  2. First time I'd fucking wish Emre would go hang himself after scoring a goal. Fucking pissed off now, I just wish some Turkish fans would go punch down some people so the victory would be taken away from them.
  3. I think they're decent for their age, dunno if they'll ever grow to be PL material in the future though.
  4. Fantastic win for Rosenborg, I'm actually optimistic for them facing Chelsea at Lerkendal now. Looks like there's a bright Norwegian football-winter ahead. Skjelbred is gonna be a shining star in the future, that I'm sure of.
  5. I know, I watched it. But it's a different story at Mestalla than at Lerkendal.
  6. I'm looking forward to see if Rosenborg can manage to avoid getting a cricket scoreline against them at Mestalla tonight.
  7. Good good, it'll do for now. I still want to see him sign a new contract before going on about how much he wants to play for the club though.
  8. Rosenborg lost 0-2 to Schalke 04. Boring game in total, could've gone either way.
  9. 1. Newcastle --- 18. Manchester United 19. Chelski 20. Spurs
  10. If he wasn't Norwegian I'd well and truly hate him, but it's a sad day for the Norwegian national team. Not that we won't manage without him though, we did well when we beat Argentina last week without him anyways. So in conclusion as my opinion about him cannot be anything else than split in two, as a Norwegian; Bye bye Solskjær, good to have had you on the field for the national team! And as a Newcastle fan; Good riddance you t***! :]

    Daniel Braathen

He's rather unstable, can very from International star to a sunday league player in the same match. But he's been rather consistent for Rosenborg in the Norwegian league as of late, and I have no doubt he can become a star for any Premier League side with some proper match training at premier league level and the proper guidance.
  12. I'd sign Andreas Sørgård Olsen, he's looked class for his second division club in Norway this season and today he put up quite a performance against Norwegian top division side Vålerenga. He's got speed, apparently skill and he's still young meaning he could probably become rather good with the right coaching. And the fact that he's in such a low division in Norway means we could prolly get him for nothing and throw him out without any hassle if he couldn't prove good enough. And Rosenborg's Per Ciljan Skjelbred and Daniel Braaten I'd reckon would be good signings as well. And Bjørn Helge Riise, brother of John Arne Riise. Anyways, that's just my biased nationalistic opinion on players as It'd be the happiest day of my life if a Norwegian player put on the black and white shirt I do quite like when obscure players are signed and turn out to be class superstar players though, so yeah... I'm actually not too happy with big million signings as I'd rather have the club "create" players that would become players other big clubs would throw money at us for. I reckon that's the way we have to go this summer anyways as the already big and known players would prolly not sign for a non-europe club before we become an in-europe club.
  13. Some horrid, horrid kits here. Just... How anyone could design kits like these is beyond me. Don't they have eyes? And I think someone should start a "Best kits in football history" thread as well. I'd do it myself but I don't have 100 posts like.
  14. Things get better and better for each day passing it seems
  15. It's a givernment conspiracy! On a serious note though, I'm glad he's here. I feel he'll be a valuable asset.
  16. If Arsenal paid us a few million quid and was responsible for his wages I'd say we'd take him. Other than that, no, not even on a free.
  17. Based on the Norway - Malta game I'd rather see us sign Bjørn Helge Riise tbh.
  18. Trond Sollied :WHO? what a joke!!!! One of the most promising managers in the world at current mind you. http://www.uefa.com/footballeurope/club=2610/coach.html Trond Sollied Tuesday, 1 August 2006 Date of birth: 29 April 1959 Nationality: Norwegian Coaching career: FK Bodø/Glimt, Rosenborg BK, KAA Gent, Club Brugge KV, Olympiacos CFP Trond Sollied is a Norwegian coach with the happy knack of winning titles in whatever country he has worked in. He took over at Olympiacos CFP in the summer of 2005 after a particularly successful spell with Club Brugge KV and continued his winning ways in Athens, leading Olympiacos to the league and cup double in his first season in charge. Sollied enjoyed a relatively successful playing career, turning out for various clubs including Vålerenga IF, Rosenborg BK and FK Bodø/Glimt as well as winning 15 caps and scoring once for Norway. He began his coaching career at Bodø/Glimt in 1992 and, as player-coach, he led them to a Norwegian first division title, a second-placed finish in the top flight and third place in 1995. He was dismissed in 1996 after a dispute with the club's board and joined Rosenborg as assistant coach to Nils Arne Eggen. Rosenborg won the title that year and again in 1998 after Sollied had replaced Eggen as coach. He subsequently moved to Belgium and after a brief spell at KAA Gent joined Club Brugge KV in the summer of 2000. His coaching philosophy of a physical approach and strong team spirit proved successful with two Belgian league titles in 2003 and 2005 and two cup successes in 2002 and 2004. He left the Belgian club in somewhat acrimonious circumstances in June 2005 before promptly taking over at Olympiacos. Despite a successful first season on the domestic front, Olympiacos were unable to make an impression in the UEFA Champions League. Also apparently ranked 9th of "top ten managers" by UEFA some while ago. http://www.aftenposten.no/english/sports/article1412744.ece I'm not going against the obvious though, I can't honestly thinking any other man than Big Sam getting the job. I'm just saying that I'd rather see Sollied in that position.
  19. Nuneaton Borough's crest at least like. Not Leicester City's that's for sure.
  20. cracking player! how old? 25-ish, me thinks. I'd like him in Newcastle, though his performance does vary from world class to miserable from match to match.
  21. Here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Per_Ciljan_Skjelbred Pretty much says it all tbh. He even has CL experience at his young age, and was offered a junior contract with Liverpool at one point, but turned them down.
  22. Now, I dunno if there's loads of similar threads beyond the first page, and I honestly can't be arsed to check it out. So sorry if I'm repeating a topic. The question is simply, which players would you like to see sign for Newcastle before next season, regardless of whoever gets appointed to manger? Though, keep it realistic as to which players you'd want. And not ramble on about players we'd prolly never see on the Newcastle side until we'd be a top-four team. Personally, I don't really have a special opinion on which players I'd like to see. Though I would like it if we brought in some young great potentials as well as some already well known names. Per Ciljan Skjelbred on the Newcastle team I wouldn't mind tbh. Though he'd prolly need one or two more years of experience before getting a first-team spot.
