  1. West Brom is one of those places where a Pards defensive line up would make sense, but of course the daft nugget abandoned it last time round. Let's hope he doesn't have one of his tactical brain farts today. Last time round? What do you mean by that? spurs away i'd imagine
  2. sit deep, HBA wide right, 1 up top, soak up the pressure and do them on the break anything else will be utter suicide
  3. ha! i see cronaldo broke a record yesterday that messi will be forever unable to better, good for him
  4. Is that not just some clever way to get round the new financial rules coming in? doesn't matter either way does it, because it's being sold as a contractual kit deal the kit company can't exactly ask liverpool for the money back if they piss it all up the wall on more carroll's and downing's can they?
  5. do they, who are those people? come to think of it i haven't heard anyone really complain about our transfer policy for quite some time...
  6. that kit deal is fuckin nuts, 300m over 6 years right? 60m a season....they can keep giving kenny money to piss away for the forseeable really
  7. In terms of goalscoring records he's never gonna match Gerd Muller. wtf - are you a anti messi-bot hired by cristiano ronaldo to trawl the interwebs trying to convince everyone messi isn't as good as he actually is? alpal's post is as close as we'll ever get to an agreement from either side mind...i said similar to messi (the poster) myself before; if they build the team around messi (the player) argentina will win the world cup or go very close
  8. has anyone seen argentina recently? i won't accept criticism of messi until i see a concerted effort from whoever is in charge to set them up to play a system based on him being fucking mint and the best player in the world whoever is their manager should be looking at the last 2 seasons and see how well that can be replicated with the players at his disposal...the one thing about maradona you knew he was their star, the rest of the team knew it as well, but messi is playing at the same time as aguero, tevez, higuain, lavezzi plus whoever else and i always feel they have no idea what to do with them all if they build a system around messi and he's fit they'll be virtually unstoppable, if they don't he's off the hook imo
  9. if anyone has this please send it to me, i'm going to send it round the entire site email system

    Alan Pardew

In defence of Pardew (and Andy Woodman), anyone at the game who had a view of the dugout area knows there was a lot of provocation from the macum bench, not to mention their pre-meditated thuggery on the pitch. The behaviour of Frazier Campbell who also tried to wind up spectators was disgraceful and it's quite incredible that he has not been charged. Martin O'Neill's trademark is to behave like an animated tramp on speed, regularly winding up opposition fans and benches, but for some strange reason that's deemed acceptable because in the eyes of the fawning press he's just being "passionate".

plastic fans oh aye, they must be inundated
  12. I know. If we had won that game, we would had won the title. The eerie silence coming out of that match still kind of haunts me. I've never experienced it since and the contrast to the mood as people made their way to SJP was tangible. it truly was a weird atmosphere after the game, in fact from the second the ball hit the net...the initial silence that met that was horrible

as it's clearly the wrong thread and the lovelorn tubthumpers are out in force i'm not gonna carry on this keegan thing with HTT...personally i don't recall saying anything negative about the bloke at all, merely tried to put his overall career into some kind of perspective no-one can and should have anything bad to say about his spell from '92-'97 as it was amazing from pretty much the moment he arrived
  14. http://www.footballshirtculture.com/images/newcastle-united-12-13-puma-home-away-third-football-shirts-leaked-a.jpg This was leaked as a potential home kit.
  15. should have got these fellas in then http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/About/General/2010/11/19/1290157327331/English-defence-league-006.jpg
  16. don't advertise or mention it then, we can't do anything without a fucking celebrity being involved man when we get shit all over in the olympics by cuba & turkmenistan at least they'll be well dressed i suppose
  17. having the kits designed by stella mccartney is like a microcosm of everything that's wrong with britain in 2012 - style over substance everytime
  18. when you think of how players generally improve their composure, vision and decision making as they get older....

He just took-over a relegated team from the premiership and spent 10M in Division One, he should had been expected to get promotion. i meant ok in the sense that he never blazed a trail like he did at newcastle, he took them back up and was well funded in doing so...certainly wasn't the shoestring operation he achieved when we were promoted...nothing out of the ordinary imo villa haven't been relegated yet, and when you consider the state liverpool have been in ever since he left they're not really comparable imo, but yeah villa isn't a bad shout...surely as much to do with the owner backing him then deciding to reign it in as much as anything else? in our case souness was given money we never had and he achieved nothing with it, at least there was little chance of villa being in real financial difficulty as a result of his spending
  20. it would be fucking ridiculous, i'm getting excited at the very prospect of it happening now i think it'd break mourinho like, his reputation would be in tatters for the first time ever
  21. stella mccartney, she designed the strip?
  22. his utter domination of the champions league renders all of that largely irrelevant anyway imo
  23. they've dropped 12 points all season and have a 6 point lead so on paper aye it looks unlikely, however i suppose if they lose one game between now and barca (assuming barca win them all) and it might get very edgy indeed
