  1. Nah, just a (really) long shot, he will end up somewhere like Santos, or in the Qatari league rather then here..
  2. You're right, it does sound stupid. I'm loving the changed thread title, it implies that Cicinho is somehow less random than other Brazilians. i know I just had to say it..we are looking for a playmaker, why not shock the world and buy a former legened, nice shirt sales, his peformence didnt change alot (scored 15 in 24 last season) , he technique is still one of the best in the world, and he's here for free..why not take him as a back up for our team?
  3. Speaking of brazilian footballers and i know this will sound stupid but, Rivaldo anyone? He's a free transfer at the moment, saw him in the champions league this season and he looked like the same brilliant player he was in Barcelona, a fucking brilliant player and a really class playmaker, i know he's too old but getting him as a back-up won't be a bad thing imo..
  4. Daniel Carvalho is a class act like, he got the physical abillty and the technique to make it in any league, his free kicks are fantastic and i really like him since the day i saw him at the youth world cup in Dubai..the problem Elano Blumer, or simply Elano, saw him play for Santos a few games but he really improved since joining Shakthar but i think it will take him time to adapt to the english style of play, his lack the physical side in his game and i think a move to Portgual (Porto,Benfica and maybe Sporting) seems like the next thing for him. Fred is a bit of a tricky one, if he's having his day there is nothing stopping him, he's strong, fast and is a brilliant finisher (got one hell of a shot on him aswell), i would have him here any day. but the problem is that even with a brilliant Lyon team he sometimes have some shockers..when he's not on his day he is the last man you want on the pitch. Would love to see Daniel or Fred here..but i don't think any of the three will cost less the 5m.
  5. He's Real's best player at the moment, he looks like Roberto Carlos when he was in his prime..fantastic player and there is no chance whatsoever of us getting him..
  6. Inter and Chelsea actually..
  7. He's fat, slow and is slowley losing his form Actually met him back in january when Inter were on a tour in my country..he scored twice against my national team and was class that night, then again its my national team were talking about. I think it will be VERY hard for us to get him, if he wants out of Inter i am sure alot of clubs will be intrested in him, with good training and some hard work from him he can be a pretty good player to have in your team, but then again we are Newcastle and when was the last time we actually turned a player from bad to good.
  8. The same reason Kieron Dyer is constantly making the squad..
  9. I really expected this to happen, Movie style.. Beckham gets the axe, the whole national team starts playing shit, the country screams for their captin to return and under pressure the evil McClaren is forced to take him back I am guessing next he will score a last gasp winner against Brazil.. Don't think McClaren shouldve gave him his place back.it shows a lack of personalty but hey..if he's going to pick Dyer why not pick Beckham
  10. I like him, his tackling is pretty decent and i think he will do a good job here, but i think we can get better.
  11. They do have a MASSIVE point though. Wich is?, West Ham broke the rules, but thats now why THEY got relegated, they got relegated because they were shit and gave a fairly average peformence at best..I agree with them having a point but to refuse to play in the championship because of it is pretty stupid, I think West Ham were fined 5m and thats the end of the story..complaining now after its all too late is just desprate..
  12. I hope they just fuck off.. bunch of boring shit players who don't deserve to play in the premiership.. The only upside about West Ham staying up is them getting relegated..
  13. As suprising this is its actually true, premierleague wise.. But he did score more then 20 goals in 5 seasons in all tournments that is.
  14. Never heard of the lad, thankfully.. But your source is simply brilliant, how can i dare and doubt it..
  15. Sums it up really. Aye,he will do well as our 4th choice striker/the new Sibireski, but hardley good enough to start as a first team regular.. I don't think anyone was claiming him to be the next Henry or anything tbf, you just went off on a big spaz! I did didn't i So we all agree that Ameobi is not s*** but at the same time not first team/regular starter material ?
  16. Sums it up really. Aye,he will do well as our 4th choice striker/the new Sibireski, but hardley good enough to start as a first team regular..
  17. ffs you just wouldnt let go will you? This is Shola Ameobi we are talking about, I know things are looking up but i am starting to think people will come here and say Ramage is the next Terry .. Anyway,i really don't want to drag this argument any longer considring the thread is not even about Ameobi, we'll just wait and see what will he do next season rather then have a pointless argument about him.
  18. That sign Milan players were holding says : "You can take the Scudetto and shove it up your ass" , was aimed at Inter of course
  19. Not worst then Adebayor tbh. Disagree. Julio has done bugger all. Adebayor = the next Ameobi Both (Baptista and Adebayor) were shit last season, both didnt really do enough to deserve a place in the starting eleven in the Arsenal squad, i am pretty much sure that Wenger will play with Henry-Van Persie up front next season and keep Adebayor on the bench as a back up, maybe even get a better striker.
  20. oo well, don't want to be like Invicta and argue for 7 + pages Basically my point is that he has been given his chance before and didnt really show anything special, and i don't think giving him more chances will make him any better.. But, i won't mind if Sam Allardyce trys and get the best of him.. will be delighted if he turns to a good player but i pretty much doubt it.
  21. I am more then willing to give him a (nother) chance..but honestly if he deserves a chance then everyone else in our team does..even Carr, Babayaro, Luque .. Difference is, Shola's actually decent. Played 219 games, scored 46 goals, an average of .23 goal per game, 1 goal for every 4 games just screams decent.. While Luque is a tosser who dosn't deserve to wear the jersey and should fuck off for the first club that comes for him..
  22. IN TRAINING!! I don't care if he was the next Alan Shearer in training, its still training,.. the truth is he is s*** on the field and i don't care how hard he works in training its his peformence in the games is what really matters
