2014 FIFA World Cup Brasil™ - Europe vs. America
mrmojorisin75 replied to LucaAltieri's topic in Football
by the way, the level of 'gamesmanship' in the countries from mexico down is absolutely fucking staggering when you see it all together at one time, even brazil were at it against chile -
if you don't sign a solid leader to play with jones & smalling you're fucked, neither of them have shown any signs whatsoever that they'll be able to suddenly step up and become a leader and rock at the back
-
nobody is going to buy jonas like, not a chance
-
seems strange that the ban would extend to not paying him but then allow him to transfer for 80m quid and thus benefit massively financially from it

posted this in the comments on the pardew article in the independent "I started reading this column but then the realisation dawned on me as a Newcastle United fan that I'm reading the opinion of the worst manager we've had at the club in 20 years, so I stopped. This World Cup must be Alan's nightmare; lots of goals and attacking flair, nobody shutting up shop at half time when they're winning 1-0 then hanging on for a 1-1 draw with grim determination. Not enough left-backs on show for Alan either I imagine. At least the author was gracious enough to point out his own indiscretions last season, I note that he hopes he learned from the head butt...shame he didn't learn earlier on when he called someone an "old c#nt" isn't it? The authors opinions are as useful as the teams he puts out on a weekly basis, and they've lost 50% of their games in the last 2 years. NUFC still have some saleable assets Alan, will they be touted around in next week's column when you "write" something about France?" really, really hope he reads it the fucking prick

Yeah I might treat myself. Love that kit. love colombias federation badge for some reason what's the away shirt like, is it that red one or something?
-
this is exactly right like you can't fine him enough to make a difference to his life so what other options do fifa have? he only does one fucking thing man and he's being punished for attacking somebody while doing that very thing the ban, i'm sure, has been intended to make his sponsors think twice about the mountains of cash they pay him (worked) and also to make his club think about what sanctions they can put on the player, or indeed what help they can insist he gets as his employer, in order to avoid yet another repeat of the situation the flaw in logic with the club aspect is it's fucking liverpool we're dealing with, they'll be having marches and mourning sessions to support the cunt
-
i want that current colombia kit like, it's just about perfect tbh
-
So grudgey all the time. i am now, i am fucking now watch your letterbox
-
got slated for saying townend's shit stank when he had those few good games he'll do alright somewhere but he's never going to be a top class player, our level is about right for him, well i say our level i'm probably talking us up a bit there tbh

So, Liverpool have a player that they supported when he bit someone, claiming that the length of the ban was extreme and down to the FA and Premier League. He then doesn't learn his lesson and does it again. Liverpool now have a better chance of winning the league. Why should a team ever benefit when one of their players bites someone? Because why not? It's not like the punishment is going to cause Suarez to mend his ways, is it? Fucker's done it three times now. Everyone knows he's off his trolley, yet most clubs would still give their eye teeth for the bitey sod because he's so fucking good. So he's still going to earn millions. Other clubs aren't going to lose interest just because he once again proved he's as mental as everyone already knew he was… Suarez himself just gets to take an extended (paid) holiday. The punishment falls essentially on Uruguay and Liverpool, which—you would hope—is not really what was intended. Instead of banning him from games (which effectively only punishes his national and club sides), they should have fined him something painful (instead of half a week's wages) or forced him to play wearing a muzzle (well, forced him to seek professional help). If someone that are good at their job commits a crime, they should not be sent to jail because the punishment falls on their employers? Miss the point much? I said they should try to do something that punished the player more than his national/club side. Bans clearly aren't having the desired effect because the crazy bastard keeps doing it again. honestly dude, give it up

Yes, but everyone is banned from drink driving but only a few are banned for drink driving. pedantry gone mad

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jun/28/luis-suarez-bite-balance-hit-face-chiellini "Another reason for the unprecedented punishment was the Uruguayan showed no repentance for the incident and previous bans had not changed his behaviour. “At no time did the player show any kind of remorse or admit to any violation of Fifa rules and therefore showed no awareness of having committed any infraction,” the Fifa document read. The document showed a proposal for a six-game ban was considered but rejected as insufficient. “The minimum punishment was not sufficient to have the necessary dissuasive effect. Previous bans did not have an effect.” so the daft cunt only has himself to blame with the "i fell over" excuse as the statement was taken into consideration before the judgement ....as already stated hopefully they increase the ban due to the bullshit appeal

he's 30 now and all, wasn't very fucking quick to start with, if he's anywhere near the first team next season we're in deep shit (deeper shit)

thats confusing me actually, attack wasn't Liverpools problem, far from it, sure they need extra depth but I would have thought the immediate need was to improve the defense or get someone better at actually protecting the back four than Gerrard was talking about this today, aside from them conceding loads of goals what the fuck do they think is going to happen with their CM in the CL next season?
