  1. Just to make it sting a bit more, the Lillestrøm goal was an obvious offside with as much as three of their players off.
  2. I have faith in the double still, both Rosenborg and Haugesund have been better in the second half this season.
  3. Seems a bit odd tbh, thinking a team that can't win away from home will be the ones to end Haugesunds now year long run of being undefeated at their home ground. Not to mention backing another team that can't win away from home against a team in good form (Aafk v. Molde). Wouldn't have risked my money on something crazy like that, but then again, the football is round and everything can happen. Best of luck, for obvious reasons I don't hope you win () but if I don't win I hope you get lucky.
  4. Got £10 on my Dare to Dream myself. As well as £25 on my Alternate Quadruple and £100 on my Double.

  6. What do you think :/ It'd potentially be a viable option if it was in an actual sponsorship kind of way, i.e. they put up the £7000 Viga deposit letting all proceeds from the very beginning go to the SBR foundation. (I take it we're all in agreement that if this happens they'll get the money, regardless of them endorsing it or not? Yeah?)
  7. Any ideas? What number did he have in his playing years?
  8. Hope so Kaizero is there any chance we can see the email sent/recieved from the SBRF? Not until after a final decision is given, wouldn't feel right to me as it's still an ongoing process and it'd not look good if I reposted the e-mail exchange on here and they got news of it.
  9. Well, option 2 with the Nike shirt I think could work without the endorsement, as it should be possible to get a reseller to not do the shirts in bulk and the proceeds would still be donated to the foundation.
  10. I doubt it. Will be checked into before anything happens though, and if it is it shouldn't be too hard to get someone on here who's good at design to make something new up resembling both the coat of arms and our club's logo history?
  11. Back-up ideas at the moment: 1) Try to go through with Viga and most likely spectacularily fail as I'm uncertain anyone would be interested in being part of getting it started without the SBR foundation endorsement. 2) Try to get something done through Nike or a reseller regarding that shirt everyone is on about, which probably is the most viable back-up option. Both options would be without a "sponsor" and would have the coat of arms as badge. Could be another sponsor if anyone has any other worthwile local Newcastle charities, but I doubt there is?
  12. They won't see anything before Monday regardless, so sometime during the weekend. And it'll be through e-mail sending them said business proposal so they can look through it at their own leisure.
  13. We can give them all the money we want. It's about them endorsing the project and their logo being displayed on the shirt. Like you have already said, their worry is that it is an anti Ashley protest, we have to get the message across that this isn't the case. This. I really would love this to happen. When did they say they wanted to talk in more detail? Just a simple asking for a thorough business proposal rather than a general description of an idea and process before they could decide if they could make an exception from their "no commercial ventures" rule.
  14. I'm considering it. Won't start properly thinking of back-up plans before there's a final decision made by the SBR foundation though.
  15. We can give them all the money we want. It's about them endorsing the project and their logo being displayed on the shirt, which would be pivotal to "sell the idea" to anyone considering one.
  16. Detailed sales plan. More in-depth analysis of the market. More in-depth description of the project, the thought behind it, why it's being done and more along those lines as I think it's mostly that they fear it may be seen as anti-ashley/current Newcastle regime that's keeping them off, which is fair enough as I understand them not wanting any trouble with the club. And even with this not being an anti-anything shirt, it could still be seen as one by the club. We'll be talking more though, I'll remain positive as long as there's not a definite "no" out there.
  17. There's always been a poll in the shirt thread, and there won't be a poll between suggest already existing mock-ups as their made from pre-existing templates from both Puma and Nike. Unless this was a jibe about something else, which in that case probably is fair enough.
  18. SBR foundation has gotten back to me now, and their first answer is not a good one as they say they're not really keen on commercial projects at this time. But they would like to discuss the matter in even further detail before their final decision and there'll be discussed a commercial participators agreement just in case. I'll give you all further detail on everything as soon as there's a final decision. Though at the moment it's not looking too good, but there's still hope.
  19. I'll try to get in touch with someone who knows at Nike tomorrow. Any aid in finding contact info for such a person would be welcomed, not much help on the Nike site tbh.
  20. Now that's nice. Still think it should be unique though, I'd want to be paying for more than just a shirt in black and white tbh. Though it's a good option to have in the backhand to be able to do something with a template should the Viga deal prove too hard to fund.
  21. While I see your point, part of the plan here is having the SBR foundation logo on the shirt, and possibly the Newcastle town coat of arms. If we were to buy those plain shirts for £10 and flog them for £20 without anything to put them apart from the £10 version, people would just buy the £10 version regardless of the other £10 going to charity. Whilst through Viga we get a kit that's with both a badge and a "sponsor" for about the same price (£10), with approx £10 (off £20) going to charity from each shirt. It's about getting something unique and supporting a charity tbh. Obviously it needs to look good to succeed, mind. I'm sure you could get logos printed (or embroidered) onto a shirt like that. If you did enough quantity it would probably work out cheapish, and I don't mean £7k worth. It's a possibility, no doubt. But it would have to be through a reseller, or Nike themselves, as fuck if I'll be sat around embroiding shit onto every shirt. It wouldn't be unique though (i.e. our design), which is a minus.
