  1. Though, if the situation hasn't changed and the whole transfer actually does make a mockery of the London stuff, he's just another hypocritical cunt. I'm all for innocent until proven guilty though, so yeah.

    Anton?

Proof my arse. http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/index.html?year=2008&country=9 The world is bigger than America, not to mention America is younger than most countries which would make what system America uses rather... not the correct one.
  3. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1034491/United-Red-alert-Toon-tell-Owen-accept-30k-week-pay-slash.html To worry or not to worry, that is the question. Personally I'm going for the latter, I mean. If he gets bonuses which makes him earn just as much as he does currently, but has his "wage" cut with 30k a week. Where's the issue? Not to mention that this is probably nothing more than the press having run out of other stuff to write about.
  4. Polls like this should rather be named "Which club has the most supporters visiting their site voting for their own club in a poll like this rather than voting un-biased?"
  5. Annan is a good player, and would be a cheaper option. Though I disagree on him being a better option than Skjelbred at the current time. Simply because Skjelbred has more experience in matters such as European football and International football, and that in my opinion is worth the 1 or 2 million more we'd have to pay. I mean, I think (with what we have now) Skjelbred would go straight into the starting eleven. Annan probably wouldn't, not because he isn't good, but because he doesn't really have the experience for the Premier League, yet. Don't really believe the Skjelbred story is more than pure speculation though, but would be positively surprised to be wrong about it. Contract talks with Rosenborg have apparently been put on hold though, if that could mean anything.
  6. He does not play for Rosenborg. Rosenborg have big money (By Norwegian standards), the rest of the Norwegian Tippeliga outfits doesn't. (Though Brann, or Stabæk as Annan plays for, have started getting a healthy financial state as well.) And such they can turn down offers for their players unless they feel the price is right, they're not "forced" to sell their best players to get money into their club.
  7. That doesn't really apply for Rosenborg though, after so many consecutive years playing in the Champions League as they have, they have enough money in the club for them not "having" to sell to the first bidder. Though I don't think anything more than £2-4m would be necessary to buy him. And in my opinion I think he'd do very well in the Premier League, one of the more great young players in Northern Europe at the moment.
  8. If Germany had played a better defender there tonight, Spain might not have scored. If Lahm had went after Torres' knee the world would be a happier place.
  9. Though he was not shite through the entire tourney, which imo earns him a place in an EC XI.

    Rumour control

As long as he mentions a photo and does not actually show it, I wouldn't really bother giving any thought to thinking it was true.
  13. Fair enough, i've always said that people who pay for their tickets should have a voice on these matters. So, what does your dad reckon about it? Sorry mate but i pay for 80% of my away games, mammy pays for season ticket. you mean you pay with the money your folks gave you? Is this gonna go on forever? No i pay out of the money i make myself, ebay plays a big role So what does your parents think about you using their ebay account?
  14. Roma gaffer apparently likes him though: http://sport.setanta.com/en/Sport/News/Football/2008/06/11/Prem-Spalletti-on-Riise/ Personally I'd only take him as starting eleven cover, and not a guaranteed part of the starting line-up. Though if he actually comes here, I reckon the exact opposite would be what happens.
  15. Still being linked: http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/search/display.var.2312132.0.riise_the_target_after_emre_sale.php Was also just on the news here in Norway how Riise didn't rule out any move, either to another club in Europe or another English club when Newcastle and Roma were mentioned as clubs interested in him.
  16. "Arda Turan, born January 30, 1987" I'd say that makes him 21, no?
  17. According to the Norwegian expert commentator it was not offside because of the player that was off the pitch as defenders can't leave the field of play and that the refs did an excellent job.
  18. You'd think so, but it seems they've gone all Greece-like in their way of play rather than fancying their chances.
  19. It's just having a team that has everything to lose playing against a team that has everything to win will always be more entertaining for a neutral eye than a match between two sides that has everything to lose, imo that is anyways.
  20. What truly makes top level European football boring is the obvious lack of proper underdogs. I mean the teams that nobody fancies a chance in games but still gives 110% for their team trying to get a win and pushes their opponent into playing actual attractive football to make sure they don't lose to a lesser team. Even though the likes of France and Italy are great big nations, I'd think it'd be more fun to watch a final between an underdog and either France or Italy, than a final between France and Italy as both teams would be too afraid to attack in case they'd fall behind.

    Duff to Mackems?

I like how his chairs are black and white.
  22. Is it just me or does the ref look like a fat version of Collina?
  23. None But this one has Zigic in it, so it's worth a thread imo.
