  1. And possibly the right league... He’s a 1 goal per 2.5 matches in the PL striker - in a team that play a system not suiting him. He’s young as well. Maybe not a striker for the better of the PL teams, but Certainly PL quality.
  2. As someone over the age of 25, what does that mean ? It's a quote mistakenly attributed to Marilyn Monroe being used as a meme.
  3. I know prices are mental but we will not get £30m for Mitro ffs. Bought him for £13 million and his value has not exactly decreased. I concur, but we will not get £30m for Mitro. There is literally no chance, I'm sorry. Vehemently disagree given that we got £35 million for Carroll before prices even began to get as ridiculous as today. Assuming he does well at the WC his price would increase even more. The only reason we wouldn't be able to get £30m for him under those circumstances would be the incompetence of our club negotiating with other clubs, which to be fair, is very possible. Carroll was scoring goals in the Premier, and at the time looked unplayable. While I understand player values have rocketed since then, I still think Mitro will need to show some form in the Premier to generate interest at that sort of money. Tom Cairney is rated at £20m+ without a single PL appearance. Strikers are usually more expensive, a striker with a decent PL goal ratio is bound to cost more. Anything less than £25m-£30m would be pathetic. He’s still only 23. Slimani was bought for £30m with nothing but a few goals in a piss poor Portuguese league. No one paid the £25m for Cairney did they? I'm not saying we shouldn't slap a £30m price tag on Mitro, just that I can't see anyone paying it at this point. Why wouldn’t they? See Hans’ post above. He’s increased in value as he’s increased in performance/ability. Name me a young international striker in as good form as Mitro that isn’t worth £30m+. You can continue to dislike him but he continues to score goals and perform well both at club and international level. Even a half decent Championship player goes for £15m+ these days. It's got nothing to do with disliking him, I just don't think a club will pay £30m for him because of what he's doing in the championship. Hans doesn't think so either unless I'm reading that wrong. Nobody is saying that is the case, it's just that what he is doing in the championships supports what he has already done at international level and in the prem. He's doing well in the championship, what I'm questioning is how that will make anyone pay £30m for him. [n]His record in the Premier wasn't good[/b], not sure it was any better than Gayle's tbh. International level is decent, but again, in the Premier he's up against defenders who are used to dealing with his physicality. He might well do fine in the Premier next season, just think there's going to remain a question mark until he's done it, so I can't see any team spending £30m. Fulham might give us £15-20m if they get promoted. I think we'll get £20-25m if it's Fulham, or another PL team doing the bidding but I can't see how anyone will think £30m is worth a punt when they know he's not wanted by Rafa as well. Plus there's all the questionable shit he's done on the pitch and lack of impact at PL level. Would be some kind of mad cunt to be paying that kind of money. 1 goal every 2.5 games in the PL for Mitro. Meanwhile, Gayle is 1 goal every 3.5 games this season. Rondon, an aging forward that people seem to want on here, has 1 goal per 2.38 games in the PL. Sturridge the past two seasons has been a 1 in 2.84 striker, seemingly living forever on the one amazing season he had in 13/14 and the fact he's English.
  4. Bar Rafa, he's my favourite currently active manager by far

Still 97% certain to go down according to fivethirtyeight.
  6. Don't know why, but the "beep beep" killed me
  7. People just don't keep up to date with other teams I reckon. In their eyes we'll be a promoted team that invested less than the two other promoted teams.
  8. I'll happily admit he's improved massively since Christmas and has played a big part in our good from. Would still want to upgrade though.
  9. Never understood the fascination of match worn shirts unless you actually played in the game and exchanged it for memories / keep it for memories. Would much rather have a brand new shirt than a shirt drenched in someone elses sweat.

I'll bet you £100 right now Mitro doesn't go for more than £30m. Or a tenner. Whatever you want but it's not happening. £100 it is Void if he stays, naturally.

  12. Fucking hell. Man United, Mourinho, and a squad worth over a billion spawning their way to a win against a team resting players ahead of a Champions League match - underdogs. You might want to examine your biases there? Serious question, did the Man U squad cost more than the City one? I'm completely bias, I fucking hate Mourinho, Man United, and their fans for exactly this sort of thing. Calling them underdogs in any situation is insane, their funds are as unlimited as anyone's. Its not insane at all. Man City are runaway winners of this league with a team assembled for (hundreds of billions) millions. So Man U have an expensive squad too, and I thought Mourinho got it completely and utterly wrong in the reverse fixture, he was made to look stupid with the tactics employed considering, but they were underdogs heading into this game by the sheer stats of this years league. I'm not so much interested in history but the now. In that context Utd were the underdogs and I was pleased to see any kind of dent in Man City's record this season. The only exception to my rules would be if Newcastle were involved. That's my bias. That's crackers logic considering your username. Underdogs because they've been shit considering the endless amount of money they've spent on some of the world's best players, coming up against another rich team that rested most of its best players. As underdog stories go, it's like Rocky being based on the Floyd Mayweather story. I need that to be the next Rocky film
  13. Current table: Remaining fixtures: April 15th: Newcastle - Arsenal April 23rd: Everton - Newcastle April 28th: Newcastle - West Bromwich May 5th: Watford - Newcastle May 9th: Tottenham - Newcastle May 13th: Newcastle - Chelsea
  14. He's good like, but I would feel bad for Dummett, he's been superb with Kenedy on our left hand side. I'd not feel bad at all. Sessegnon is the future.

  16. Their owner has a net worth of £5 billion.
  17. They'd be mental not to, absolutely mental. Him and Sessegnon have been on fire since they got him, you'd fancy them in the prem together. Well i'm sure we'll make them pay silly money for Mitro. And their owner isn't Mike Ashley so I'd imagine if the price is £20m they'll simply pay it. Only £20m? Are you insane? Given the price inflations we should at least be looking at Carroll money.
  18. "how many games home or away do you go ? Easy not to moan, when you don't turn up week in week out. " Nice to see "You don't go to games? Your opinion doesn't matter!" isn't just localized to some of our fanbase
