honest question, if they canned pardew and appointed say laudrup or someone like martinez (whoever that may be) but were very upfront about the fact they're not going to spend much money would you but a ST on that basis? i.e. you'd be looking at better football, a manager who knows what he's doing and wants to win football games but won't be provided much in the way of resources I would probably go because I might actually enjoy the football. i agree with alijmitchell's wider point personally, think it's bollocks to start trying to distinguish massively between the likes of newcastle, manchester, birmingham, liverpool, leeds, sheffield and such there's class nights out to be had in all the major cities, however when you take a step down i don't think the comparison holds - to compare a night in sunderland (topical) with a night in manchester, or a night in wakefield with a night in the toon for example just doesn't work for me
