just watched stewart lee's comedy vehicle: "if only there was a way to make liverpool prosperous by going on and on about the past in a whiny voice"
-
think his point is that we could pick up someone on a free, or get someone coming into the last year of their contract for cheap like gouffran who would be automatically be batter than shola by default no?
-
honest question, if they canned pardew and appointed say laudrup or someone like martinez (whoever that may be) but were very upfront about the fact they're not going to spend much money would you but a ST on that basis? i.e. you'd be looking at better football, a manager who knows what he's doing and wants to win football games but won't be provided much in the way of resources I would probably go because I might actually enjoy the football. Yeah I'd have a season ticket for Everton like. Yeah this is how I feel about it tbh.

suppose they've passed the point of no return with most like aye

i love their timescale on making decisions personally, was reading this morning that the next decision point as to whether they tear apart the entire football calendar won't be taken until 2015 -
Two major reasons why we are currently 9th in the league and not fighting relegation are Remy and Cabaye. We've already sold Cabaye and it's unlikely Remy will be here next season. When Remy doesn't play we don't score. NUFC have not bought any players for two transfer windows. There are my reasons for assuming next season will be shit. Naw I know, I'm more surprised how many people are on the same page. A few were shot down when saying the same after finishing 5th.
-
yep, coming up on 1.5 years he's pissed away with us now
-
it's interesting the amount of people already acknowledging that we're almost certainly going to have a shit season next year when we're in 9th place
-
i was going to say you're missing the point, but you rarely miss the point of these things you seem to just choose to sidestep it no-one else is decreasing their prices ian, it's just the equivalent of selling shell suits cheap in his shops: "no-one is buying those shite sondico shell suits we bought mike, they're a tenner and people don't want them" "ok let's drop them to a fiver" it's exactly the same; the fans are an instrumental part of the advertising vehicle, but people have stopped wanting to pay money for a shite product so rather than attempt to win them back with a better product they'll try and sell them the same shit cheaper wish i had a letter, i'd wipe my arse on it and send it back i know you know all this btw

do we not play these at anfield last day of the season? sure pards would be proud to be part of the title procession at a great club like liverpool

outstanding work the telegraph, think all the papers should be at it looking to expose bribery and heap as much pressure on as possible with a bit of luck they can manage to expose something about the russia bid and take the 2018 WC from those cunts and all -
I agree whole heartedly. Plus we have the added bonus that a Liverpool title would piss the Manchester United glory hunters off the most. Yeah I agree, plus you know that a title would more than likely be a one off with the sovereign states spending their GDP budgets next season again.

decide on a way of playing and go with it, for example don't sign a striker like de jong if we don't intend to sign anyone who can fucking cross a ball to him
-
hot fuck did that actually happen?
-
can't believe i'm saying this but i hope these go on to win this now, it'll be the best thing for the league
-
sherwood is up there with pardew imho, what an absolute fucking wanker

Actually looking forward to this. Feels like forever since i was at SJP. Game will probably be shite, like. Seen yesterday how they can just turn up with 10 men behind the ball and look for 0-0. Difference is, they'll probably nick a goal against us and take all 3 i'd say you've just accurately predicted the entire game there brett, not sure why you'd be looking forward to it so much knowing what's coming -

well it's specifically the remy replacement that worries me due to the manager, if he doesn't have a striker putting in double-figures on scraps of service then he's got nothing -

we should all prepare for next season tbh, could be that carr and the transfer people come good as they've done for the last few years, but it's far from guaranteed -

it's why we nearly got relegated after finishing 5th, a shite run is just around the corner as we know, a catastrophic run is always a possibility if they don't sign a double-figure striker to replace remy next season we'll be in trouble, no doubt about it -
i agree with alijmitchell's wider point personally, think it's bollocks to start trying to distinguish massively between the likes of newcastle, manchester, birmingham, liverpool, leeds, sheffield and such there's class nights out to be had in all the major cities, however when you take a step down i don't think the comparison holds - to compare a night in sunderland (topical) with a night in manchester, or a night in wakefield with a night in the toon for example just doesn't work for me
