Horrible game that. One of the many away games in 03-04 in which we conceded late on because we were virtually down to 10 men with Shearer on the field. This the same Shearer who scored 28 goals that season? Bore off, man. He's right though. Shearer and our tactics away from home that year were quite poor. Was this during the time of our "London curse"? Seem to recall us playing a ridiculous amount of games against London based clubs without winning, what was it 30+ games?

Aye, thats it like - he obviously hasn't managed to wangle himself a better paid job anywhere else this time, hence he's happy to sit on his bumper contract, that he only signed last January. He signed one last January? Didn't know that, just perfect

My favorite player ever along with Roberto Baggio, Alan Shearer and Kazimierz Deyna (who died only 2 months from being 42). Only the good die young

Always had hopes he would coach or manage up here

How consistent is Di Natale? Scores in every game that man.

Ryan Shotton can chuck it far. Not that Stoke are all about long throws (of course). hmm, must have missed that. for some reason I usually not watch them every week Aron Gunnarsson, nailed on. Can throw like no other, young and competitive. Will be shocked if he doesn't sign for Stoke at some point.

Good thing we have internationals coming up. We absolutely need both Tiote and Cababe for those manchester games, no chance otherwsie.

"We should be winning this even without Fellaini. They are extremely mediocre, regardless of their league position, which just shows how far you can go with strong, physical players in the Premier League" Our side is strong and physical? Yeah, we've definitely bruted our way to the third place Ryan Taylor, Obertan, Gutierrez, Cabaye and Simpson should all be competing in Mr. Olympia like. 1-1 Steven Taylor with both goals.

I love how many in the press had previously lumped this game into the "truer test of Newcastle's ambitions" matches, but now that we've won it convincingly, it's suddenly just the next four that fit in that category. 13 Delap throw-ins Really PROUD of the lads tonight. Never seen a Newcastle side this focused and organized

Our game v Arsenal was a shocking game of football. Colo was everywhere in that game. Watched it with a Liverpool supporting friend of mine and he was very impressed with the curly captain. Think I'd jump of a bridge if those slanderous rumors linking him with Liverpool would come true.

Newcastle ace Yohan Cabaye has revealed he could have joined Aston Villa before making the move to St James' Park in the summer. Cabaye has proved to be an instant hit at Newcastle since arriving from French champions Lille, but he admits his future could have been different as Aston Villa were keen on signing him. The French international claims he could have made the switch to Villa Park if fellow Frenchman Gerard Houllier had remained in charge, but with the former Liverpool boss stepping down over the summer the move fell through. Cabaye, who has been instrumental in Newcastle's unbeaten start in the Premier League, also played down talk linking him with Arsenal and insists he is happy with his choice to join the Magpies. Live on Sky Sports "My name was being linked with clubs left, right and centre for two years, but there were no firm contacts," Cabaye is quoted as saying in The People. "I had the possibility of going to Aston Villa. But it depended upon whether Gerard Houllier was going to continue in charge and as he ended up not staying I did not join them. "A lot of people thought that I was going to sign for Arsenal this summer, but Newcastle were all I had. "I was never in contact with anybody at Arsenal. They made some enquiries but that was as far as it went. Impressed "The only person I spoke to on the phone was Alan Pardew, and I really liked what he had to say. "If it was all about money I would now be in Russia and not in Newcastle. Many people did not understand my decision but it was easy for me. "The Premier League is the best in the world and I'm happy with my choice. " http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11677/7281342/Cabaye-happy-with-choice Whew, thank fuck for that.

Tottenham unbeaten in all competitions for 11 games, 8-3-0. Just another average team we played during our easy start to the season.

Southampton have won 16 or 17 home games in a row, getting ridiculous.

Saw him in a friendly match against Poland just before he made his debut for Arsenal. He was terrible and well off the pace, couldn't believe this was the guy Arsenal were signing to stopgap their defense.

How easily was Santon beaten there?
