-
i'm fairly confident at this stage that colback wouldn't be "great" in any system Absolutely this. Turns out they weren't on about Colback mind
-
i suppose his insistence on the 2 *dm's* is from an acknowledgement that the CB pairing is new and that one of them might well be completely finished at this level so he's looking to protect them what i think he's failing to see, if that is the case, is that especially with the signing of mbemba they're not too bad on the ground and at reading the game coming through the middle, so having 2 dwarves in there isn't helping, what they arguably need is a 6ft+ DM who can slot in alongside them to fend off every type of cross or high ball that's put into the box if we had one of those we could simply go 4-1-4-1 of sorts, not sure how best to write that formation
-
He's a completely different type of player to Yaya Toure.

this should highlight why we need mitro on the pitch and functioning ASAP tbh
