  1. there were signs against chelsea
  2. Bit more on this, reminded me of the good performances against manyoo and arse when we lost. Chelsea let us play, when we come up against teams who shut up shop no way should Sissoko play so high. That's what I'm saying in a nutshell.
  3. As I said, didn't expect to get much agreement and time will tell when teams get a better look at him. Nothing to take away from his performance though, he rocked.
  4. this won't go down well but personally thought for a certain periods on saturday he wasn't played right myself...seemed, tactically, to be being played in a way that paid lip service to yaya toure or something but it didn't entirely suit him hence all the missed headers and challenges with his back to goal turned out already, obviously, but nearly didn't felt he could have been deeper and more involved in general play rather than operating as a secondary striker...i don't see him like that myself he's class like, love him to bits already, along with cabs my favourite player without doubt EDIT: actually the yaya toure reference isn't right, if he'd been played like that it'd have been fine...it's more that he was played as a striker, which he clearly isn;t
  5. Bobby put a lot of emphasis on energy and pace. I don't know the stats from that season but I'll bet we won a lot of points away from home. Dyer, Bellamy and Robert used to cut teams apart on the break. Add that to Speed and Shearer's threat from set pieces with some craft from Solano and we had a pretty potent mix. I said this a while back, but that front 6 is my 'template' for building a good side and probably always will be. Such a fantastic, functional and exciting balance. you'd chose that as your template over some of wengers arsenal teams and countless ferguson manyoo teams that had everything bobby's team had and more?
  6. this is a horrifically constrcuted point
  7. troll stu will never die
  8. nah, don't buy this at all myself.,...noone, noone could send a team out to play the we can and be winning a game, change it to defend then when we're falling apart not change it back the only thing that makes sense is that the good stuff with him isn't intentional
  9. this is the OP question, answer is a categoric NO.
  10. that's a stick i'm not willing to beat him with, and i'm one of his biggest critics that whole thing was a fucking circus Agreed. Like Xisco & that player on loan who got injured with Keegan. You're right. They're exactly like those two players. Hence why they've vanished into obscurity since. look to your left, the point is in the other direction
  11. that's a stick i'm not willing to beat him with, and i'm one of his biggest critics that whole thing was a fucking circus Agreed. Like Xisco & that player on loan who got injured with Keegan. was thinking about him the other day, nacho right? wonder what became of him!!
  12. that's a stick i'm not willing to beat him with, and i'm one of his biggest critics that whole thing was a fucking circus
  13. i think this is our best fucking hope and teasy yeah, been saying it myself since before reading..if we stay up i'll give pardew no credit whatsoever given he's created this set of circumstances himself almost entirely imho
  14. honestly can't see how anyone is able to argue with this, it's totally on the money he needs to be sacked, now
  15. you know who our manager is right?
  16. penny starting to drop with people just how clueless this cunt is now i see problem now is this result buys him the spurs and chelsea games in the event the players can't drag us to any points in spite of this man...if pardew's tactics start to bite after those games the new lads might not be able to save us i'm afraid
  17. with a bit of luck the training the new lads have had at their previous clubs will be enough to carry us through the rest of the season and remind the players who've been pardewed that they're actually able to play football
  18. If worse comes to worse, Dempsey can play point until Adebayor is back. It's not ideal, but he's done it for the national team at times. He needs someone to interchange with too (i.e. can't play him as a long striker).
