  1. unlikely people will sign a player with a 'dodgy knee' prior to the ACoN imo...those pitches are a fucking disgrace to humanity, it wouldn't make sense even at a knockdown price imo I assume this isn't Ba's first ACN? Would the clubs all agree to hold fire on a bid until the ACN is over then battle for his signature? £5m for a £25m forward is a worthwhile gamble. Liverpool were willing to gamble £35m on a striker with half a seasons experience and a few injuries himself to put this into context, in fact if you looked at how many games Carroll has missed through injuries the last 2 years compared to Ba I would be surprised if Carroll's wasn't actually worse. well, in response to this and oldtype then the question outstanding is why haven't spurs or anyone else bid? it's a crazy low price, i agree, so what's stopping them? It not being true to this and oldtype (again): this makes even less sense man, unless i'm wrong these are direct quotes from redknapp, if there's no clause what's his end game? unsettle the player...doesn't matter does it we'd still not sell him cheaply so it gets him very little then again what does him going public with a clause get him anyway? he's just alerting other clubs that can pay more than spurs about his availability perhaps he's in ba's agent(s) pocket?

  3. i want to see a reaction from pardew and/or the club on this like, it's a fucking disgrace and someone should say so....for once people who are on twitter should put it to some use and get laid into some journalists about the hypocrisy (modric) and flagrant breaking of the rules it'll be a massive disappointment if the club just let this slide by

  5. i think this is most likely too - thing is with shitface going public it's up to MA and DL to get into Ba's agent(s) now and renegotiate his deal and get rid of the clause, NO EXCUSE if that does not happen imo and he leaves hopefully this whole thing is just a renegotiation tactic from his agent(s)
  6. think he'll see out the seasons myself even if the clause is met, seems a sound bloke but then again if he's got arseholes as agents (chances are he does) then they might start bending his ear hopefully a repeat of the tiote contract, increase his money some in return for removal of clause
  7. the fuck is this drivel? that's literally the worst article i've ever set eyes on...pseudo sex and the city girly bullshit meets football, fuck off
  8. bloke in the telegraph likened it to a pedro goal, can't disagree with that tbh
  9. wouldn't mind seeing some of the famous 'Ashley maverick streak' here with a formal complaint to the FA about this cunt pushed to the absolute limit, but that would preclude him cashing in Ba via Spurs i suppose so he'd have to weigh that up redknapp should manage liverpool tbh, both as detestable as each other
  10. Well exactly. I said earlier (along with everyone else, like yourself) that it would have been us in the driving seat when it game to contract details. I have no doubt about that. It'll be a good contract that pleases both the player and agent...but it will not be full of special clauses that benefit the player. don't agree, redknapp wouldn't be spouting this unless he thought it was true at least you all make it sound like Ba was being picked up off the fucking street man...lets not forget ashley clearly wanted a striker without paying a fee so perhaps if his deal is heavily incentivised (sp) based on how much he plays, we had to agree to a minimum clause to 'get the deal over the line'?
  11. he'd also surely be on the radar for some of the continents clubs (who could afford him) if he keeps this shit up? PSG have money to burn (and he's Parisian right?), then there's your German and Italian clubs who like to spend periodically, 20m for a striker like him is absolutely fuck all in this day and age. fatash would sell for that in a heartbeat hope he stays for years mind
  12. never stop Stu, make sure you never stop
  13. fizzle out (at best) time for pardew to show what he's made of - to be fair he's surprised us all more than once before i suppose
  14. who garside or someone else? nah hes just the chairman, the owners Eddie Davies who has loaned a fair bit of cash to Bolton though charges interest on the loans unlike Ashley for example http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/david-conn-inside-sport-blog/2009/nov/05/boltonwanderers-premierleague he's worth 60-90m after a quick google search, he'll be wanting that lot back then eventually
  15. What is this nonsense?! built myself up too many times with us going to anfield man, on paper we're worth something here but it invariably always goes tits up like
  16. if pardew doesn't go 4-5-1 here with ba alone up top there's something very fucking wrong like, or he's an idiot we need to pack the midfield a bit, support the full backs with hard workers like obertan/jonas and then having HBA in the team would give us a much greater chance of retaining possession and moving it up the pitch in a structured fashion rather than hoying it up and watching it bounce back at us wait, wtf am i talking about, it's best all the way isn't it?
  17. bolton 100m or something in debt i was reading? that doesn't end fucking well does it...gonna take a few more gary cahill's to balance those books
  18. suarez banned for our game? glorious, beating these fuckers now would make my year man
  19. Someone on here said we don't do loans now because they're perceived as a waste of money, no idea how true that is. have we ever really done a good loan? but yeah, that assessment makes sense imo...i can see the likes of dekka thinking it's bad business sense
  20. well, this is the crux isn't it, the real bone of contention? Which positions would you say we desperately need to fill in the squad? I'm sure most of us on here would come up with the same two first. it depends what our objectives are, that's the point i'm making..... Ah, I see. The point I was sort of making though was that surely every team looks to progress to the next level, whatever that is for each club. For us, I would say we are a comfortable mid-table / upper mid-table team, with the next step being top 6. Unfortunately progress usually means some sort of investment, which I don't think we will be getting. If we aren't looking to progress, what's the point in turning up? we've made progress with negative investment in the last year what can i say? yeah i'd like a better RB than simpson (5m?), a better RW than obertan (7m?), a better backup striker than best (10m?), a CB to cover taylor's absence (8m?) there's 30m right off the bat and we'd not be guaranteed to finished in europe by any means with that imo, never mind CL
