youtube clips of bony were fuckin stupid, he just knocks everyone about in the dutch league then belts the ball in when they're on the deck let's face it though, we'll be playing under pardew so a battering ram to replace ba is required...might as well sell cisse though
-
the future of our national team is pretty fucking bleak isn't it?
-
the fuck did pardew say this? terrified about this summer if he's convinced them we need more "battlers" and "big men" to fix our problems
-
even if next season was average-good i'd fully expect the one after that to be a bag of shit
-
hope lies in the review right? right?
-
just read that he's been told he's staying and he's asked for more experience brilliant
-
so i take it that you have a tacit acceptance that pardew cannot coach a basic passing game into players with rudimentary technique then, that he has to be handed the finished article and even then he's not very good with it?
-
i don't frequent any other boards but the people i see posting on here know their football like and it's been very clear me over the last say 1.5 seasons that the cracks have slowly become to big to ignore with pardew and it's reached the extend that people can see our future if he stays as the manager it's that simple imo...a massive build up of pressure seeing how poor the guy is with their own eyes for too long, many tried to ignore it under the guise of stability but even they know where we're heading with this guy at the helm

It's from the perspective that he is poor, but not as poor as people are making out. From the perspective that he has been dealt some unbelievable luck this season, despite people refusing to accept his "excuses". The perspective that he's the best appointment Ashley has managed in 6 years and I fear for the standard of manager he is capable of attracting otherwise. I would be delighted to see a manager brought in who was not a footballing dinosaur or an inexperienced youth looking for any opportunity. However, even if it did happen, I don't think they could do significantly better than mid-table with a team that has more often than not consisted of Simpson, Taylor, Williamson and Perch (all not good enough), Anita and Marveaux (not experienced enough yet...but don't look good enough to me), Cabaye and Gutierrez (consistently playing worse than they have previously).....leaving only Krul and Cisse as the players that have performed.....though the latter has been incredibly wasteful while always being the most likely to score for us. ah righto ta, i mean i disagree massively with a lot of what you're saying then but that's life

i've kind of lost track of what happy face is on about here, seems to be lots of defending pardew going on - is it from a standpoint of he's not that bad or he's not going anywhere get used to it?
-
team, no squad, of full internationals not enough to expect to be free of relegation worry 'til the 37th games of the season ends?
-
again, this was largely the managers choice no? he had other options but sissoko came in and looked like he was going to set the world on fire so pardew flogged him to death hoping he'd win games on his own imo

think hans might have covered this but let's assume you're correct - what has the manager done about it in 2.5 years then? his job isn't to just let shit happen...if you were right, and i don't think you are, he's paid to find a way to stop it happening He got 5 new players in January that are better than the ones they replaced. They will help with that, long term. Short term they are as likely to show inexperience or panic as those lesser players. doesn't explain the identical performances, indeed worse performances, prior to january Performances were solid and achieved 5th place when we had a remarkably injury free season. Before January we were filling gaps with Sammy Ameobi. Tavernier? Obertan? Ferguson? Bigirimana? They're not good enough. so he can only succeed when he has ideal circumstances then? pretty much the opposite of the definition of a successful manager right there also, you correctly used the term "filling gaps", he wasn't fielding 6 reserve players every week the entire season...he filled gaps with poorer players and inexperienced bairns, that's what happens in football
-
signs were there last season that this season might happen, we all know this, what we didn't know for sure last year was how poorly pardew would react when he was up against it - it's some of the worst top flight football management i've ever witnessed tbh, he should be sacked for this alone

it really is like, note is not was
-
crux of the problem imo, the base he inherited was right up his street as a manager but the ground has shifted under his feet with the players we're bringing in and the expectations from one good season - he can't cope with that and can't adapt to it i expect next season with him trying to start how last season began, that is his "philosophy"

Who fancies having a thoroughly fruitless protest against Pardew?
mrmojorisin75 replied to a topic in Football
he's right to assume there's a zero chance of any public protest against pardew being presented as anything but an utter embarrassment to the club and region, regardless of whether it's a quality, reasoned protest or not the media don't care, they'll just want to make the people involved out to look like twats 'cause it's easy same at any club tbh -

depends whether holes can be picked on whatever analysis is presented of his failings really though doesn't it? -

are there actually any good ideas to achieve what the OP wants? -
A fully fit Krul & HBA is worth about 10 points a season alone imo. If he's lucky and they stay fit I'd imagine we'll stumble to around 50 points. Plus I reckon Cisse will get an extra half dozen goals. Nothing of Pardew's doing but players alone will get us around the upper mid-table mark. i don't think next season will be as bad, however if cabs & hba etc. are dead set against playing for this joker again next season and start demanding moves i think they might can pardew in favour of keeping a group of players together that they've worked very hard to acquire...it's probably our best hope also hoping that if he's been told he's in the job it's simply to keep his mouth shut in the press while they search for a replacement

to be fair, this lads got a fucking good point we all seem to roundly acknowledge that ash and dekka either know fuck all about football and/or are being blinded by pardew's patter and perhaps 'cause they're mates a detailed analysis of his failings as suggested, but also perhaps sent to well respected national football journalists would actually have the potential to spark a change as opposed to some embarrassing chelp that makes a 10 second spot on SSN and would just make everyone involved look like twats -
interview questions 1 & 2: what are your opinions on shola ameobi & jonas gutierrez the candidate(s) that answer i'd shoot them with shit, they'll never be near a team i'm managing should be in with a shout imo EDIT: you could/should probably add williamson to that
