You mean the well known term "Fergie Time", obviously.

His threads are always crap.

Carew is class, what the fuck was O'Neill smoking playing Heskey in front of him for a while?

I seriously hope Aston Villa will either have secure their CL spot by the time we play them, or have failed on reaching it and just have secured the 5th spot. That way they'll have nowt to play for and we can do the sexy time over them.
-
You're the sexy one.

I lol'd at "Better than Beckham" when Seattle subbed Ljungberg.

He's black and plays for Newcastle United. You just know Arsenal will be "in" for him soon. No racism intended.
-
Outside the UK (Scandinavia Canal +), I think Newcastle have only been off the screen for 4 or 5 matches this season. Spurs are rarely on unless they play the "top four" or us.
-
Why not judge on his past performances, even pre-Newcastle? It's obvious he wasn't caring anymore, nobody was caring anymore in our side before Shearer. We were destined for the drop the way Hughton and Calderwood were running things, and if I was Owen I'd be looking at my options very closely come the end of the season. Though now, with Shearer. Things are different. Regardless of his half-hearted performances as of late, I'd have a celebratory wank if Owen signed an extension. People are unfairly judging him on his gigantic wage, but it's not his fault Freddy Shepherd found it necessary to throw money the club did not really have at Owen. But under all his injury troubles, there's one of the world's greatest strikers. And we have him in our team, and Shearer will get the best out of him, I am sure of that.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Michael Owen is not a bad player, rather the contrary. But he needs a team around him that can provide him with the needed chances to create goals. The man can't do it all by himself, there's 9 other outfield players around him out there, you'd think at least one could set him up from time to time. If Owen stays and we stay up, we have something to build the team around. And that's by far a good thing, as long as he can remain fit.
-
Arsenal want him, according to the man himself. They seem to "want" all our whiny players though. Strange that.
-
At least they score goals.

I'd not be against an Owen under Shearer.

I actually agree with that. I love Oba but I'm getting increasingly frustrated with his inconsistency. The lads got a fantastic pair of springs in his legs, blistering pace, two good feet, a thunderbolt of a shot and a good header. So, those said ingredients are a fantastic combination to have a top class striker- but the more I see Martins play, the less I think he is, or will be a top class striker. Like, how many times have we seen Oba use his pace to get in behind defenders and set himself through on goal? Not near enough. Some might argue that we dont give him good enough service but I'd disagree. If he had a real football brain then he'd do this more often and he'd be unstoppable! Now, he can come up with those moments of glory when your least expecting it and win you the game but those moments are few and far between. I'm not going to go into a big fuck off rant about the lad now, I'll do that some other time, but I do agree with David Icke. Aye. Wholeheartedly agree, just check my recent posts in "So... Martins then?".

You must have posted this after my reply. I would like to see Owen as far up the field as possible & if he is offside more often than Pipo so be it, let Oba go deep as he has the legs to motor up the pitch, Owen playing deep leaves Oba isolated. Aye, I edited, but it was before I noticed your reply. And that could work, Owen shouldn't be tracking back as much as he does at current. But I still think Martins would need to become less selfish when on the ball, and look for options rather than appear to think "I have the ball. ... SHOOOOOOOOOOOOT." for either himself or Owen to be more effective in their partnership.

I don't agree. It's not about how good they are individually, it's about how good they should be together. And Owen and Carroll seems to have a better "connection" than Owen and Martins. Which I'm sure could provide more goals from Owen. Then again a 4-3-3 would solve all these problems with Owen and Carroll being able to link up and act as our proper forwards, whilst Martins can do his usual wandering about doing nothing for the team and having a moment of glory now and then. Carroll is naff, came on & spent more times down the flanks than in the middle. I cant see Al going with 433. As we are a shite TEAM we are going to need INDIVIDUALITY to get us out of trouble. The problem is our individuality is complete shite as well. Jonas can beat as many players as he wants, but he still can't get the ball to other players or into the net. Martins the same. Owen can still do things on his own that results in a goal, but he needs un-selfish players around him for that to happen. We can't rely on Martins as a constant goalscorer, or provider. I'm not bigging up Carroll, just FYI. Just saying we should try someone else up top with Owen from the starting whistle rather than Martins. Be it Carroll, Xisco, A Youngster or hell, even Smith. I've lost my patience with Martins.

Blatantly because of Shearer and not the quality of the match.
-
And I don't think you watched the same game as the rest of us to be honest. Could be you fell asleep perhaps and had a vivid dream where Martins was king of the world?
-
It's fair enough to win headers, you still need to get them to your players. Not just head it back to the opposing team.

Hopefully it's not as serious as it first appeared.
