FIFA looking to not allow any substitutes after 90 minutes as well as making a player being substituted have to leave the field of play through the nearest touchline when being substituted.

Reqlly enjoying Sarpsborg refusing to accept how out of their depth they are in the Europa League with regards to players (one of them works as a farmer on the side ), stadium (astroturf and they have to put up temporary stands to be allowed to play their games in the EL) and budget. Really unlucky against Besiktas in the first match, raped Genk in the second and held Malmö to a draw in this one. They’ve said fuck the league, resting players and on a five/six whatever losing run, to focus on their EL games because they say they might never get to a European competition again, and they might actually advance from the group. I love it

£25 on correct score 3-1 between Sarpsborg and Malmö. £20 on Sarpsborg -1 £30 on Patrick Mortensen FGS

Started betting on first goalscorers. I don’t think I’ve had one correct in like ten attempts
-
Ballack, Klinsmann, Rosler, Podolski... I'd guess Hamann and Huth as well, purely from their longevity? No chance on the remaining three if all my six so far are correct. Sane can't possibly already be on that list though, can he?

I hope for Jim's sake he is otherwise someone who should be wiped from the planet. A bit harsh considering all the other mental things going on at the minute. Less humans on the planet is good for our long term survival tbh. We're inching closer and closer towards Idiocracy becoming a reality tbh. That said, I'd love for the US to have President Camacho instead of President Trump, so perhaps we're already there.

Yeah, Argentina should wipe the floor with those Brazilian excuses for footballers.

He got Liverpool closer to winning the league than Rafa or even free spending Klopp. It wouldn’t be the end of the world, far from it and probably my first realistic choice should Rafa go. Would rather Ronny Deila Would rather an actual manager, but each to their own.

I just might kill myself if Brendan Rodgers becomes NUFC manager. End of days.

Also, this is probably the fifth time I've seen news articles about "Usain Bolt's pro soccer debut". He's yet to play in something that's not a friendly against shit opposition. Why doesn't the press know these things. Especially how he's played in friendlies for more than three clubs now. (Dortmund, Strømsgodset and Melbourne). Fuck life.
-
He couldn't even get a contract when he had a trial at Strømsgodset, even with Puma saying they'd pay his wages.
-
I get Shearer so I'm alright.
-
Really harsh, right? He's gone pretty under the radar aswell. They’re the second richest team in France, well run and have been fighting in the top for many seasons. Nine matches into this season and they’re in a relegation spot.

I still want us to be a Nike team as an adult.

The actual teams (Brann & Lillestrøm) are irrelevant, but the story is perhaps one of the lowest fan behaviors I've seen in eons. A supporter of Brann got pushed in front of the subway and ended up having to amputate his leg, then Lillestrøm showed up at Brann Stadium with this banner:

If I had the money they have I'd 100% be dressing up in shit ugly very expensive clothes as well.

I have full faith in Rafa Benitez as a manager. I've less faith Rafa is as motivated as he used to be though, which concerns me. But we all knew he'd be off if Ashley didn't sell, so can't say we didn't see this coming either. The fact he's actually still here says a lot about Rafa as a man of his word, but even then the stuff that's been out of his control and going against him would have absolutely broken many others. It's a no win situation for Rafa as is, sadly.

Managed to put £25 on Hertha instead of the £2.50 I meant to do, very pleased about it now

That's totally the same like. See my post following that one regarding reminiscing of good times and mourning what could have been.

Comparing HBA with Kevin Keegan. Relevant. Like comparing Demba Ba with Alan Shearer. Are we following Demba Ba BTW? I don't even know where he's playing these days. He was a better player for us than HBA. The comparison is very apt as it's clearly not a comparison regarding what they did for the club, as that would be a silly comparison as you do point out, it's a comparison regarding how they made the fans feel when they were at the club. When you watched a KK team you were full of optimism and hope. When you watched HBA with the ball you were full of optimism and hope. Then the people running the club took that optimism and hope and threw it in the garbage and put it on fire, which in turn solidified the memory of the optimism and hope one felt earlier, when there's no optimism and hope present anymore. Of course it's part hyperbole how much HBA means to many NUFC fans, but it's a feeling regarding wasted potential and what could have been if they were just backed - which in turn makes those moments of pure joy mean even more to those who witnessed them.
-
We shouldn't talk about Kevin Keegan either, he's not at the club currently you know. Can't reminisce about good memories or follow his current status because of that. That's how things roll.

YT "ESPN FC Sport Science - Messi's goal vs Athletic Bilbao. (2015 Copa del Rey Final)" just watch that. It's a great, great goal. Not sure I'd put it in a top ten list though. Total bias this, I'm sure, but there's two Ben Arfa goals for instance I think are better just off the top of my head.
