preferred the @ St. James Park myself, always thought it'd be better to keep it in there than this type of shit (which i agree to some extent is largely inevitable) arseholes mind, utter arseholes

man the English just love getting fucked over these days don't they?
-
great quotes from Pardew, right on the money in everything he says be interesting to see what happened if he was asked for an interview, minds have a habit of being changed quickly....keegan anyone?

can't believe i'm wading in here like but disagree Mick, i remember at the time thinking HBA should have played the ball in behind watching it live look at the 2 photos there as well, ba is behind distin and sees where he assumes ba was going to run, in the later photo you see ba has started to take advantage of that and is headed into open space away from distin which he can't see, if the ball was over the top and angled towards the right corner flag ba would have been in imo what the pics also show is it all happened in a heartbeat and the lad is clearly not yet fully up to speed so there's no way he should be hung out to dry for it either

agree, how old is redknapp? and i wonder how serious his heart s*** is.... It baffles me when people go to the effort to ask this type of thing on a forum. Just type his fucking name into Google. 64 it is then...Google, thanks for that i'll keep an eye on it for the future, seems kind of useful
-
jesus i'm not saying he will or should get the England job but it'd be remiss not to consider it a possibility...personally i think if the redknapp heart shit is real they shouldn't be going anywhere near him at that sort of age like

who else could be in the frame then if the FA want an English manager to replace cappello, other than redknapp that is? he'd not be my choice of manager, but then steve mclaren wouldn't have been either tbh and i don't remember mclaren having as good a PL record as pardew has right now with us
-
you're ignoring the fact that the FA are almost certain to go english when cappello fucks off, once you factor that in there aren't many better candidates assuming pardew manages to maintain upward progress as regards the why would he take it? it is one of the most poisoned jobs in football but it's all about the rewards for the person that succeeds, financial but mainly otherwise

bit late but it's getting towards that time of year, definite contender for post of the year.

instead of who, one of the strikers and a five man midfield?

West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll
mrmojorisin75 replied to Pilko's topic in Football
It's a ridiculous argument that I thought only Liverpool fans were stupid enough to buy. By this logic, if Ashley had accepted £20million for Carroll, Liverpool would have sold Torres for £35million, despite Ambramovich being willing to part with more and therefore screwing themselves out of £15million for no particular reason. what? -

i can't understand for the life of me what everyone's on about here liverpool said we'll sell you torres for whatever carroll costs + 15m (to pay off Suarez i believe) and Chelsea agreed, what's to argue about? Chelsea presumably had a limit they were also willing to pay for Torres so if liverpool had said aguero + 15m i'm sure it wouldn't have happened -
nah hire some spanish speakers in england to translate the contract and send it over by carrier pigeon or summik instead as i said before too, even if he's dealing with lower league SA players all the time how many of them would it take to match a deal like colo is supposedly being offered? in the real world everything would literally be dropped in a heartbeat and he'd be on the next plane mind he looks like a busy bloke: http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/marcelo-lombilla/details/berater_509.html

f***ing hell man, that just sounds so contrived and made up it really has to be true - otherwise no f***er would believe that a football agent who (given that description of his talents and capabilities) can not have a bigger client than colo wouldn't be on the first f***ing plane to sort out a new contract offer after his client publicly stated he wanted to stay and considering he'll get 10% of millions of pounds for it jesus christ still......better than it being willie mckay though. well true i mean though, flogging a dead horse, who THE FUCK is difficult to reach in the year 2011? i could get hold of my mother on her mobile in less than a minute from 6,000 miles away and these cunts can't get hold of a professional footballers agent? if they didn't have so much good grace for the start to the season i'd be calling bullshit on this they should call up the lad who went around everywhere with Tino to do the translating

colo's already said he wants to stay right? so they're saying it's not less than his current wage and is long term at his age only way this goes wrong is if he's a greedy cunt

Pardew has said HBA hasn't got any enthusiasm to play on the wing or words similar to that. WHen he brought Sammy off that pretty much confirmed he won't be using him there for me. i think our system of play relies heavily on the wingers tracking back and helping the full backs, you're not gonna get a lot of that out of HBA lets be honest probably a fair amount of pragmatism from pards
-
i'd not play him away just yet but having seen the last 2 home games i think there's clearly an argument building that although we've beat everton and wigan they played the better football imo and could have easily taken more than a point, both of them (wigan perhaps less so) people don't like it on here but sometimes you have to look past results, we're playing a lot of long/direct stuff at home and relying on our defence to stand firm when we're under the cosh, which was for quite a period of time yesterday it's all well and good blaming the missing players for that but that's part and parcel of a squad game, i'd prefer pardew to be a little proactive in home games now and start with HBA, away games no issue with him being on the bench
-
did very, very well imo - looks like he could cover the tiote role for me

Newcastle United vs Everton - 05/11/11 @ 12:45pm - live on Sky

best thing would be for us to be 2-3 up at half time and throw him on with no pressure, realise that's a bit of a daft thing to say as being 2-3 up is obviously the best thing -
always comes down to this in the end doesn't it, all or nothing? as i said earlier on for me loosening the purse strings could mean spending 2m net in january to strengthen the squad to push on into europe this season (i.e. pay a fee for someone coming out of contract or whatever instead of waiting 'til July) i don't see that's living in cloud cuckoo land at all, as you said yourself businessmen should be looking beyond 12 month periods so to use madras's figures from the 5m "profit" you could invest 1m in new players on the assumption that recouping your monies can be a gradual process that goes hand in hand with team building and success on the pitch - 4m paid off against the losses with modest investment might see you make 10m "profit" the following season partially as a result of the 1m spent

cheers teach wasn't one of the published aims to get the club breaking even? it's very clear what you're getting at but what it implies is that the club can/should only outlay a net financial loss on transfer fees once (a) MA has recouped all the money he's spent over and above the purchase price and (b) there is little or no chance that the club will once again make a loss in any future season within a reasonable time frame that's not living in the real world man
