US Soccer featuring Canada Occasionally I guess.

It's mad seeing that stadium full. This time last year, you could actually walk in for free. Adam Jones is better than anyone on New York, btw. -

That's the problem with him. It is actually embarrassing that someone who is so physically intimidating has so little effect on the game. When he asserts himself, he actually looks like a player worth talking about. Jamaica's final ball is very poor. -

What the hell was the Jamaican left back attempting to do? -

The Jamaican anthem is horrendous. How many times can they have the word "Jamaica" in the song, ffs. At least fifteen times. -

I won't ever understand why Canada and Jamiaca are so desperately poor at this sport. -
Regardless of the number he's been allocated, I think Dempsey at Tottenham will go much the way of Pienaar at Tottenham. I think Pienaar is actually a better footballer at the end of things.

 Hazard would have only cost the fourty million, I suppose.

LOOK AT THIS GUY!! LOOK AT HIM! WORLD CLASS!! at Newcastle United.

They are very skint and on the verge of bankruptcy, not a good example. I'd say they are a slightly more successful version of you under Shepherd. And yet they managed to keep hold of this amazing striker. How brilliant, everyone knows that you've got no choice but to sell your best players. Nearly as impressive as us. He was bought for nearly 50 million euro, will be on massive wages, and is his prime. It would be almost impossible for a club to buy him, unless Atletico were genuinely in poverty.
-
Ivanovic and Lampard are nowhere to be found when Atletico are attacking. Both are them are gaping holes in the defence. We should have signed Turan all of those years ago.
-
Yes. Both sides are playing their first teams. More interestingly, Courtois, who is on loan from Chelsea, starts tonight against Chelsea. It is bizarre that this is allowable by the rules.
-
Wow. When did Efe Ambrose go to Celtic? Decent move for him.

I disagree that we are weaker, but still I think the window is unacceptable. The positions in the team that hurt us last season are still there. The same deficiencies remain. The only difference is we now have to deal with the weight of expectation and the rigours of European competition. A bit OTT.

Essien linked to Arsenal. He would actually be on of the worst signings of all time.

When did Europa League groups become so competitive? OM's group (Group C) is legitimately difficult with three very evenly matched sides. Fener and Monchengladbach were both one goal away from the Champions Leaue and Marseille advanced past the group stage of the CL two consecutive seasons. Our group is fantastic. All three locations are relatively close, while still being great away experiences for players and supporters alike. It is a group we should get out of with relative ease, but we must show caution, especially if we are planning to run out a poor team like the one yesterday. I'm not sure about the other two, but Boreaux will rubbish us if we're not careful. Good side.

I went to Craven Cottage for a match last year. It was actually like watching people play five aside at the park. Everyone stomped their feet during corners, this was actually the only sign of atmosphere. I will say that the two matches I went to, Blackburn and Legia Warsaw, the away fans were fantastic. Especially the Poles.

The question was rhetorical. Just looking at his stats he's scored three in the Championship, one in a friendly, and a hatful in lower league obscurity. In what world does being too good for League One warrant someone paying eight million pounds for you? Leroy Lita could do this in League One. Is he worth eight million.
-
English football is mad. Genuinely. I've never heard of this guy and he is going for 8 million? Has he ever scored a goal at the top level in his entire career?

Champions League 2012/13 - Borussia Dortmund 1 - 2 Bayern Munich (FT)

Outside of Group D you couldnt pay me to watch any other matches. What a steaming pile that looks, well done UEFA on creating this mess. There's plenty of other quality sides drawn together. Your reaction seems unnecessary and unwarranted. -

Group D is rough, wow. It is going to be a shame when Ajax don't get any points at all. We saw how they did with those "easy games" last season. -
We really should be in for him. Yes he's going to cost £10+ but thats as cheap as he's going to be until he's 33. He would complete us, he can play in midfield and up front. Never will we be handed an opportunity to sign someone like him in our position again. Remy is a great player, and I've thoroughly enjoyed watching him these last few years at OM, but the guy has never scored more than fifteen goals in one season in France. He's not the messiah come back to Earth. If he's going to cost us fifteen million pounds, there are comparable players we could bring in.

VI/other barca experts, do you think Song will be utilised as a centreback this season similarly to Yaya in 2009 at Stamford Bridge. I think it is odd that they spent so much on a player who will backup one of the world's best in his favoured position while ignoring one of their biggest deficiencies. Maybe they believe the Cameroonian can help there as well.

I watched parts of both matches and Kiev-Monchengladbach was a great tie. Both teams were quite impressive. Happy that Taiwo, Ideye, Yussuf, and Emenike have made it to the group stages as well. Very good experience for them.
