fucks sake wullie man, you're a quality poster but i honestly don't get how you can't see bruce changed shit up after the first goal...he closed down the areas we were getting joy and his players exploited the massive holes in our formation you make it sound like pardew just ordered them back into formation as soon as the first goal went in, that's not how it happened at all
-
sure we were saying shit like this last year like
-
Yes,he is. If that's not dropping your team back then I don't know what is. What i find baffling more than anything is that this has been a pattern that has repeated over and over again, yet people still can't see it. Madness taking this game in isolation you surely have to see that hull were taking us apart in the gaps during the first half right? it was how they got back in the game Hulls main danger was a clipped ball over the top/behind tiote. While I agree we hadn't gripped the midfield enough it got worse second half, huddlestone was strolling around the pitch picking whatever pass he wanted. We looked worse in the second half than the first so I'm not sure what closing that gap did? Aside from give Huddlestone more space i'm not saying he got it right all i'm saying is that we were playing 3 up top effectively with no cover for the fullbacks, cabaye was playing as a 4th forward in essence leaving anita and sissoko on their own...their strikers started dropping into that space and they exploited the space remy/hba left to good effect pardew's answer to that was to drop the midfielders back in, which also had a negative counter effect on our play...in hindsight he'd have been better slugging it out and trying to score more goals than them but i see what he was trying to do my initial point was to agree with brett that it's not as simple as pardew just told us to sit deep after the first goal, it's not as simple as that, our balance as a team was wrong and hull exploited it very well....the changes pardew then made to counter that played into their hands

fuck me i'm going to have to agree with brett i thought we went at them early and they struggled, after the goal though bruce could clearly see we were there to be taken both on the flanks (how many times did they look to get in behind debuchy 1st half?) and with the space between our M & D - look where the first goal came from man, a player in between our M & D playing into the space debuchy left exposed this gave hull confidence, coupled with our players seemingly thinking they didn't have to try pardew is at total fault for not being able to react to it, not to affect any changes during the second half to get us back in the game...but he's shite, so we knew this anyway

Mine is as well. mine reckons he had the final say so

man that's a crazy level of bribery if it's real though...just think what it'd take to keep the English FA, Premier League and influential clubs quiet, and that's only england i'll be impressed if they're bribing that many people, probably deserve it then thb -

this boggles my mind tbh, i can't understand for the life of me why everyone is just going along with it yes the world cup is fifas but they'd not have a world cup if the major players got together and decided they'll opt out if the football calendar in europe is shifted...how hard can that be, make a few phone calls and get them all on the same page? that'd sort it in no fucking time -
just seen spurs pulled out a late winner, this season is shaping up very nicely imo...obviously it'd be fucking devastating to see spurs lift the title but hopefully they and arsenal can really stay in it for a very long time this year
-
dafuq? well say one thing about short like, he doesn't fuck about when things are obviously fucked...can't see how they'll reconcile that with a getting a decent long-term manager though what a fuckin pity
-
for me they needed more of a creative goalscoring MF than a "prescence", someone to fill the scholes role but perhaps with more creativity...you can buy a player like fellaini for a lot less imo...not that he's a bad player by any means
-
i know, bit flippant really but when you consider the fee they paid i really don't think he's the calibre of player you should be getting for it
-
did everton draft in levy for the fellaini transfer? he looks an absolute nothing player here like, not in the same class as those around him
-
do you not think this was maybe a tactic? we got a lot of joy last week vs. villa and i don't recall hatem tracking back much, when the ball was won he was generally quite far forward and our first option to take the ball and carry it remy didn't track back much either, i just wonder if pardew thought we had enough without them and to use them to stretch play when we won it back...playing 3 forwards as opposed to 1 forward and 2 wide midfielders i mean either way, it didn't work
-
is MAOC a real thing?
-
wonder what he was expecting hull to do, turn up and give us loads of space like villa did?
-
my pretty realistic mackem mate reckons they're down with absolute certainty like, he said the same prior to sacking o'neill and all to be fair to him they look fucked
-
he keeps saying we've looked solid prior to yesterday, no idea what he's watching like
-
i felt he was perhaps the tactical change we missed yesterday that could have swung things our way, it was so obvious that he was never going to get change on the wing after watching the first half when cabaye got injured we should have moved hba into the middle and put gouffran wide right, that would have drawn the 2-3 players marking hatem into the middle and opened up the option to get the ball out wide into space to gouff or remy and get in behind them little tactical things like that pardew hasn't got a fucking clue about, it might not have worked but it would have been better than what he did
-
Yeah, great ! Of COURSE we shouldn't expect to beat one of the bookies' favourites for relegation at SJP..... Ashley has done a GREAT job on you, hasn't he..!? starting to see the overreaction thing now myself, where did deuce say we shouldn't expect to beat them? of course we should and most of us did...however we didn't because they played better than us
-
i was trying to say this last night and got slated, there were 2 teams on the pitch yesterday and bruce completely outwitted planA pardew...after we dominated and scored bruce and his players exploited our obvious weaknesses and we were lucky to be winning at HT let's be honest it's not like pardew's decisions changed the game in their favour, they have a massive hand in that themselves, pardew just couldn't answer it...he rarely can
-
jesus christ man, they got it right after they went behind i'm out
-
yes, and lets be honest at home more often than not it works
