To be fair, the way people are going on with their Martins love, 7 in 19 isn't really that good. Two came in the same match as well. But they also got us three points. If he'd been more effective in more games, like "world-class strikers" like most on here say Martins is, we'd have had much more points as well.

Ironic username, considering he's just had a massive fail.

I hope Ranger impresses.

He had an infection, he's not injured. He was just sick and unaware of it before the match. Really? He got taken off after a prett bad shot to the ribs. "Lovendkrands had problems with his breath already early on in the match." "After the crash, it got worse (with Malouda). " "According to the doctors, Lovendkrands had an infection in his body already before the match.

Imagine having someone who can actually run in midfield, the mind boggles. we have the makings of a decent team, with 2 new cms a striker a winger and a centrehalf we'd be able to challenge for the top half witha good manager in charge we'd need to spend about 25m though. I think with decent coaching colo will come good but that remains to be seen Harper Beye Bassong New Jose New Barton New Jonas Oba New It highly annoys me that Keegan managed to pull the plug on Wise's Skjelbred travel, but not on Nacho's. Imagine if it'd been the other way around, fuck me we'd have someone never stopping to run, going forward, able to string passes together and not have a phobia from shooting from long range.

If that's not shopped I'll jump in the Tyne naked doing a cover of Gazza's cover of Fog on the Tyne.

LOL @ SkySports for editing direct quotes to Danish and Norwegian newspapers "It was hugely embarrassing for her to see me that way." How the fuck is it embarrassing for a wife to see her husband in great pain and not getting to breathe?
-
Yup looked in real distress. Wish him well. Decent signing he's been. Anyone got a source on that coma rumour? Norwegian newspaper, but direct quotes: http://www.vg.no/sport/fotball/engelsk/artikkel.php?artid=541254 "When I was behind the goal and couldn't breathe, I thought I was going to die. It was a horrid experience." "After the crash, it got worse and when I was carried off, I couldn't breathe. I was desperate after air and had great pains in the entire body." "I had no feeling in my fingers, and I got a panic attack in a desperate attempt to breathe." "My wife came in when I came to, it was incredible discomfort for her to see me in that state." "I cannot remember how long I was unconscious." "It went three hours before my breathing was back to normal." "They say it's not a lasting problem, so now I am just going to relax a couple of days before I go back to training." "Football is no longer the most important for us."
-
Aye, apparently he thought he was going to die when he was sat next to the field and couldn't breathe. Quite a scare.

To be fair, this thread headed into serious discussion about Ranger, with the added odd in between a long while ago.

I once watched football from 10am to 4am. Some on the telly, some online on naughty naughty stream sites. Fucking hardcore that.

I've personally never said I'd completely understand what Keegan meant for the club in 92, mainly because I was 2 years old, but also because I didn't live it. I won't say that it doesn't mean more to "native" Geordies to beat Sunderland, as the rivalry isn't lived by us not in Newcastle. That's a fair point, but it still shouldn't mean that I today, have any less affection for the club than others because I was "unlucky" enough to be 2 years old when Keegan took over and born in another country. Newcastle have tons of UK fans growing up in many other places than Newcastle, and not being born there. I don't see people going mental and saying they'll never be real supporters. The whole "foreigners isn't real supporter" arguments stinks, mainly because of all the holes in the "natives" argument, and the general thickness of these members on most other subjects as well. It's a damning indictment for "true" supporters as the "native and true" supporters on this forum generally seem to be agreed upon by most members as being the thickest ones and spouting the most shite in any topic on here, but when they start their "foreigners suck, lolz" campaign, suddenly they're no longer thick and spouting shite. It's quite annoying in the long run, and really shouldn't be something that should be discussed on this board. We're all supporters of Newcastle United. There's no need to start picking on others simply because they were not born in Newcastle. Also, I do agree that chicago_shearer's assesment of Keegang being the reason we're in the bottom now is pretty much wank, yes. No need to go on about him being a foreigner though, we all spout shite and nonsense from time to time. All of us.

I lol'd. I lol'd hard. One of the most nonsensical statements I've ever seen on this forum, and that says a lot.

Wouldn't it be Solskjaer he'd have to sit with to discuss that? I don't think he was conducting negotiations during the match Probably managed to contain himself until the game was done. Dowie: "I want that player." Solskjaer: "That's Ronaldo." Dowie: "Who?" Solskjaer: "Cristiano Ronaldo?" Dowie: ""
-
Yeah, f*** me what do I know. Although you do have SBR calling Keegan yesterday's man as well, but he's just a mouthpiece for Ashley as well. Poor old King Kev, misunderstood by everyone. I see it's "flog the foreigners" day again on N-O. It makes me feel like a jew being chased by nazis under WW2 when they start going on spouting their shite.
-
Wouldn't it be Solskjaer he'd have to sit with to discuss that? I wouldn't want a member of the Newcastle staff discussing anything with him, unless he was asking him what he was up to later so he could arrange for Rob Lee and Aaron Hughes to go and greet him with a couple of sawn-offs.
-
Difference between a relegation battle team and a high flying team though. For some reason experience is the only thing that works in a relegation battle, or so they say

I wish I got good luck when looking at myself in the mirror.

Aye, hat-trick he did.
