  1. what does this mean, he's just moved the location?
  2. erm what's left in a football manager? he's a bullshit merchant and a shit coach, pretty much the worst description of a coach i can think of

is there such a thing as a manual treadmill?
  5. fucking soul destroying what's happened to these two this season like
  6. fucks sake he's only 28, thought he was already in his 30's (probably because he's as slow as fuck) best of luck to the lad, with a bit of luck from our pov by the time he gets back he'll never see the first team again
  7. At least Sunderland's board had the common sense to sack MON, I don't think ours will. Ashley is generally very loyal to the people who work for him if they have delivered in the past. But he's known for being ruthless if he loses faith in them. I don't know Ashley personally so have no idea what his view of Pardew is right now but I would think that AP would be unwise to think he just has to keep us up to stay here. I think Ashley would be looking at the final matches this season for some signs that AP can deliver results when any Europa side effects cannot be regarded as an issue. Chris Hughton says hi. mike ashley says hi
  8. Exactly, every time the goal-line technology debate comes up I raise this argument. The goal line is the least of our worries. True. I think there should be video review for every big decision, so goals/red cards/penalties. I agree to a certain extent, but was discussing this the other day in relation to how far you take it. Do you review every single offside decision given or just ones that lead to a goal being allowed/disallowed? Do you review every single phase of play before a goal? Say, for example, the ball is played over the top and Cisse would be one on one with the keeper, but Cisse is incorrectly flagged offside - do you review that kind of decision? If you do review it and realise that Cisse wasn't offside, how do you rectify it? You can't recreate the exact scenario.. pretty simple for me, linesmen and refs would be much more inclined to give the advantage to the attacker and let things go...defences would adapt to always playing to the whistle while the ball is in the back of the net video ref reviews and if offside cancels the goal and gives a free kick take that to the nth degree though and they might end up removed entirely from the decision and everyone just plays every decision pending review dunno
  9. an infuriating mystery, why buy these players when he has no fucking idea how to utilise them? maybe he convinced them he could...or maybe they just buy what carr says and carr understands football
  10. nah i'm critical of our performances under pardew win or lose 'cause invariably they're the same these days, shit chelsea away at the start of the season, for example, i didn't really have a bad word to say about despite the fact we were very lucky to walk away with a 2-0...spurs away this season was a good performance in spite of defeat, i can see them when they come...there just aren't that many
  11. Also, those who criticise the performance too much because we lost? unless that was pointed at me () then i agree
  12. Because it's boring and unattractive perhaps? don't even think it has to be, pardew's wasn't that exciting 'cause of the rigid shape he employed...you could still play direct football up to a big man like carroll and have the fullbacks and midfielders flooding forward to support him sure it'd be a canny watch myself if they were drilled to do it
  13. topical, but 2 things that annoy me about stupid fans: those who can forget an abject performance like it never happened 'cause we fluke a winner those who think that the fact they've paid for a season ticket somehow makes them more of an expert on football than those without, some of the most clueless cunts i've met have been ST holders
  14. anyone know anything more about this guy? sounds interesting
  15. Could it be there is a search already underway for an end of season replacement? don't give me hope man
  16. surely liverpool would never sell us carroll for shite money?
  17. Based on what? i said to my mackem mate after the derby that my immediate concern with him would be player purchases, no track record whatsoever at this level...seems to have an understanding of the modern game and is a motivator so can't see him having massive trouble from that side they really can't afford to burn more money though
  18. cheers, just wondered about zola like as noone seems to have mentioned him
  19. what about the approach, and the football though? that seems to be the focus of everyone's attention these days
  20. will ask here as it got lost in the pardew thread, is zola any good?
  21. what does anyone think of zola? just a question really, on paper seems to have done well at watford but i know there are reasons behind that such as loaning about 2 entire teams worth of players from italy or whatever
