  1. that'd be another £100m on top of what they've already spent? they'd be expecting results from that like
  2. aye was gonna post earlier that as conspicuous as our lack of arrivals has been so has the lack of departures fucking lunatics are going to play a squad full of the same cunts that relegated us again with a shit manager again good
  3. aye they've not come close to replacing lukaku like, massive issue for them but if they get the keane lad then they could solve that bolasie injury a disaster for them as well
  4. aye if we're back to Darlow we might as well sell everyone now and save the wages for a year and look for a champo push
  5. maybe they leave a set period between cancellations/non renewals in case people change their minds
  6. same, i think silva has a lot to do this season or they should be moving on again
  7. They've clearly spent weeks coming up with something that is vaguely believable when coupled with Ashley's "oim just a normal flawed bloke" routine. Not surprising if it's swallowed by those only keeping one eye on the situation, but utterly depressing that there are actual fans of the club that stlll haven't realised the only consistent behaviours with this bloke are deceit and self interest. Any excuse not to make a difficult decision. Agree. I'm so so far away from the train of thought of those people that I find myself wanting the club to burn tbh. People paying Ashley are paying to destroy the club, so they deserve to see it disintegrate before their very eyes. It's what they've paid for after all. it's a bit like brexit and politics in general these days imo - there's still a sizeable group of the country (and our fanbase) that take what comes out of traditional media sources as gospel and don't question it in the slightest...they're not analytical in nature etc. so if a daily mail journalist has done an interview with ashley they'll assume he's done what's needed and read it with an open mind it's why everything is fucked, this football club as much as everything else
  8. lord assume you spotted the talent in sean before he broke through and were singing his praises before anyone else knew who he was?
  9. just don't want to pay for it or do what is require to achieve it cunt
  10. really, really hope rafa chooses to respond to this ashley pish with the keegan constructive dismissal quote about continually lying and nothing else
  11. we're getting him like, it's a carr/nixon/agent thing 100% fully expect him to sign
  12. is there any chance he left the atmosphere?
  13. we're not gonna get them, and gayle doesn't provide them
  14. Overrated and spends half the game diving. A record of 1 goal in 7 9 and 10 goals the last 2 seasons. He's an exciting player who is getting better and better. i like him at palace but it's hard to see how he steps up to fit into a side that's going places imo
  15. Could live with that. Sorensen to step up as third choice to replace Joselu. same make sense seeing as gayle is not up to it
  16. would be the right move as well, sorensen as backup...gayle can't cut it in the PL, then again he's english so PFMSteve might have other ideas
  17. if we sign that marrony lad, or indeed another striker at all, i would imagine gayle will be punted to pay for it at least in part
  18. erm, we've spent 10 years pussyfooting around them man and the penny hasn't dropped wrt ashley...what the f*** do you think it's gonna take to get them realise what is needed? and it is needed It won't ever drop but we have to keep being nice about it tho
  19. erm, we've spent 10 years pussyfooting around them man and the penny hasn't dropped wrt ashley...what the fuck do you think it's gonna take to get them realise what is needed? and it is needed
  20. great to see other clubs being run so will with rich AF owners
  21. that's clearly nonsense, in terms of simple passing shelvey is the most talented at the club and probably up there in the league problem is positioning, decision-making, defensive contribution and workrate etc.....i'd rather have Ki in the team for these reasons schar and lejeune are superb passers for their position though, no doubt about it
  22. I am an outsider so feel free to disregard this post. Couple of points. Why is he is NUFC through and through a criteria to fill the most the important position in a 100 million dollar operation? This point is not just at Newcastle but at other clubs also. It also seems to be a common line to justify PFM appointments at other places. I get it if the person has a unique connection, best placed to incorporate a style of football due to his past connection with the club like Guardiola or Keegan. Or the person can use his legendary status to make changes which other people cant, like Zidane. But otherwise, does it matter? Especially with someone as shit as a resume as Bruce. I am dreading the time, the calls for Gerrard to take over, start in the media. If he is definitely NUFC through and through and has the club at heart, why did he manage Sunderland? It is not like he needed the money? He had opportunities to manage NUFC in the past which he turned down. Steve Bruce might have a soft spot for NUFC, but let us be honest. He is here because at this stage in his career, no other club with even half the profile of NUFC in the premier league would touch him with a bargepole. That is the only reason. He probably cannot believe the fact that he is at a PL club. He also knows that even if he fails miserably, as long as he is being discussed in the media (which your club will ensure due to its profile), PFMs are like whac-a-mole, will pop up somewhere. never seen a bad post from this lad, always on the fucking money
