Not really, otherwise you'd actually just have LA and NY nick all the good players and it'd be a two team league for real.
  6. Didn't even know I missed Carroll, but watching this match fills me with sadness, not joy.
  7. Watching the 5-1... The complete and utter joy the players had beating them knowing how much it mattered. The piles of players on Nolan.

  9. I'd not be opposed to a third Keegan reign under new ownership.
  10. Could be worthy of its own thread if doing it properly in the sense of participants joining before it "starts" and potentially as madras says have so-so much to bet with within the league for a period until the next period, thus finding the best gambler through the profits made from the starting position?
  11. Highest % return based on more than 15 bets or something? What about people who like accs more than singles? So many variables.
  12. The poor, poor cunt "Alright Bafe, get on the edge of the six yard box and wait for this lad to head it back across the box.. 0% of the time it works every time." http://images.footballfancast.com/players/300px/newcastle/Mike-Williamson.jpg
  13. How would there be a winner of the league though? Some bet more than others and so on. If it's just keeping track successful bets and/or total winnings that'd be easier to keep track of.
  14. Pretty much what Cuba said tbh. Mix basically told the press upon his "official" joining of the US before the Gold Cup that the Norwegian national set-up was comperative to how facist and communist states used to do sports.
  15. Many, many northerners have "escaped" south as well actually, mainly with work as the main reason but there are lots down here nonetheless. And in terms of stuff most people like to do in their 20s - eating, drinking, generally getting entertained in one way or another - there is simply lots more to do down here and you therefore don't find yourself in the same old places. Not slagging off Newcastle because I love it and will go back when we're settling down but London gets a lot of stick simply because it's London IMO. Capitol related anger tbh. It's prevalent in more countries. Norwegians not livining in Oslo hates Oslo, for no good reason really. Same goes with most Swedes I know regarding Stockholm as well. If you're not from there or have lived there you generelly grow up being told what a shit place it is filled with this and that and so on. Then you also get the "natives" of capitols hating everyone not living there for no good reason. Basically people in the city rhinking everyone not there are backwards cunts and everyone not in the city thinking everyone there are cunts.
  16. McCarthy's much better, man. No need to be negative. Scottish doesn't count as home grown now? Ridiculous. It's not based on nationality its based on how long you spend at a club before your 21st Birthday. This doesn't count for clubs from a different association (aka jockland) Magnus Wolff Eikrem is a funny example of how retarded that rule can be. He's Norwegian, went to Man Utd when hewas 16 and upon his return to Norwegian football at 20 he couln't be counted as home grown as he'd not played three years in Norway between 16 and 21 regardless of having spent 16 years in Norway and being a citizen.
