  3. Carra: Steven, are you pondering what I'm pondering? Steven: I think so Carra... but do I really need 2 tongues? http://www.stuffwelike.com/stuffwelike/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/pinky_and_the_brain.jpg

  5. Lionel Messi 23 years old Argentinian 5 ft 7 in (1.69 m) Winger/Striker 144 games, 88 goals for Barcelona. Cost - £120m? Wages £3m a week?
  6. Going by the biggest bookies we're going to be number nine this season apparenty.
  7. That's because you are materialistic - you think such possessions can bring you happiness. They can't. I lol'd. Poor people's way of trying to remain positive. "All we need is love, even if we live in a box. I'd not trade this for anything, especially not a massive house with heating and food on my table whenever I want to."
  8. One billion pounds a week. http://coto2.files.wordpress.com/2009/08/dr-evil2.jpg Beat me to it.

So if we are to believe the press (which we shouldn't, but still.) Forest declined a £1.5m "derisory" bid in January, but accept a £1m bid now? Bit strange, or? Think it's a good signing btw. Not in a thinking it's a good player without having seen him in more than one match kind of way, but in a "we really need to strenghten/cover that position" kind of way. Hopefully he'll prove us all wrong and be good enough for the Prem.
  10. Since when did we need a valid reason? That's why we hve scapegoats, man!
  11. How does being born, moving to France the same year and living there for six before settling in Germany with his family and living there for the rest of his life, and learning to play football there, not make him eligible to play for Germany? Passing the Parky test somewhat as well with his family on his father's side being of German descent.
  12. http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/1076/awesomedls.png Canny That's £189.8 from £2 btw, before anyone thinks it's £1898. Also picked up a one treble and one quadruple today, making a tidy £310 profit all in all on the Norwegian matches, and then another £92 with Nadal winning. Good day today. (Since I'm not a fan of posting winning bets after it's happened, here's screenshots:)
  13. Bochum have a history of horrid kits, though. They're just doing what everyone else is doing, going retro. (Joke may or may not be obvious.)
  14. Not every country is a part of the European Union, and god forbid my country ever will be. Why not just call ourselves The United States of Europe and get it all over with? I mean, it's all about continents after all, so let's just remove the nation bit from the equation. Fuck me this is all some bullshit. Let's all support Sunderland in the FA Cup if we go out before them, yay! They're pretty much closest after all.
  15. amazing comment Amazingly true comment. Amazing that any European could say that tbh. Beggars belief. I don't class myself as a continent. I class myself as a nationality. I couldn't give a toss about which continent the WC winner is from when it's not my country. Sure, I have some countries I'd rather see win a WC than others. But neither of those are from Europe. Well, thinking about it that is wrong, I don't really mind Sweden doing well. In general I have a strong dislike for most European national football teams.
  16. Right, the Norwegian season is starting up again after the WC break, so here's my take on the matches for the ones that's interested. Keep in mind the league status quo tends to get mixed up after the summer break, so I'd not advise putting too large sums before we're three-four matches into the fall season as upsets are more likely after a months break. Odds are from Unibet at the time this is posted. 5pm Kick-Offs: Haugesund - Start 1.90 - 3.55 3.75 Hønefoss - Strømsgodset 2.10 - 3.45 - 3.25 Kongsvinger - Brann 2.75 - 3.40 - 2.40 Tromsø - Aalesund 1.60 - 3.75 - 5.40 Viking - Odd Grenland 1.90 - 3.50 - 3.85 7pm Kick-Off: Lillestrøm - Vålerenga 2.05 - 3.40 - 3.40 Monday: Stabæk - Molde 1.75 - 3.65 - 4.40 Double: Haugesund Viking £10 @ 3.61 returns £36.1 Treble: Haugesund Viking Brann £10 @ 8.66 returns £86.6 Quadruple: Haugesund Viking Brann Tromsø dnb £10 @ 10.40 returns £104 Dare to Dream: Strømsgodset Aalesund dnb Brann £10 @ 31.59 returns £315.9
  17. I'll never stop complaining about that. Was the only incentive I had left for wanting one of the remaining teams to win.
  18. amazing comment Amazingly true comment.
  19. Shame for Paraguay. Thought they deserved to win this. I still can't get over not getting to see Larissa Riquelme run naked celebrating Paraguays WC win, though. What a loss for the world.
  20. This WC is over now there'll be no more Larissa Riquelme.
  21. No naked running Larissa Riquelme now then.
