I’m struggling to make sense of things, I’m just hoping the media have got it all wrong.
-
Kudus would be great under Howe and can play RW and in midfield. Problem as ever is how we pay for a star player from a premier league team.
-
Worst comes to worst we can just sell him to Juventus.
-
I recall an assumption that Staveley didn’t know what she was doing and as she wasn’t surrounded by proper football men she would fuck it up, so every little thing was being jumped on. She made them look like dickheads in the end, not that they’ll admit it.
-
Forest have more PSR headroom than us according to the athletic.
-
Given that I can’t see a reasonably priced replacement that is as good as him in the premier league, and we have enough on our plate with the various holes in our squad, I’d rather just not sell.
-
Maignan would be a huge signing for them, Sanchez was possibly the worst first choice keeper in the league last year.
-
He’s been getting a lot of negative press for this but to me it sounds like a reasonable thing to do.
-
With all the extra games we’ll need a deep squad though. If we don’t add proper depth this summer I’ll be expecting a really inconsistent season and big problems with injuries.
-
If it was just £40m and done then I wouldn’t complain. I’m guessing we’re about £20m apart in valuation though and can see this becoming a Guehi type saga.
-
I doubt Forest would even accept £50m, I think they’ll push for 60. They’re fine with regards to PSR as far as I’m aware.
-
This sounds a bit rushed for us.
-
Clubs that we can’t compete with will be crawling all over him. It sounds Atletico is the most likely club for him.
-
I’ve always liked Pedro but the story seems to be “Brighton will sell if they’re offered silly money”. It doesn’t look like a great opportunity to me.
-
Every signing they make I just wonder what happened to the 115 charges.
-
Surely we’d be better off pursuing someone attainable. Maignan would pick Chelsea over us.
-
I feel like Madueke has a higher ceiling than Elanga, but needs a lot more work to reach his potential. Overall I’d probably lean towards Madueke. I’m not really interested in Dibling, for the money mentioned you could take a punt on 2/3 prospects from abroad.
-
Amad will be playing RWB with Mbeumo in front of him. Frankly I don’t think Amorim’s system is going to work regardless of who they sign.
-
I appreciate him making the call early and hope he enjoys the money.
-
I’m not confident of us getting anyone in early. It’s no coincidence that the richest clubs are able to make their moves as soon as the season ends. Take Mbeumo, would he sign for us before he knows whether Man U will offer him one of their £300k per week deals? I doubt it.
-
He went to a wealthier club that is also the most successful English club this century, and can offer him first team football. We were never likely to get him.
-
I doubt I would be picking Quansah ahead of Schar next season. Are we looking for someone that goes straight into the first team or someone that needs a season of development?
-
Ederson has been looking poor and is getting linked to Saudi.
-
I don’t think Dibling showed anywhere near enough to justify the prices mentioned.
-
If it’s due to footballing reasons then I hope this has been planned for months. If they just found out that the differences aren’t reconcilable then that would be shit.
