not sure i'd go as far as immense but much, much better like aye love all the new players tbh, and i'm rather enjoying us not being absolute shit at every aspect of the game get thauvin on for obertan and we've got a chance here like, as long as we don't do the usual trick of starting the 2nd half asleep
-
he's a fucking travesty, we're playing with 10 men every game ffs
-
would have shit the bed if that header went in, fucking hell
-
swear to god i don't think i can bear to watch this cunt standing watching his man run past him and double up on the full back like he has no cares in the fucking world
-
i'm not convinced of this anymore personally, i think the ashleyout thing and the protests that were starting to kick off woke them up and scared the shite out of them in real terms they've only appointed a 'competent' manager, allowed him to staff the backroom with non-fuckwits, and spent some of what they need to start redressing the fuckups and squad stripping they spent 2 years or whatever overseeing the walkout at spurs and targetting of ashley/SD changed it all, had that not have happened then aye carver and bullshit all the way

she's funny his bird, obviously great looking when all dolled up for the modelling but looks X times better when she's just out and about or whatever via her instagram stuff

quite like the 'he loves a cuppa' thing that's going on on twitter

Is that platform quote from Pardew about one of his own players? Surely not

He will play this season, but from the pine, with the odd start also Fact is, he hasn't played enough, or really proven enough to just be handed the gig. Certainly not with Thauvin and Sissoko available for those wide positions. People need to pump the brakes with these kids man. Just chill. Both he and Ayoze will have their time for sure. Right now I like them as options off the bench, but they should be brought on every game, and then also get starts here and there also. We need a more dangerous and viable bench afterall. We have grown so accustomed to not having one, but with these we shall. see there's some sense being spoken here, traditionally it's for the youngsters to take their chances when they come along (presumably they'll get it in the cup tie) and then hold their place if they take it the problem with the logic atm is that fucking obertan is playing
-
if that was the price for sakho and we can't get a 'top class' CB in we should be all him for that sort of money like
-
I'm not so sure if we need loads of pace. Apart from when they played Brugge the other day they have never really went out to attack teams that well, they have sat back a lot trying to retain possession. If we we go at them then that's where we will get hurt, on the break. We need to make the most of any opportunity to counter attack instead of taking the game to them. In saying that McClaren usually shines more in these types of games and has decent amounts of success at OT. Would we not use the pace for the counter, otherwise what's the point?

I do agree with you mate i'm sick of the Colback/Anita partnership as well. Wijanldum one step down please. just posted this in the match thread for saturday, pretty much the same anyway, i reckon he'll stick with colback/anita, obertan and maybe cisse, and we'll be out of the game before it starts
-
suspect mclaren will try and play safe here picking 'established' players like obertan for their experience and the game will be over before it's begun i'd play krul mbemba taylor colo haidara anita sissoko wijnaldum thauvin aarons mitrovic i'm assuming dummett isn't fit or i'd have him in instead of haidara, if sissoko is out then ginger jack in obvs basically try and play it like that time we beat them under pardew, get them all in as a solid unit with the 2 wide players under explicit instructions to cover their fullbacks and then when we get the ball hit them like fuck on the break with the ball into mitrovic and people running off him hence sissoko in the middle with the main job of supporting attacks, followed by wijnaldum...if it's colback, anita & obertan we're done like, no point switching on imo
-
said a few days ago i'd have sakho like, for the right money, i.e. not the 18m or whatever liverpool paid for him
-
If we went with a more static back 4 then no reason having a right footed left back should be that much of an issue.

same here though i've got the forum set the opposite way to other people i think, i have the newest posts on the 1st page as opposed to at the end so always just go to page 1 this is why i like tapatalk, takes you right to the last post you read -
Exactly with you. might be a blessing in disguise, or maybe it's what mclaren is aiming for...have a solid back 4 sitting together and the full backs not wandering much then leave the goals and shit to sissoko, wijnaldum, thauvin, aarons, mitrovic and hopefully perez...basically an attacking front 6 and a static back 4 until they're able to fucking defend as a unit

wasn't he a favourite of biesla (allegedly) too and doesn't bielsa play pretty attacking stuff? you'd have expected him to have been decent if so Of course he is man, you don't go from a exciting skillful winger at 20 to slow and talentless at 22. He's had a bad season and some bad press and it just seems like he's disliked in France. no i meant he had a poor season under bielsa when you'd have expected the opposite that's all I only know what I've read here and in articles which say he was basically played as a wingback. Expected to man mark the opposition winger ut also get forward to attack and most of the time looked knackered. I'd hope with Pardew gone we won't ask him to do the same here. ah righto, would explain a lot - bielsa plays some ludicrous (but entertaining) 3-4-3 system or something doesn't he? aye if the lad was playing wide maybe he was pardewing it then

Class that like. Hahaha!! The bitterness and bile on there if i had to guess i'd wager that a lot of the posters in there are posting from prison
