  1. so if they go out and the cup is won by spurs, chelsea or everton then we don't get europe, or would that only apply if everton won?
  2. too tempting for the team to revert to hoying it up to him, rather have more footballers to be honest

i'd imagine it looks an appealing place for potential new players to come and play as well

fair play to pards, questions were being asked and he's answering the fuckers what did people think of the obvious tactical decision to run the game down the left in the second half? i found it interesting, presumably the intention was to compress the play down there with their RB on a yellow and then switch to hba in plently of space...while the switching wasn't as frequent as you'd expect it did result in a goal one of the few times they moved it over to him assuming that was a very conscious tactical move it was pretty astute, so again
  6. don't think the lads a million miles off there mind, we did look shaky at the back first 15-20 minutes, the goal settled us down and i was never really concerned about them once it went in I would put that down to us having a a makeshift central defender and a winger playing at left back. Even so we coped with them quite well after that first goal. Considering almost our entire first choice defence was missing I'd say that makes the defeat even more embarrassing for the scouse whingers. oh yeah just saying, those were indeed mitigating circumstances...frankly they should be ashamed they didn't get something from jonas as LB like, he was giving bellamy the freedom of the park the way they settled in after about 20 minutes was a credit to our players like, perch and willi covered the danger from LB area with good positioning

  8. Gerrard, Spearing, Shelvey vs. Guthrie, Cabaye, Tiote we should win the midfield battle imo

25-30 yards isn't "moderately high"? depends who they play btw, bellamy and suarez could get in behind no bother if we're too high up, downing is no slouch either

interesting to see what he does for me, what he did at villa by the end tainted some good stuff he started with....if he's a manager of any kind of decent calibre he should have learned from it the type of player being talked about here will simply never propel them above the sort of level they're currently at...to be fair he's got them performing pretty well and had they had a full season on the same form would be challenging for europe, dunne etc. couldn't get villa any higher so why would it work now? i actually think MoN might be a better manager in a setup like ours; throw the players at him and get him to make it work - regardless of whatever anyone thinks his teams are always decent and competitive tbf and he can get people playing

depends where he sets up the line and if tiote's playing for me...too deep we'll get penned in, too high they'll destroy perchiamson...somewhere about the 25 - 30 yard mark for me when they have the ball, string 5 across and make it hard for them...as soon as we win it look for ba or hba and let cisse move off the ball

3 people in agreement in the pardew thread; call the cops, hall of fame this motherfucka!
  15. reads very much like you'd expect the stats to between the best footballing team of their generation and italian teams....messi's personal stats also reflect this too clearly
  16. how many games did barca lose from those 7 out of interest? given that the hallmark of italian football is good defending marking messi out of the game is one thing, winning the game while marking him out of it another i'd imagine
  17. Will never feel sorry for him, it's like you forgetting to buy your lass some flowers so she goes and fucks someone else then realises that bloke is a complete cunt and wants you back. Fuck her, the fucking slag bitch whore! not the first 21 year old to make a bad decision like

think Tron said the same the other day, tactically we should approach this game like the away team, let them come onto us and let the front three do their shit plus playing everyone a bit deeper and tighter (hopefully inc. tiote) should hopefully mean the central defence wouldn't be as exposed
