He seems an obvious candidate for a move to Turkey IMO.
-
We’ve got plenty of the likes of him around.

My concern with all these links to young players in Brazil, France etc is that it’s just our scouts watching them and the players agents publicising it. Rather than our transfer team actually wanting to spend money on those sort of transfers. I’m not sure how much we really relied on scouts last summer.
-
If we’re offered a big profit on a player that has been underperforming for 2 years and wants out, then IMO we should take it. We need to be better sellers, this would be it.
-
Do we understand that offering a percentage is supposed to lower the price we pay a bit? Gordon’s fee was considered huge at the time, then there’s Wissa.
-
Delap reminds me of Kieffer Moore whenever I see him for Chelsea. A big aggressive lump running into people. He seems to confuse his opponent for the ball quite a bit.
-
I don’t mind Nunez making the list, but I would’ve thought that we already have someone in mind that we’ve been in contact with. That could be Nunez tbf, but I doubt it.
-
So how many new players is a perfect amount to him, 2-4? You’ll always have a couple of positions that need improving, then some players will leave, some players are simply failures, some players get old. Sometimes you need a refresh. The number of players we brought in last summer had nothing to do with how poor the season went.
-
I think it would be a mistake as Barnes all round game isn’t great. I’m up for Park getting minutes throughout the season and potentially being a Barnes replacement in summer 2027.
-
We go 5 at the back if he thinks we’re going to get humped.
-
No more than whatever Bayern bid, and even then I think we might need to loan him out for a season first.
-
I wouldn’t say easily replaced, nothing about the transfer market is easy. I would be looking for a young player with a high ceiling from a smaller league. In the past we have been linked to players like Doue and Cherki long before they got big moves. Whoever we bring in will likely rotate with Barnes next season, who has his limitations but gets similar end product to Gordon.
-
If we aren’t capable of replacing Gordon then we’re pretty fucked. We need a striker and a keeper as well, and those are probably the two toughest positions to fill.
-
You rate him higher than me. He has his strengths, he’s fast, can press well, and can take a man on using his pace. On the other hand he’s not a creative player that can pick a pass, he can’t strike a ball very well, and is frequently quite greedy. He’s at his best when playing at 100mph, when that drops he looks pretty average. I don’t see him as top level, but he’ll probably do well enough in the Bundesliga.
-
All our other forwards are rubbish tbf. Selling him for a big fee could change that.
-
The only key player we have is Bruno. Gordon is good but replaceable.
-
I’d take Alex Scott. Smit will be beyond us.
-
I don’t believe those four. They would be a good way to spend £180m and still finish midtable though.
-
Curtis Jones, Neco Williams, Liam Delap, Marcus Tavernier. Exciting times.
-
I’m not sure we get over £50m for Livramento at this point. Nunes has done well for Man City and his injuries will have had an effect.
-
Eh? It was offside

If we load up on exciting young players this summer then get Europa league next season I would be over the moon.
-
I’m expecting him to double down on the style that brought him success (it might tripling down at this point). He needs a good start and isn’t going to trust anything else. I was expecting a busy window but Howe’s comments on 6 transfers being too much last summer have tempered that a bit. I’m a bit concerned he will be resistant to too much change, and I’m reminded of him trying to keep Callum Wilson in the summer. Hypothetically, if we receive a bid for Murphy and the transfer team have a replacement in mind, is he going to say no because Murphy is a trusted player? Hopefully there is someone that can overrule him if necessary.

The commentator equivalent to Mike Dean. It’s all about him.
